Baekhyun's POV
Baekhyun can only gasp and tremble at his reaction to the magnificent wolf, standing protectively in front of him. His body feels on fire, a sickly sweet scent clings to his skin, and once again to his shame his robes and backside are damp with that wet, sticky substance again! The air is thick with tension, and all he can feel are constant ripples of arousal, every part of his body is hyper aware that his mate stands lest then 10 feet away from him. Emitting such powerful pheromones even his wolf is effected! His wolf is mewling, paws and flank already lowered presenting himself ready to mate. Baekhyun wants to cry, his body burns with need for his mate, the heat haze the omega's at the temple used to gossip about completely consuming himself and his wolf.

Its only the sound of a vicious snarl that snaps him out of that all consuming haze, Chanyeol still stands protectively in front of him. The snarl clearly not one from his mate, he can see Yukio now, however he seems to be very agitated as he paces wildly from left to right. Feeling more lucid, Baekhyun whimpers once when he sees the lifeless body of the wolf that had cruelly restrained him in a position only Chanyeol should ever see, on his arms and knees. Baekhyun feels no emotion as he glimpses the corpse beside him, he always believed  seeing a creation of the moon gods getting killed would effect him more. Oddly he doesn't feel the despair he expected, it could be his heat haze but all he feels is an odd sense of pride that his mate did that all to keep him safe.

Becoming more lucid by the second, he can see the carnage before him, Chanyeol's appearance should warrant the winter clans to cease their attack. Yet these wolves that are clearly part of Yukio's pack, have remained unwavering in their positions! Completely unyielding to the wolf who demands their submission. Baekhyun can feel his heartbeat picking up when he realises that these wolves don't care for traditions installed by their elders millennia ago. A feat in its self as all he wants to do is bare his neck and submit to Chanyeol's every whim. Taking his eyes away from his mate, and Yukio he notices there is still a distance between himself and his mother, his mother who's truly in the thick of the fight. A dirty grey wolf remains poised to attack only inches away, too close really as he could easily bite or scratch at his hind leg, maiming his mother enough to get a chance at his neck. Scanning the area breifly he can see Jongdae thankfully is not far completely low on his belly. Baekhyun has had no training in defence, but he can see what ever that dirty grey wolf was trying to attempt with his mother would of failed, Jongdae has his talons extended ready to swipe. Sehun has the other two to contend with, his posture screaming complete control ready to strike the moment the winter wolves so much as twitch.

Yet even he can see not one move has been made in what feels like minutes, but is probably seconds since Chanyeol burst through the trees. Something isn't right, he can smell it in the air, he can feel the hair on the back of his neck standing to attention. That's when he shivers as Yukio once again with those evil yellow eyes turns to face him, baring his canines is some sinister wolf like grin, that sends ripples of fear down his back. Seconds later six more wolf appear from the tree line the winter wolves had stood originally. Two of them heading for his mother, four straight for Chanyeol! Baekhyun watches as the fight explodes to life around him. Sehun takes out one of the wolves he was facing much in the same manner Chanyeol did, a quick snap of the neck by his teeth ! Sehun's reflexes are fast and sharp, he's already circuling the others that have approached him! A loud roar of pain comes from the wolves advancing on his mother, who he can see has already given one wolf a clear swipe of his paw. Baekhyun can't help but feel terror racing in his heart, this is no place for either of them. Yes his mother can defend himself, but not against such odds, he just hopes his father can feel the distress he can't voice right now.

His eyes widen when he sees that Jongdae has his teeth clamped in to one of the wolves legs, those sharp teeth piercing the muscle. Making the wolf  howl out in pain as he shakes that leg like a chew toy! As for his own heart his magnificent mate, its all a blur of snapping teeth and sharp claws! Unable to differentiate between each of those winter wolves and his mate, is doing nothing for his wolf who is snarling at hun to make a move! He wants nothing more then to help, he would be nothing but a distraction to everyone! He can't fight he's never been shown how to defend himself, he knows he read somewhere on the scrolls in the temple that blue omegas can't heal. Perhaps that's why he's been kept on a pedestal all his life, it's not because he's not capable! He's sure he can be once giving the training. He's been kept away from anything that can harm him, to protect his life and lineage. Perhaps that will change now he has a mate he would like to prove himself too, thoughts on having that discussion with Chanyeol when this is over stops instantaneously! His heart hammers into his ears when he realises what wolf now stands a foot away from him. That disgusting mix of arousal and death seeping into the air around like poison.

