Daichi's POV

We took a stop a cliff near the beach where we got thrashed by Shellmon. Thankfully, Agumon digivolved into Greymon and saved us. as we now were walking off to where the wind guides us to.

"Yo, Agumon" Tai calls over his partner.

Agumon looks at Tai "What's up Tai?" he questions.

"I like it when you're Greymon. No offense, but why don't you just stay that way?" Tai asks his Digimon partner.

"I can't" he responds which Tai huffed in disappointment, "But even superheroes need a rest" he explains.

Hiro walks up to Taichi with Lunamon in his arms "I'm guessing that Digivolving into Greymon takes a lot of energy out of you, huh?" he questions for confirmation from the orange Digimon which he nods "makes sense, ever since Lunamon turned back after Digivolving into Lekismon she seemed sleepy" he then says looking at the sleeping Lunamon.

I look at Coronamon and he was the opposite of Lunamon, full of energy; Tai suddenly tipped over and if it wasn't for Agumon and Hiro catching him, Tai would've taken a swan dive into the ocean; we all laugh as Tai gets pull back from the cliff edge.

All of a sudden, roars proudly soared through the air. We turned around and saw a dinosaur digimon; they looked like triceratops with white bodies and steel armor. The digimon looked straight at us.

"Who's that digimon?" Koushiro asks.

Hiro and I look at each other and I'm sure he's thinking the same thing 'I want to be the very best that no one ever was!' we sing in our mind jokingly, I know bad timing.

"It's a Monochromon, but don't worry about him he's a laid back digimon." Tentomon reassures us or so we thought as Monochromon roars again "Although it is better to be cautious around a Monochromon. They do tend to get a bit miffed when they're hungry" he adds as I sweat drop.

"Then he must be starving because he looks really mad" Tai exclaims in slight fear.

Mimi freaks out "I think he wants to eat us" she states out of panic.

"Triceratops don't eat meat, Mimi" Both Hiro and I tell her.

Monochromon roars again, and this time it was followed by another loud roar from behind us once we turn around to see another Monochromon.

"He was roaring at the other Monochromon" Coronamon state the obvious.

"Something must've set those Monochromon off." Tai says confusedly.

I nod "Yeah, their behavior is strange" I agree.

"They're fighting over territory" the now fully awake Lunamon explains to us.

"They can just have it then." Palmon says running towards the forest while the rest of us follow close behind.

We ran far from the site, Tk went to grab a hold into my hand when he tripped and fell "Come on, champ watch your step" I say to Tk who nod, and we continue running I look and see Yamato looking at me before giving me a thankful nod.

We continued to run far from the beach, we slowed down our pace a little later.

We continued walking until the sky turned pink. I admire the beauty of the Digital World.

Lunamon was sleeping in my twin's arms, smiling and mumbling in her sleep. I can see Hiro smiling down at her, thinking that she was just too cute, not gonna lie she is adorable, and so does Coronamon although he was mostly snoring in my arms which I laugh.

"I never walk this much unless I'm at a mall. And as you can see, we're nowhere near one" Mimi whines and complains.

"Mimi, stop whining" Tai tells her.

Mimi pouts "No! My feet hurt!" she continues to complain.

"Maybe if you take off your boots and socks, you'd feel better, Mimi. It's much more practical, I think" Agumon suggests looking at the pink hat female.

"Agumon, hate to be one asking you this, but do you think Mimi's the type of girl who would walk on dirt barefoot?" I ask the orange Digimon

"I'm not walking in dirt on my bare feet!" Mimi states out of disgust.

I point at Mimi "you see?" I ask while pointing at the whining girl proving my point.

"I love the feel of dirt under my feet, especially between my toes" Palmon said happily, but Mimi didn't think the same.

'How Palmon can deal with her?' I question, and I look at Hiro obviously looking at Mimi and Palmon with the same expression.

"It appears that we may be losing our light source." Koushiro says watching the setting sun.

