Chapter

The lights went off, and everyone was surrounded by thick darkness. A pitch-black sight so exquisite that you honestly couldn't see what was going on around you. And with the monsters that roam the mansion, anyone would be happy to not see anything.

All that could be heard was feet searching for a place to settle, heaving panting since the mansion is too huge. Then, of course, one could occasionally hear someone stumbling into something.

Morning, a fifteen-year-old hopeless girl was trying to find a safe place to hide. She joined last year because all the Frozen Kids seemed so cool and she's obsessed with the supernatural so she thought being around ghost Mr Aldin would be incredibly cool.

Which it was, she had superpowers, wore the latest fashion and had the most expensive gadgets. But now being a Frozen kid took a tumble. She's now fighting to stay alive.

She ran up to the roof. She plans to stay there until the game ends. Who would go and look for anyone on the roof?

Climbing on the uneven and slippery roof was nerve-racking, she had to stop and catch her breath each time she almost fell down the three-storey mansion.

She sat there, satisfied. She knows for a fact that she's safe. Until she saw a ten-foot spider with a lion's face.

She screamed, and it roared and made its way towards her.

She started crying and screaming out for help, but no one heard her since they were all indoors.

The spider roared again, revealing its dagger-sharp teeth which caused Morning to hyperventilate and tremble. She slowly and carefully crawled backwards. Away from the lion spider. She screamed each time she almost slipped. She was just so scared at this point.

Her slow crawling was no match for the hungry beast who came towards her fast.

She gave up crawling and closed her eyes. It was so close to her that she could feel his warm breath against her skin. Sending waves of fear and shock throughout her body. She took a peep at it and saw as it opened its beak. Its teeth were so sharp, and its beak was filled with slobber. Her eyes widened with fear and she lost her balance and fell from the roof head first.

She twisted her neck and tried to get up and run away from the mansion and back home. She tried moving her body, her fingers, she limps, but she couldn't.

She tried calling out for help, but she couldn't even do that. She smelled the blood that was running freely out of her body. Then she saw the spider beast again, and it started eating her alive.

"A FREEZING ROUND IS COMPLETE!" a demon yelled right after he froze a boy named Adam.

Everyone gathered at the entrance area.

"Good, one by one... Seems like you're losing Pam, how does that feel like? I'm having them frozen for all eternity and there's nothing you can do about it." He said smiling at his victory.

"Wipe that stupid smile off Becca's face Mr Aldin, I'll be victorious at the end of this game."

He stopped smiling.

"Lights off, begin!"

Everyone hurried to various locations all over the mansion. Spots that they've already reserved.

This time Pamela ran into the gym. It was huge, and every gym equipment you can think about was in there. Once there, she rushed to the showers and hid.

She felt at peace. However, she hates being dragged into this game. Each round they play is around she wished that she was still in the painting. Being out here was torture. It was perfect in there, after all, she had both her parents, and life was like a movie. A perfect one, with a Disney ending.

Mr Aldin sees everything, he knows whenever someone gets killed. Even the ones who die outside of the game.

A mysterious man came into the gym room, he roamed the entire place through. He searched for someone to kill. He entered the shower room. Pamela heard his footsteps.

One by one he peeked into the shower stalls, and he opened the one she was hiding it. Her eyes grew with shock. He wore a mask on his face. Plain white with no holes to see through, with no nose nothing. Just a plain white mask. In his right hand he held a knife, the knife Mr Aldin gave the players in the game. He threw the knife aside and attacked her. Banging her against the walls and eventually choking her. To death.

The lights went on, and Mr Aldin's voice filled every corner of the house.

"Your saviour got killed," he could be heard saying, his voice loud, "everyone gets her at the entrance area."

They obeyed and met downstairs. She wasn't frozen, but she was dead. Choked to death. Everyone was silent. This was the end. They're all doomed.

Mr Aldin couldn't stop laughing. He was over the moon, they lost the game and he won all their souls.

"What now?" Lacey asked.

He laughed again.

"Now you all sacrifice your souls to the book. I win,"

"No!" Said Todd out of breath as if he just joined them all, "we all get at least one chance to be free. If I win, my soul is mine. I say let's continue the game,"

Mr Aldin didn't even think about it.

"Sure," he said, "it's one measly lucky soul over the rest of the losers anyway. Let us play the game. Lights off, begin. "