This time those evil yellow eyes bore in to his soul like the devil, and have him completely frozen on his knees. He can only watch in horror as a paw the size of his head is raised towards his chest right where his heart is, it would take just one deep swipe against his chest to inflict major damage and possibly his death! Perhaps that's what Yukio wants to deprive Chanyeol of his presence, something his strong warrior wolf would never get over. He shouldn't take his eyes off the evil beside him, but if this is how he will die he wants the last thing he sees to be his mate. He can feel the tears building in his eyes as he spots his mate, his strong handsome warrior wolf! Who's still fighting valiantly against three remaining winter  wolves. Baekhyun notices the moment his distress and pain he feels push through their still closed mate link!

It's like times stops as Baekhyun watches as those deep obsidian eyes turn to him and become suddenly clear of their intense wrath! Before that wrath of the gods stare once again glazes those eyes, Baekhyun sees a flicker of horror! Chanyeol too must realise he's too far away, doesn't seem to stop him though, Baekhyun's can only watch as his warrior wolf turns his head towards the heavens and lets out a loud and ferocious roar! Baekhyun watches in amazement as the wolves that were attacking him to drop to their belly's. He's never seen anything like this, it's so raw and primal the way his alpha can command immediate submission from his enemies. He's knows it's inappropriate but can't control his own reflexes as he falls to the ground on his back, all he wants is to lay open to his alpha. His wolf whining in agreement as his skin prickles with all things he's going to be embarrassed about when this is over.

Baekhyun doesn't have to look at Yukio to know he will be furious at his packs instant submission. Chanyeol's position as supreme alpha demands that all wolves bend to his will. It's equally mesmerising as it is deadly as he watches the true might and majesty of Chanyeol's supreme alpha wolf take take a step towards Yukio. Yukio who has shown the most disrespect by not heading his call. Yukio even dares to step closer to him, it's far too close for an alpha wolf of an enemy to be. Before he can stop himself he is sending out his own heat induced distress signal!

Chanyeol!

Chanyeol POV!
The distressed call of his name from his beautiful unclaimed mate is so strong, it's enough to push through their link! Temporarily becoming lucid enough to fully grasp the situation at hand, and what he sees has molten hot fury coursing through his veins! His delicate mate that he has forced on to his back with the demands for submission, from those not in his pack looks absolutely horrified! He can smell the sweet vanilla of his heat and is fully aware his mate is producing slick!  The air is full of that delicious cinnamon scent, and is the strongest he's ever experienced! It's all mixed with his erratic and scared pheromones, he needs to get Baekhyun out of here to somewhere safe and warm.

He's sees nothing but red over the excitement and arousal he cans smell coming off Yukio in waves, his hackles raises at just how close he is too his precious mate! One more step and he could commit an act Baekhyun is not ready for, and something he will never forgive himself for either. It's bad enough he's put his young mate in this situation in the first place! Chanyeol has his teeth bared and doesn't care that he's already growling low in his throat as he continues to stalk closer to Yukio! That runt is far too close to his unclaimed mate, he hates that he can't envelop Baekhyun in a cocoon of safety! He can't trust him self around the call to mate his precious star is currently demanding! He want to mate of course he does and he knows Baekhyun will be beyond confused as his continued silence in to their link, he needs to get him out of here first. He will then fully intend to beg on his knees for forgiveness. First though he wants nothing more than to pounce and sink his teeth into Yukio's jugular veining. He won't as to kill a clan alpha will cause a war, one he's really not interested in fighting! Yukio it seems isn't interested either, his focus has been solely been directed to his beautiful rare moon child! It sickens him to know the arousal he can smell in the air is not just his mates, but Yukio's too!

