'Of-fucking-course...' I thought as I walked into my classroom. Kai sat in his assigned seat with his phone out in the same classroom that was my own.
I tried my best to be invisible and unseen by Kai, or any other kids for that matter. Luckily, I was able to sneak by and start to read a book before home group started.
"Good morning class. I'll be your home group teacher for the next 3 years of your education, miss. Yuri." A slender, big breasted woman with long purple hair and half moon glasses strutted into class. She was a bit young to be teaching but seemed really mature.
"Before anything, we have to head to the auditorium for the assembly." She turned and her heels clacked on the hard floor. The class followed a little dazed by our dazzling teacher.
The assembly was really boring. The only interesting thing about was the cute mouse-bear-cat thing that was our school principal.
I sat bored again in english, which was taught by an old guy with a receding hairline and a creepy aura. He kept glancing in my direction and one time I swear he licked his lips. I didn't know why he was doing it and it looked like nothing so I pushed it to the back of mind thinking it was nothing important.
So far school seemed like it was just going to be a more boring version of middle school. What fun...
"Y/n, can you tell us which sentence is right? Y/n? Miss L/n!"
"What? Oh sorry, yeah. C. Sentence C is right because the others aren't punctuated properly." I answered the teacher.
"Correct." He went back to writing on the board and I went back to doing nothing and waiting for lunch. I couldn't wait to see Hosuku again. Today was way to boring already.
The lunch bell saved me from having to answer another question from the teacher. I got up packed away my stuff but hung back until Kai left the classroom.
I left and took out my phone. Through a quick text, Hosuku and I arranged to meet in at the oval.
I looked around to try and find Hosuku but to no avail.
"Boo~"
"Shit! Holy crap you actually scared me, haha!" I laughed of the fear that had shot through me when Hosuku scared me.
"You get scared to easily~ Imma have to protect you forever~" He teased.
"Oh ha ha. Quirkless little Y/n needs to be protected by a big strong pigeon, doesn't she." I said monotone.
"Come on. I didn't mean it like that!" He smiled awkwardly.
"Hmm. I know. But it's true no matter what." I looked down at my feet then back up with a smile, "Lets find somewhere to eat!"
I skipped off and Hosuku hesitated before walking after me.
"Hosuku~!" A girl called and both Hosuku and I stopped to see who it was. I didn't recognise her but I assumed Hosuku knew her.
"Oh. Y/n this is one of my classmates." He explained.
"Yep! Anyway, I wanted to ask you something! Do you have a girlfriend?" She seemed chirpy, excitable and... I hate to judge but... extremely annoying.
"Oh, uh... Yeah. Sorry~" Hosuku said. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He put a finger over his mouth telling me not to dob on his lie. I just shook my head and got out my drink bottle.
"Oh, would it happen to be this girl here?" The girl asked. I happened to be taking a sip of water when she asked that, and me being my stupid self, choked on the water.
"Um, yeah. Yep!" He popped the 'p' and turned to me. I knew he was just using me to get this girl of his back but I still blushed a whole lot.
"Oh, okay. I'll leave you two alone then! See ya' in class~" she skipped away.
"Warn me when you're gonna say something like that. Now the schools gonna think I'm going out with a human chicken." I said once we found a place to eat our food.
"Haha sorry! It's just so many girls have confessed to me already between class. Just pretend until the girls are over me! Please, I'll buy you a lunch everyday until then!!" He put his hand together and smiled. Damn, he was too cute. How could I say no? I would be going out with my crush, even if it was fake and only for a little while.
"Fine, but you better get me the best stuff from the canteen or it's over buddy." I said all high-and-mighty.
"Thanks!!" He stuffed his face with good once that matter was dealt with. He was even cute eating, dammit. We started chatting idlely.
"Ah, idiot, you have a bit of rice on your cheek." I leaned over him and placed a hand on the floor beside him so I could balance as I picked it off the grain of rice.
It took a moment for me to realise how close we were that moment and when I did my face was redder then Hosuku's wings.
"Sorry! That was weird!" I apologized and sat back a few more inches.
"Haha, it's okay. Thanks. We are together for now so it's fine!" He laughed like it was nothing. Of course it was nothing. I was just being a drama queen...
Our maths teacher was the same as our home group. She was a really good teacher and explained stuff clearly and actually made maths interesting. When the bell went I hung behind to talk to the teacher.
"Um, miss. Yuri?" I said quietly.
"Yes Y/n? Need something?" She was even prettier up close.
"Oh, um... I was wondering if... Okay, wow, I'm going to sound like a nerd saying this... But could I somehow get more work? Do I can practice more I guess." I asked nervously.
"Of course! I've never met a student want to learn more maths, usually they hate maths!" She changed character completely. An air of excitement floated around her and she had the widest smile.
"Well, your teaching really got me more interested in maths. It was so much easier to understand then previous teachers I've had, haha!"
"Oh, I know! All my maths teachers were really unclear when they taught so I wanted to teach it the way my maths tutor taught me!" She glowed as she talked.
"That's such a cool aspiration!" She handed me some extra worksheets and I left happily.
"Hosuku!" I jumped into Hosuku's back while he was distracted by his phone as he waited for me at the schools gate.
He laughed and grabbed my feet so I was now piggy-backing him. Luckily I was thin enough to fit between wings so he wasn't hurt.
"Why are you so happy?" He asked slowly putting me down.
"I don't know... Maybe it's because I have the best maths teacher ever~ She's so nice and pretty and smart!"
"Okay? Well, we better go before the train leaves without us!" We ran to the train station. The whole way I felt like someone's eyes were watching me but ignored it.