"Koushiro, why can't you say that the sun is setting? I think it would be easier" Hiro tells the shorter boy as I sigh.

"What a weird sunset" Sora comment looking up the sky.

Hiro also looks up "Really? I think it's lovely" he replies.

"This whole island is weird, and who knows what comes out at night" Koushiro adds, and to be honest he's not wrong.

"Wait, I detect water. Stay here while I check it out." Tentomon says as he flies up to the top of a tree and spots a large lake nearby "Yes, as usual I'm right. It's a lake with fresh, clean water and a variety of tasty fish. It's the perfect campsite" he tells us.

"Maybe I can finally soak my poor aching feet." Mimi whines yet out of relief hearing the news.

"Yay, we get to swim!" Gomamon shouted, but before he could run to the lake, Joe pulled him back by the tail.

"Gomamon, you'd better wait until it's safe first" He warns the water digimon.

I looked down and saw Tk sitting exhausted in the dirt.

"That's why I think we should keep walking and stop complaining." Yamato says clearly irritated by the complaints of the group, can't blame him though I would be the same if I was him.

"Everybody's hungry, we need to find some food" Tai adds.

"That is a good plan. I like that plan a lot" Joe agrees.

I look at Hiro and walk up to him "hey can you hold Coronamon for me?" I ask him.

Hiro nods "sure, I can do that" he says before taking Coronamon from my arms.

I then walk towards the youngest of the group I bend down and face my back towards Tk, "Come on. You're tired, right? I'll carry you to the lake if you want" I tell him.

Tk smiles, wrapping his arms around my neck and hopping onto back; I picked him up, but then changed my plans, I walk over to Yamato and lift Tk over my shoulders and onto Yamato's back. Yamato looks at a little surprised but holds onto Tk as I put him on his back.

I smile at Yamato "thank me later" I say before walking a head of the two brothers and catch up to my, those two clearly needs some brother bonding time.

As the sun sets further behind the mountainous horizon, we come closer to the lake. Once we came across its beautiful pink waters, I notice that there were telephone towers in the center of the lake.

'What is this place, exactly?' I question in my thoughts.

"It should be safe to rest here for tonight" Piyomon says which Sora nods.

"Yeah, I love camping outside" Sora agrees.

"If I won't walk in dirt, what makes you think I'll sleep in it?" Mimi asks.

"Mimi, do you see a hotel here?" Tai sarcastically asks her.

Mimi gasps and looked behind Tai, we all follow her gaze and saw a trolley car with the lights on; we ran to it, thinking that there might be people on it, and to our disappointment, there was no one on board.

Hiro and I walk out of the trolley car and look around, trying to find any sort of dangers nearby; Good thing was that there were no dangers... for now.

After that, we all agreed to sleep in the trolley car, after we gathered some food; Hiro and I stayed by the shore of the lake to gather fish and sticks for the fire while everyone else gathered food from the forest. I walk up to the makeshift fire pit and threw some twigs in the ring of rocks while Hiro stay behind to help Tk and Koushiro with the fish along with Lunamon.

"We're all set to cook dinner, now all we need is the grub" Yamato says.

"Great, but how are we supposed to light the fire?" Sora wonders.

"Maybe I can help!" Coronamon suggest as he runs up to us and turn to Agumon "Hey Agumon, will you give me a hand?" he calls the orange Digimon who runs up to Coronamon

"Sure" he responds as they both shoot a small ball of fire, lighting the twigs a blaze.

"Thanks a lot, you two" I thank them as Tai Sora and Yamato nod smiling at the two digimon which Coronamon and Agumon smile back at us.

"Hey look it!" Tk said happily holding up his string of fish.

Hiro looks at Tk proudly "great work Tk" he says to the child.

"We caught a whole bunch of fish!" Koushiro adds "All thanks to Hiro's tactic" he then says before he and Tk look at my brother thankful which Hiro looks away with a blush.

"I-It's nothing out of the ordinary" he says as Lunamon giggles.