It's a move he didn't expect of the cold a and calculated alpha, he had expected to find the winter clan trying to separate Baekhyun from Sehun and his mother. To his horror his precious star has still been separated, but no move to snatch him has happened. Instead and something he didn't plan for is this! He just can't believe he seriously misjudged Yukio's intentions! He always believed that should a blue omega be discovered the winter clan would do anything in their power to capture and in-prison them! Baekhyun being unharmed and Yukio's clear arousal is his worst nightmare. The hard fury rippling across his muscles has him ready to pounce the moment Yukio makes his move, he can tell the way Yukio is swishing his tail that he's nothing but full of smugness and greed.

It's a stance that has his hackles instantly raising, especially when Yukio lets out a howl! Chanyeol recognises that howl instantly it's a call to arms, it sends chills down his spine! He is strong as is Sehun, Jongdae too despite his already injured leg. They have already faced off against more then a handful of wolves! Three of which lay dead beside him, his heartbeat intensifies as he can't reach out for his own aid, his father and pack are already engaged with Blanca and her mutts. He can't take much more of the clear intent to harm his mate, and once again allows that power to consume him.

He gives Yukio no warning as he launches towards him, hai razor sharp claws on his left paw already extended! Milliseconds is all it takes for his claws to meet the short dirty fur on Yukio's back, digging his claws deep revelling in the satisfaction he feels at the roar of pain this sad wolf lets out. Its music to ears! It's almost too easy aa he punctures that leathery skin, prolonging the pain by cutting through that tough skin one claw at a time. All using the power he renowned for, with a strength he seldom uses Chanyeol puts force behind his paw and yanks Yukio away from his most precious star! Immensely satisfied when he releases his claws and Yukio lands against a tree, something cracking underneath that dense dirty fur! It's the signal they all needed as he hears Jongdae and Sehun resume there attack against the wolves still standing.

He's instantly beside his mate, standing protectively above his legs like the guards of old! He would laugh if he was in human form at how pathetic Yukio looks right now as he struggles to his feet, he knows he only has a few seconds before what ever back up Yukio has left in the trees appears! That is of course any made it away from Yixing, the only thing more dangerous then an alpha protecting his mate, is a parent protecting their child! He's never been more proud of his pack for their actions today, whilst he's been like a wolf possessed his father dispatched Kai, Tao, and few of the younger alphas and betas to assist Yixing in his hunt for dirty mutts!

He estimates if any of the winter wolves escaped Yixing and his pack they will not be without injuries! Which gives him the needed extra seconds to calm his mate. Sehun he knows will make quick work of the the wolves surrounding him and will know keep Yukio away whilst he gets Baekhyun to his feet. Finally with Yukio far enough away he has the fleeting seconds he needs to calm Baekhyun! He starts by removing the block to their link, before his precious star can realise what's going on he floods their link with as much love and calmness he can. The onslaught of pain his unclaimed mate is handling almost brings to him down  on his stomach. His own conscious almost bending at the intense arousal he feels as their link is flooded with that sickly sweet smell of cinnamon and vanilla. He can't help himself as he turns around away from the biggest thread their love, before he can nudge Baekhyun in to moving he can help as he runs his snout across his precious stars soft tummy, all kinds of feelings pulse through him at the mere thought of it one day being filled with their pups!

He allows himself to leave his snout pushed into that glorious soft skin of Baekhyun's lower stomach, the strong smell of his slick sending shivers down his spine. He knows he can't stay like this his large wolf form would crush his delicate mate. The has he suddenly feels atop the soft fur of his ears makes him want to purr, the need to make his mate safe soon takes over the want to mate. His whole being is in total disagreement with his head but this must be done.

My love you have to get you your feet,

I can't I need you please!

I know precious star and we will, but not like this. We will mate amongst the finest silks with the light of a new moon to bless us.

The moon gods will surely bless our union, will you then claim me as your rightfull mate.

I promise you will bare my mark both when we are alone and for the world to see!

I burn for you Alpha!

