8(old)

Hosuku was setting up the blow up mattress when I entered my room. I chucked him a pillow from my bed and pulled a blanket from the cupboard.
"Man, your mum's great. Every morning I came early she'd give me romance advice." He said stretching his back like some old grandpa.
"Really? Since when?" I asked sitting on my bed. Hosuku sat cross-legged on the floor mattress.
"I think I told her I liked you a couple years ago so since then."
"Wow longer then I expected. Why did she only dump a pearl of wisdom on me tonight then..?" I sighed. Hosuku laughed and got into his covers. It was pretty dark out but not that late.
"Sleeping already, chicken wing?" I asked through a yawn because I was tired as well.
"Yeah, but shouldn't you get changed before you sleep?" Hosuku said.
I looked down at myself still wearing the kimono. I got back up to go to mum, with a pair of pjs so I didn't have to change in front of Hosuku, because I had no idea how to take this off properly.
She helped me and I went back to find my friend, no, boyfriend, already asleep.
Before getting into bed I sat on the floor and played with Hosuku's hair. It was soft, like his feathers. I stroked it lightly.
"Y/n..." Hosuku said. I stopped touching his hair and looked at his face to see if he was mad. He was still asleep. I smiled and crawled into my bed my heart still fluttering.

Hosuku shook me awake. His face was in mine and smiling.
"Urgh... What time is it..?" I asked groggily
"It's morning!" He said somehow energized already.
It was a Saturday so I found it weird that he was waking me in the morning. He usually woke up at the crack of dawn but never used to wake me as well.
"Whatdaya thinking waking me up this early...? Imma sleep s'more..." I stuffed my face back into my pillow.
"Aw, okay then. Guess I'll eat all the good to your mum's making~" he teased.
"...fine I'm getting up." I said lazily after a sigh.
I rubbed my tired and heavy eyelids, stretched my arms and back. I had to grab whole of something when I stood up because I immediately got a headache.
"Woah, you okay? Seem a little shakey..." Hosuku grabbed my arm and steadied me.
"S'fine. Just a headache. And I'm starting to hear a loud ringing..." I said. My eyesight was being covered blotches of dark gray clouds and I couldn't hear anything besides a weird ringing.
"Hey, Y/N!!" Was the last thing I heard from Hosuku before my hearing was completely blocked. My eyes closed again and I tumbled but a firm hand gripped my arms. Then blackness. A strange void enclosed my mind and I was lost.

~~~
I opened heavy, gunky eyelids. The first thing I saw was a bright hospital light hanging loudly above me. Then a familiar silhouette covered the light.
"Damn... How long I been out, chicken wing...?" I asked with a throbbing headache.
"Y/n!!"He yelled, "thank god you're okay!"
I opened my eyes more and could see Hosuku more clearly. His eyes were puffy and he the corners of his eyes were red raw from rubbing them so much.
"Okay... What the hell happened?" I asked confused.
"You fainted after you got up. It was so sudden. Luckily, your mum rushed you here." He gestured to the white hospital room, "How do you feel?"
"Urgh, I feel like a million bucks..." I said sarcastically.
Hosuku looked at me with worried eyes but he smiled. His adorable soft smile that made me want to cup his face in my hands and kiss him. Instead, he kissed me on the forehead and got up from the chair next to my bed he was on.
"I'll get your mum, and the doctors. I'm really glad your okay. I thought I'd lost someone again..." He walked out the room before I could say anything.
He returned not long after with some doctors and my mum who did a few quick tests before letting us leave. The cause of my faint was low blood pressure and low iron and I was prescribed some iron tablets.
The car trip back was silent except my mum's occasional asking if I was okay. And I was. Besides my headache that wouldn't go away.
We dropped Hosuku at his house in the way home and said goodbye. I knew I'd probably text him as soon as I was home, but I already missed his company.
"Now, you're sure your fine?" Mum asked for like the zillianth time.
"Just a small headache. It'll be gone soon enough." I reassured her again.