"of course, Hiro and his special leaf technique" I mutter.

Tai grabs the string of fish Koushiro was holding, "All right, Koushiro let's eat them" he states.

"Thanks, squirt." Yamato said as he took the fish from Tk and walking back to the fire.

Tai was on the verge of burning his fingers off, holding the fish directly over the fire.

"This is where I wish we had a microwave." Tai mutters.

"Yeah, me too because you're about to burn your fingers off. Why don't you use a stick?" Yamato says to Tai.

"How'd you know to do that, Matt?" Tai asked as Yamato and Hiro stuck the impaled fish by the fire.

"Because I'm the man" Matt replies.

"You mean Hiro's the man, don't act like I haven't seen you watching how Hiro does it" I expose the blonde which he blushes embarrassedly as Tai teases him.

When the sun set and stars were out, the food was ready, and we all dig in.

"Yamato-nii, mom only lets me eat fish sticks" Tk says with worry.

"I won't tell" the older blonde says.

"I never eat with my fingers" Tk adds.

"Tk, it's all right." I was almost surprised by Yamato's tone of voice he sounded so irritated.

"Yeah, you're hanging with the big boys now." Tai said, and Tk finally digs in.

Hiro and I smile as Tk finished off his fish and took another one, before he finished that one too.

Third Person's POV

Tai walks over to Sora, who was gathering water from the lake.

"Hey, Sora." Tai says "Yamato doesn't treat Tk like a little brother, only like he's a bother. Is it just me or have you noticed that too?" he questions.

"Yeah, Yamato's still learning how to be a big brother" Sora says.

"maybe" he adds

Joe then joins Tai and Sora and looks up at the sky "Hey Joe, what are you looking at?" Sora asks.

"I'm trying to figure out which direction we've been going, but the stars seem to be messed up; I haven't found the north star anywhere" the taller boy explains.

Sora nods "I know, I don't recognize any of these constellations" She agrees.

"you're forgetting your astronomy, if you can't see the north star then it must be on the other side of the world" Tai points out.

"Do you think we should be in southern hemisphere?" Sora questions

Joe turns towards Tai and Sora "I guess is possible if we're still on earth" he says.

"What's that supposed to mean" Tai says before being interrupted by a yawning Patamon.

"Look, Patamon's tired" Tk says the kids look around and see the other digimon sleeping.

Kazuhiro stood up and yawns as well "I think it's time that we all get some sleep. It's been a long day" he tells the others.

"Yeah, Hiro's right we should all get some sleep" Tai agrees.

"Wait a minute, we should take turns watching for any dangers" Koushiro suggests.

"You're right, all of us should stay on lookout for about an hour." Tai states.

Yamato stands up "Not, Tk" he declares.

"Aw, come on, me too, Yamato-nii" his brother plead.

Yamato looks back at Tk "No, Takeru, you're too young, and you need your rest!" Yamato yells which Tk takes a back since Yamato calls him by his full name.

Kazuhiro sighs and walks up to Takeru and places his hand on the younger boy's shoulder "Your brother's right, Tk." he then says "It's not healthy for you to stay up so late. It's best to get some sleep for tomorrow" he explains.

"Okay..." Tk gives in.

"I'm getting cold, I need a warm blanket to help me sleep" Mimi comments.

Those words clicked something in Tai's head. He began to tease Gabumon about Mimi stealing his fur. which the Digimon didn't find it funny at all

"Tai" the twins warn the tanned-skin boy before Yamato got defensive, pushing Tai away from his Digimon.

"Quit it!" Yamato yells

"What are you bugging about?" Taichi questions.

"Gabumon told you to stop, so, knock it off!" Yamato says to him.

Tai frowns "Hey, you can't tell me what to do!" he yells.

They began grabbing each other by their shirts, about to throw hands before Daichi cuts them off.

"That's enough both of you!" Daichi scolds the two boys.

"What? You want some too?" Tai threatens Daichi which the older twin frown.

