Chapter
"Mr Harmon?"
He turned around and looked at a confused Nikita. She wanted answers and so did he. Austin came down the stairs and saw Mr Harmon there, he looked at the book and quickly tucked it under his jersey and continued downstairs and joined the two by the smoke. He also saw Becca and Pamela inside the smoke.
"Oh great," Mr Harmon spoke when he saw Austin, "another one who didn't die, fantastic," he turned his head to face Nikita, "and what are you doing outside of the smoke?"
Nikita looked into Mr Harmon's eyes and back into the smoke. How did she get out? It slipped her mind for a second but came right back. "GUYS! CONQUER YOUR FEARS!"
Mr Harmon laughed. They couldn't hear her and it was evident since they were trapped in screams.

Becca held on tightly to the railing of the rollercoaster ride. Tears streaming down her face, it was loose and she had to keep from flying right out.
Adrenaline high. Black surrounded her, the rollercoaster wasn't riding on the ride, it was just the seats flying through the air roughly. She didn't know which turn it would take next, it moved to the side and her body swung to the side. Her eyes focused on what was happening around her. If she falls she has no idea where she would land. She can't see any floor so she might fall forever. The ride twisted and turned and it made her nauseous. Her head spun, and her vision blurred. The ride got straight again and she saw a stop light in the middle of the air and it was on the green. She got nervous when she wondered what will happen when they reach the light.
The ride suddenly stopped launching her into the air. A fire burned in her lungs as she screamed, scratching her throat. Her eyes couldn't get bigger than it already was when she saw a clown just standing there with a hammer in his hand, laughing. She fell on him. He broke her fall.
The clown slowly started growing all the while laughing. She sat there on the floor. Sweat beat down her forehead, down her cheeks. Tears ran into her mouth. The clown lifted the hammer and aimed at her, she quickly rolled out of the way and jumped up. The clown's laughter grew, she didn't know what to do but ran and scream. He lifted the hammer again and she ditched that hit as well. She turned around to look at her biggest fear, he opened his mouth. Sharp teeth jumped out from behind his lips, snakes stuck their heads out of his mouth as well. The snakes attempted to bite her. She was shaking at this point, her face red from all the crying, her veins standing out from all the screaming. He lifted his hammer again all the while the snakes tried biting her.
He hit the hammer right next to her body, the hit was so hard it lifted her and she fell to the ground. A snake came out of its mouth and bit her on the hand as she tried blocking it from biting her face. The pain shot deeply into her, the venom travelled through like lava as it burnt. Her vision blurred and she couldn't keep her eyes open anymore, she lost the fight and closed them.
It was so dark around her that she thought her eyes were still closed. The thudding of her heartbeat in her ears, or so it sounded. Her cheeks damped from all the tears that made their way into her mouth and down her neck.
"Hello! Pamela! Mr Harmon! Anyone!"
Her legs trembled. It felt like she was drowning in the darkness, she jumped when she felt a wind pass her and started running. She wanted to get out of her, she hated not being able to see where she was. The more she ran, she could see a small light far off in the distance. Life. She ran up to it and saw it was a lamp, her heart rate quaked against her ribs. She picked up the lamp and was overcome by instant sunlight. She sighed in relief and wiped the sweat that glistened on her forehead.
The street she was in was unfamiliar to her but she didn't want to remain standing in the middle of nowhere so she started walking with the lamp still in her hand, afraid that the second she puts it down that the darkness might get her again.
She wandered around in silence. Knowing by now that screaming won't get her anywhere, she took a turn into the next street when she saw it standing right there. A black horse.
She froze up as her blood ran cold. A horse. She has bad memories of them, having fallen from one when she was eight. And seeing her uncle get kicked in the face. He broke his nose and had to get a new one. That was the final straw for her, she wanted nothing to do with them. She often saw them in her dreams, chasing her, and she hoped that this case would be different. She could never outrun a horse. That's a fact.
She slowly took a step back, the horse neighed like it was offended by her choice. Her knees banged against each other. She gulped and took another step back. This time the black horse flared its nostrils and shook its head as horses do and she couldn't help but sense that she was once again in danger.
She dropped the lamp and started running. Thankfully she wasn't consumed by darkness like she thought she would be, but the bad news was that the horse got on its back paws and neighed loudly before she could hear as his feet ran towards her.
She couldn't control her tears, couldn't control her crying and yelling. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her and felt a violent force pushing her down on the floor. Her nose hit the cement road and instantly broke. She winced out in sharp pain and slowly lifted her head from the floor and saw blood dripping down before her eyes on the cement.
She looked at her hands and tried lifting her body, once she did she turned around directly into the horse's face. He huffed, hot wind hitting her face. Tears streamed down her cheeks. The horse lifted his paws and kicked her in the face knocking back to the ground facing up at him. It screamed again and raised those paws again. Just like in her dreams, she could already see it. How he won't stop until she's dead until she realised something.
"There's no way this can be real," the horse stopped and looked at her like it was confusing. "YOU'RE FAKE! YOU CAN'T HURT ME!"
The horse neighed and galloped away. She just sat there, shaking. She can't believe that just happened. She stood up to one of her fears. She rose to her feet, her hands still shaking but at least she was doing much better and now know she was in control of her fear.
