Confessions at sunset (not edited)

Chakuro walked along the Mud Whale with Suou, just talking. Then, they sat down on a grassy hill to look at the sunset in the sea of sand. Deciding that there wouldn't be a better setting to confess, Chakuro spoke up.

"Hey—"

"I—"

Suou and Chakuro made awkward eye contact, and Suou motioned for Chakuro to say what he was gonna say.

"Uh, I just wanted to say that.." Chakuro gulped, not sure if he should follow. When Suou gave him a reassuring smile, he knew this confession wouldn't be too hard to say. "I always admired you, and I kinda sorta like you."

Chakuro then covered his blushing face with his hands in embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry, that was weird, wasn't it?"

Suou laughed quietly. "No, not at all. I sorta kinda like you too."