"He said...Enough!" Hiro yells making everyone minus Tk who Hiro's hide his face from the fight "you two are scaring Tk, so stop!" he angrily yells at Tai and Yamato.

They let go, turned their backs, and crossed their arms with a huff; Kazuhiro sigh and let's go of the confused Tk.

"You both make great guards. Who goes first?" Joe asks, trying to ease the tension.

"I will" Tai yells first.

"I'm Next" Yamato yells after.

"How about if Koushiro takes over after that and I finish up the night? I propose the rest of us tread back to bus and get some shut eye" Joe then suggests.

"Sounds good to me" Daichi oblige and heads to the trolley "Good night" he then says as Hiro follows behind.

They then gather a bunch of large leaves and pack them on the floor for the digimon.

"I can't sleep with all of you here." Mimi complains.

"Quit complaining. So, it's not perfect, just be glad we have a place to sleep." Sora responds.

Hiro nods "so either this or the dirty floor? you pick while I sleep" he says before falling asleep.

Koushiro looks at Hiro nervously "someone remind me on keeping him on his good side" he says as the others agree before they fall asleep.

Hiro suddenly wakes up and tiptoeing out of the trolley and goes to grab a random leaf and takes a deep breath and blows on the leaf.

Once he finishes playing the leaf whistle, the water became rough and the land shook. We looked towards the little island and saw a large sea dragon digimon emerge from the water.

The digimon's roar wake everyone up before Hiro hear Lunamon's scream as he stands up.

"What's going on!?" Hiro hears Sora asking from inside the trolley.

"It's an earthquake!

"Oh no it's Seadramon!"

Hiro opens the door "Everyone out the trolley, now!" he yells.

Everyone ran out of the vehicle watching in fear as the digimon dragged them further into the lake. The digimon started attacking and it seem to irritate the bigger fish of the scene. From the distance, Yamato and Gabumon dive into the water, swimming their way over. Tk got overexcited and runs over to Yamato but slips off the edge and fall into the water. Thankfully, Gomamon was able to save him on time and back to shore.

"Tk, are you okay?" Hiro asks rushing to him.

"I'm-m-m o-okay." He responds shivering from the cold water.

Hiro takes off his sweater only now leaving wearing a white tank top "Take off your sweater and put on mine. You'll have a better chance of not getting sicker that way" he advises giving him my dry sweater.

"W-What about Yamato-nii" Takeru asks.

"He'll be fine. But I'm sure that all he really wants right now is for you to be safe" Daichi walks up to the two reassuring the younger boy.

As Yamato was still trying to distract Seadramon, Gabumon gets yet out of the water and Yamato got pulled into it in the process. He's then pulled out of the water but was now wrapped in Seadramon's tail. everyone watched in horror for his life, praying that he would make it out alive. Hiro and Daichi can't imagine what his brother must be feeling, watching as well.

"This is not good!" Tentomon comment "Seadramon may be a bubble-brain, but once he finds his prey, he won't let go!"

"That isn't helping, Tentomon!" Daichi shout.

"nii-chan, hang on!" Tk yells with teary eyes. "Patamon, please help him. Hit 'em with a bubble boom!" Tk begs his Digimon.

"Seadramon's way too big, I just don't have enough power now. Gabumon you're stronger, how about you?" Patamon asks.

Gabumon hang his head low, "You're right, Matt is in trouble, and I must help" he says.

"Gabumon!" they looked up a struggling Yamato.

"Yamato, hold on!" Gabumon shouts back. All of a sudden, when they all look down at Gabumon, they all see another digimon overlapping him.

"Yamato!" Gabumon shouts. Just then, a bright light engulfed Gabumon; the light grew along with the digimon.

"Gabumon Shinka...Garurumon!

When the light fades away, a new digimon appear and launched at Seadramon; Seadramon let's Yamato go and the boy swims to shore.

"Are you alright, Yamato?" Tk asks.

Yamato nods at his brother "Yeah, but where's Gabumon?" he then asks.

