The days that followed were at least in Rumple's mind, probably some of the hardest he ever lived through. And to say the girl was scared was an understatement. She was terrified. Every time he even tried to get close she would shut down. If he tried to touch her, like to brush some hair out of her face for example, she would kick, bite or fight back in some way. For the first time in a long time, the dark one wasn't sure what he was going to Maybe he should think about it....

It was a few weeks after Milah left and Bae knew his father was becoming more drawn into his work than usual. He could tell. Yes, they needed the money to survive but there had to be more to it, but what? So one night, when his father was out, he quietly crept out of bed and began searching for clues. What he found only led to more questions. What was the Jolly Roger?  Why did his mother leave? Where is she now?
