When I was three, at our old house, we had lots of river rocks and such, so one day, I picked one up, discovered worms, proudly displayed them to my mom, and said: "Mommy! I found SNAKES!"
My mother replied with: "Those are worms, not SNAKES." I looked to my mother with utter disbelief, and insisted that they were pink snakes, not worms. We went back and forth until my mother gave up and agreed that they were "snakes", and not "worms". Boy; was I stupid as a toddler! To this day, I still love worms, and ALWAYS get out of my way to take the live ones off the sidewalk, and place them in my yard. (Or someone else's!)