And i you my precious star, you must get to safety. I will send your mother after you. Your father is not far and will lead you to your new home. Where a safe place for you to nest will be waiting!

I don't want to go with out you!

The sudden angry snarl behind him, snaps the spell between them, Chanyeol will not allow Baekhyun to remain here a moment longer. He has just enough time to cover Baekhyun as the trees just behind him explode with a melee of wolves both his own pack and the winter pack. Desperate to keep Baekhyun safe he uses his muzzle to encourage him to his feet, relief filling him when he notices a golden red wolf bursting through the trees seconds after the scrum of wolves. The ash blonde wolf that had finally got his teeth in to his assailant drops the wolf in his jaws  like a sack of spuds, when he realises his husband is close. Their reunion is sweet but fleeting, no sooner have they licked each other's muzzles are they rushing to his side. Chanyeol allows them to crowd round Baekhyun, who throws his arm around his mother finally allowing himself to be pulled to his feet. If he were a lesser wolf he would be upset at the way his mates trusts his parents, but they have a unique bond and Baekhyun is still so young. It takes only seconds for Baekhyun to be placed on Yixing's back, where he promptly succumbs to his heat.

Chanyeol is given a brief nod before by Yixing  before he watches heart in his throat as Yixing sprints back the way he came, Minseok at his tail. He doesn't take his eyes off the two wolves and his precious mate. His heat not hammering so hard when his mental command to the beta's his father dispatched follow after them. He knows his father has chased off Blanca, he would feel it in his bones if anything had happened on his doorstep, nor would he dream of letting Baekhyun out of his sight if he had any inkling his lands are compromised. First he will neutralise these mutts, reaching out to his father for a damage report can wait.

Turning around his heart almost stops, when he finds the spot Yukio was in empty of his presence. Before he can help himself he lets out a loud  ferocious roar, the sound of growls, and snapping teeth silenced with his menacing roar. Chanyeol takes on step closer to the tree Yukio was at the bottom off, and inhales deep allowing the scent of the winter wolf to invade his senses. It doesn't take long before he can smell that cloying scent of death is downwind, the other direction to his golden encampment. It's small relief that Yukio has not downright flooded his mate, Chanyeol is furious both with himself and that mutt for getting away. Thankfully he will not be far, all thanks to that unmistakable scent Chanyeol will be able to track him.

Completely enraged he uses his power to once again command the submission of those not in his pack, taking great delight how they drop to the floor like dominos. He has already taken life today, something that was necessary to save Baekhyun as it would of been a fate worse then death he would of endured at Yukio's hands. Even the elders would not condemn his kill, no one should restrain an an unclaimed omega. The elders will however condemn him should he go on a rampage and kill any more wolves for following the orders of their pack alpha. He may first for blood to spilled over the blatant disrespect both to his pack and this woodland, but there are other ways to get it. This too will infuriate Yukio just as much.

Kai, Tao I trust that you can keep watch over the wolves that acted under Yukio's command, you are not to harm them let them rest, when night falls they can leave. Jongdae, I need you back at the camp rested ready to help with the healers and midwife Baekhyun is suffering and you and the midwife are best placed to ease that. Sehun my brother, we have some hunting of our own to do are you with me.

The answering growl from his most trusted friends is all the answer he needs, as he once again allows absolute power to ripple through his muscles. It's the boost of adrenaline he needs to take off in pursuit of Yukio, a prayer is sent to the mighty moon gods that the fast approaching nightfall is alight with the light of the stars so that he can keep his family safe as his paws pound at the earth in pursuit.

What a whopper of an update if I do say so myself.

How was that, I really hope you like it.

I hope I have balanced this out with enough detail and dialogue for our chanbaek and enough suspense. Many of you I know will not be happy Yukio has not met a grisly end. All I will say is if I killed him off now this story would be very short. Trust me I have a plan and his end will come, when the time is right.

This is so close to having 500 votes and 3000 reads, which i am so gobsmacked over, I truly though for a little while you all would hate my first ABO attempt. I am so pleased you have proved me wrong
