The next day comes and Penny stands in front of the school, her foot tapping on the ground as she searches the crowd for her friend. Finally, a few minutes before the first bell rings, she spots him, laughing along with his new foster brother.

"Freddy Freeman!" she exclaims, storming towards the small boy.

"Oh shit. She's mad," he squeaks out to Billy.

"Is this bad?" the brunet asks, keeping his eyes on the girl rushing towards him, her short green hair blowing behind her.

"Very bad."

"Why can't we tell her again?"

Freddy opens his mouth to respond but Penny reaches him before he can speak.

"A huge man is going to kill me. I gotta go bye. No text back. No call back. Even after I call you fifteen times!?!? Do you think it's funny?" she yells out, glaring at the boy.

"No?"

"You better have an excuse."

"I was practicing a monologue?" he tries, looking at Billy for help who shakes his head. The school bell rings in the back and the two boys try to escape, only to be stopped by a hand grabbing their backpacks.

"This conversation is not over. We are talking about this during lunch."

In the middle of fourth period, the class right before lunch, Penny walks through the halls, heading towards the bathroom. She passes by a hallway and quickly stops as she sees Billy looking around anxiously outside of the teachers lounge.

"What the heck?" she whispers to herself and peaks her head around the corner, watching the teenager.

Freddy bursts out of the teacher lounge with a trench coat in his arms and throws it at Billy, "Sure leave the crippled to do the work."

"Well, you can't be the lookout! Your face gives it away!"

"No it does not. I have a perfect face. A poker face if you say."

Penny decides to step in and walks towards the two boys, her arms crossed, "What are you two doing?"

"Nothing!" both of them respond quickly, Billy with a blank expression and Freddy with a scared one.

She examines her friend's face and tries to catch his eye, but he just looks away.

"You're acting weirder than usual, Freddy."

"What? It's not like Billy and I are keeping a secret or anything!" Freddy quickly exclaims, earning a hit on the arm from Billy.

"Oh. That's reassuring," the girl states, rolling her eyes, "What is going on. You've been avoiding me all day too! I'm not that scary when I'm mad. Now I'm actually concerned. Are you helping Billy run away? You know you can tell me that. I'm not a snitch. You know that more than anyone."

"Hey, what are you three kids doing?" the security officer says, walking up to them.

"Nothing..." Freddy repeats.

"Our dad is going to pick us up. He's outside," Billy says, "Come on Penny and Freddy."

The green haired girl looks at her friends suspiciously but follows Billy down the hall.

"Wait. Your parent needs to be here physically," he states and Penny looks at Freddy who looks like he just caught killing his cat.

The girl opens her mouth to make an excuse but Billy quickly beats her to it, "Oh that's him, just down the hall."

He turns the corner and says loudly, "Hey dad!"

Penny hears him whisper something and then a large crack comes from around the corner. She steps back in surprise and looks at Freddy who has a grin on his face.

A tall man with the trench coat Billy was holding rounds the corner, "Hello! Yes! It's me. These three troublemakers dad making a physical appearance. Is this the security officer all the kids look up to?"

The teenage girl stares up at the unknown man pretending to be her father as Freddy makes a quick remark, "No. This is the asshole one."

The officer looks at the man, not believing that the teenager is allowed to use that language.

"He's kidding!" he exclaims with a nervous laugh, "I'll punish him for that later. Now we got to go."

Penny doesn't speak until Freddy half drags her around the corner, "What the fuck was that? Who is this? Do we know him? Where is Billy? What is going on?"

"I'm right here," the grown man says, causing her to whip her head in his direction.

"Long story."

Bam. Two updates.