Daichi points at the large wolf "he digivolved into Garurumon" he explains.

Everyone follows the older twin's pointing finger and see the large wolf in action.

"Garurumon's fur is legendary, it's strong as steel. He's like a growling torpedo." Tentomon informs us.

"That's astonishing, then he must be invincible." Koushiro gasped in awe.

"Well, that's what I've heard anyway. We'll soon find out." his Digimon replies.

"I hope you're not exaggerating Tentomon with another one of your wild fish stories." Tai said.

"He could be." Koushiro says.

"But I hear about it!" Tentomon defended himself.

Seadramon shot ice at Garurumon, but the wolf digimon broke free.

"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted. A large blast of ice blue fire shot itself from Garurumon's mouth straight at Seadramon.

Seadramon roared as he fell back into the water, defeated; the kids cheer in victory as Garurumon turns back to Gabumon.

"Gabumon!" Matt exclaims happily "You digivolved into Garurumon just in time" he tells his Digimon

"Oh, Gabumon, thanks for saving my brother." Tk says as he hugs the blue digimon.

Gabumon happily return the gesture "Any time little friend" Gabumon says.

Tk turns back to his older brother "Yamato-nii you were so awesome against that monster" he tells him.

"You think so?" Yamato asks as a tinge of pink warmed his cheeks.

"yeah you're the man" Gabumon says agreeing with the little blonde.

"Well, you're a wolf-man" Yamato jokingly replies as the other laugh.

Soon after, Gomamon and his army of fish push us back to land. Koushiro then discussed something about a pattern when it came to their digimon. Apparently, when Tai, Hiro, and Daichi were in danger, Agumon, Coronamon, and Lunamon turned into Greymon, Firamon, and Lekismon, and Gabumon turned into Garurumon when Yamato was in trouble.

"That has to be the answer!" Koushiro concludes "our digimon only digivolved when we're in trouble" he then says.

"Pretty obvious when you think about it" Daichi chuckles as Hiro shakes his head.

Kazuhiro's POV

Quickly enough, we all got really tired due to the lack of sleep last night, so we all thought it would be best if we took a nap for a few hours. Before I could shut my eyes, I heard a harmonica being played across the lake. I knew it Matt and smiled. I got up and made my way over to get a better hearing. I then hear the soft mutter coming from the sleeping Tk.

"Big bro, you're the best" Tk mumbles in his sleep.

I smiled and sat against a tree close to the group, barely falling asleep to the soft melody of Yamato's harmonica.

but before I could close my eyes I see Taichi walking up to me with my sweater

"Hey Hiro, Yamato wanted to give this back to you, Tk told him that you gave it to him after he fell in the water, and he said thank you" Tai tells me.

I nod "it's not a problem, really" I respond before taking my sweater from Tai's hands "It's usually what I do for my little cousin when we don't have a towel around" I explain.

"I'm sure Yamato was inspired by both you and Daichi" Tai says.

"How so?" I ask.

"I mean, last night you were able to convince his little brother to sleep so casually. How?" Taichi then ask.

"Oh boy," I think about it for a second and gave him my answer. "Well, kids like Tk at their age don't fully understand the concept of being told "no," so I use basic human logic to show kids the consequence of his decision of not sleeping. They might not always like it, but you can't kid them to obey you because you're older and you say so. That makes them lose respect for you and can change the way they see you. At least, that's my way of putting it"

"Yeah, that would be, I have a little sister, she was supposed to come with us to camp, but she fallen ill so she couldn't go" Tai explains.

"what's her name?" I curiously ask.

Tai looks at me "Her name is Hikari Yagami, but everyone calls her Kari" he says.

"you know, I have a feeling that my cousin from Miyagi would love to be friends with Tk and Kari, just have a feeling they would" I say.

Tai smiles at me "alright then, have a nice rest Hiro" he says before leaving me to sleep with Agumon

"you too" I reply before pulling now the sleepy Lunamon close to my chest and we lay on the tree and fall asleep.
