At a young age, he doesn't completely understand the idea of loving someone not related to him. Though, all he knows that his heart was only beating for someone he knew ever since they were born, metaphorically but literally. Of course, he didn't realize about his feelings for his childhood friend right from the start. He actually just knew about it when they were in elementary and his friend told him that he has a crush on some girl.

He got jealous, not surprised.

They very much spent most of their time together. Their parents are friends, what did they expect? He's friends with the children of his parents' friends too, but his childhood friend is different.

Unfortunately, his friend needed to finish highschool in Thailand because of personal reasons.

And now, Blue felt lonely.

Though, life hasn't been really tough on him while he makes friends with other people but it wasn't easy. Blue's just an awkward person, a shy one, and River is just the exact opposite of him. River's born as a social butterfly, and the boy was fine being with an extrovert like him. He misses the chaotic energy of that guy.

It's been years since River flew to Thailand. Blue didn't know when he will come back, or if he'll eve come back here in Korea. The boy just didn't feel the same without him. He's maybe just too inlove that he feels something like this. He graduated junior and senior high, River hasn't come back. He didn't really ask him, he doesn't want to pressure the man.

Also, he would sound suspicious and weird asking him that.

First day of class, in college, and Blue was nervous and tensed. He doesn't know what will happen and it's a bigger thing to deal with. Most seniors told him that it's way different from high school, so he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't even know anyone in his batch, that's fun. Both of his parents did tell him to enjoy college but Blue wasn't just in the right mind now.

"You think you can go home without me, Lue? Me and your papa won't be able to pick you up most of the time," his father, Jaehyun, asked.

Blue nodded, "I can take taxis, dad."

"No, you won't. Your papa didn't allow you take those," the older said.

The boy furrowed his eyebrows at him, "What? How will I go home?"

"I asked someone to drive you home."

Blue frowned, "I don't like jokes, dad."

Jaehyun chuckled, "Why do you even have to have that kind of attitude from your papa?"

"I don't like how you sound!"

"Oh, come on. I'm serious, Lue."

When they arrived, Blue opened the door of the car and stepped out. He was surprised when his dad did the same thing as well. The boy weirdly looks at his father but Jaehyun wasn't bothered.

"Dad, don't embarrass me," Blue whispered.

Jaehyun rolled his eyes playfully, "Nonsense. The one who'll drive you home will be studying here too."

"Oh, great," the boy sarcastically said.

"It won't hurt you, Blue."

The boy just crossed his arms with a frown on his face, looking around the campus. There were many students already and were in groups. Blue suddenly thought about making another set of friends. He wasn't a fan of trying to be awkward again. He sighed.

"Oh, there he is!"

Blue looked at the direction where his father was pointing at. A normal person wouldn't even know who he is pointing at but the boy felt like he's imagining things. Blue was hesitating at this point but he couldn't help but feel a surge of mixed emotions when he saw the guy was jogging towards them, away from a small group of people he's talking to a while ago.

"Riv, good to see you back!"

It is River. He's gotten very tall, like his other father. He looked different too. Maybe because of puberty. The guy was much...handsome. Someone who looked really good in just a white shirt and a pair of sweatpants. River looked different but feels the same being with him.

"Lulu, you don't remember me?!"

Blue was staring at him but shook his head, snapping himself out from his thoughts, "Wh-When did you arrive?"

"An 'I miss you so much' and a tight hug would be nice."

It would be but Blue was still confused why he's here and didn't even bother to tell him. River has his arms wide enough for the boy, waiting for his hug but it didn't come any second after. The man sighed and groaned.

"It was a surprise, okay?" River said, "I don't want to ruin it so I wasn't able to talk to you in, like, a week a few months ago because I was arranging my documents. Papa told me I can continue college here so I did and asked your parents the university you're going to attend and I made sure I'll be accepted so we be together now. Are you happy now? Give me a hug, Lulu! I really missed you!"

Blue rolled his eyes at him but went in to hug him tightly. His arms around the taller's waist and his face snuggling against the collarbones because that's just how tall River is. A contented smile slowly crept on the boy's face, have a nice warm feeling against him. River felt the same thing.

But Blue did have to pull away. His father was still there. When he looked at his dad behind, Jaehyun has that kind of teasing smirk but removed it because he knew his son would get mad at him.

"Alright, I'll leave you two. I'll see you at home, Lue," the older said and went to place a forehead kiss on Blue, "Come over at home some time, Riv."

"Will do, uncle," River said cheerfully while he waves.

Jaehyun exited and drove away, going to work. Blue doesn't know what to do after that. He was just standing on the same place, completely frozen, until he thought he should go around campus to make himself familiar. But that wasn't the case.

The boy jolted when someone held and tugged his hand, making him look behind.

"Come with me. I'll introduce you to--"

"No, thank you."

"No! You're coming with me!"

River literally dragged Blue towards the small group of people he was with. They greeted the boy very nicely and politely then the taller started introducing Blue to them. So Blue wouldn't run away, River has his arm around his shoulder while he talks. Now that he's with River again, he remembered how he could become everyone's friend.

It's the first of class, and he's already talking to strangers.

Well, who wouldn't be comfortable around him? River just has a nice aura and very easy-going. He's handsome, charismatic, he got the brains and athletic. He's like the perfect guy in books and movies. Everyone also loves him, romantically. River did tell him stories about some people giving him letters and gifts.

The boy thought he'd be in a relationship.

Blue wasn't really right up his alley. His parents are very attractive, individually. His papa is pretty and famous when he was in his young age because of his talents. His dad is, by far, one of the most attractive persons in his time and he heard some stories about it. Basically, his parents are one-of-a-kind people but Blue seemingly didn't get either of their genes.

You see, Blue is just very "simple." He wasn't as attractive as people would think because of his parents. Science says that a child would be a better version of their parents, but it's the opposite. Grey and Ruby seemed to get their genes instead. And that just disappoints Blue.

No one can deny about most people thinking that someone is attractive because of their physical appearance.

"Lulu?"

Blue snapped out and hummed, "Yeah?"

"Spacing out again?" River asked.

The boy shook his head and smiled at him, "I just still couldn't believe you're here."

The man cooed and hugged the boy around the neck, "We should spend some time together!"

"Yeah, sure. Your treat."

"On second thought, I think I'll pass."

"But--"

"Let's go! The orientation will start!"

A/N: about a whole week, i wasn't able to make some chapters

so, chapter 1 is all i got today :D

also, this is like the bonus chapter i made (i forgot what book tho), just a bit longer and with more background story
