Okay, let me clear things up here in this One-Shot,

1) This One-Shot is dedicated to a Writing Contest by: TeruTategami

2) This One-Shot is basically a somewhat of a preview of a book that I'm making with my friend. The book we're making is about the Reader in the Straw Hats pasts, and in Luffy's past, Reader has a crush on Sabo. And since I don't want to give away too much, there's a few changes to keep this One-Shot and our W.I.P. story separated.

     You are a part of the (L/N) family, a rich family in the Noble class. Even though you've had everything handed to you even before your birth, you felt like something was missing.

     And so, you left your part of town and went out to the lower classes of this village.

     Your parents have told you multiple times not to go, yet your curious mind lets you think otherwise.

     You enter the place your parents call, "Gray Terminal".

     After taking a few steps in, you see many men scouting the massive piles of trash for any high sentimental object that is considered valuable.

    You stoped your tracks when you see three shadows casting over your body.

     You look up to see three men smirking down at you.

    "Well hello there little girl. Do you know what kind of place you're in?"

     "Yeah, especially when you have that pretty necklace around your neck."

    You look down, fearing about their next movements will be, "I was just taking a walk."

     "Heh." The leader grabbed onto his gun, "Not a very smart idea to wander in here and expect nothing to happen to you."

     He cocked the gun and you jumped a bit from hearing the sound, "I don't know a lot about this place, because my parents never explained it to me fully. They only said that this is a place where people with lower salaries live."

With Sabo~

     He was walking along side with his good friend Ace, "Hey Ace, you got any plans when you have your own crew?"

     Ace nodded, "Yup. They're gonna help me lead to victory as a notorious pirate."

     Luffy jumped in between, "I know what I'm gonna do with my crew! They're gonna help me become King of the Pirates!"

    Sabo laughed, "I really wonder how that's gonna turn out for you. I can't wait for the future."

    Ace smirked, "You can't be King of the Pirates if you can't even beat us in a fight."

     Luffy growled, "Shut up! I'll beat you guys up when I'm older!"

     Sabo laughs at Luffy's anger towards Ace.

     Sabo then spots something unusual, "Huh?"

     He stops walking and tries to get a better look at the scene.

     After getting a better look his eyes widen.

     Ace and Luffy look at him.

     Ace raised a brow, "Sabo? What you doing?"

     Luffy follows him and sees what is happening, "Huh?"

    Ace walks over to them and sees what they're seeing.

     The leader cocked his gun at the girl.

     Luffy began to panic, "Hey, we have to help her. She's gonna die!"

     Ace sighs, "Alright. Since we have nothing better to do."

     Luffy looks at Sabo, "Ready? Huh?"

     Sabo's breathing ragged a bit and his eyes widen at the girl.

     "Sabo?" Ace questions his friend. Before he can say more, Sabo rushes towards the males and attacked them.

     "Sabo?!" Luffy exclaims at the sudden action.

    You stood there with your eyes widen from the sudden attack. You look at your savior kicking their butts easily.

    Sabo focused on the leader and didn't notice that the third guy held the gun close to Sabo.

    You shrieked, "Watch out!"

    Sabo quickly turned around and the leader punched Sabo off of him with all the strength he still somewhat have.

     Ace and Luffy saw enough and jumped to the men and whacked them with their pipes.

     The three panted from all of beating they've given the men.

    Ace looks at the blonde, "Sabo, what was that for? Why did you suddenly attack them without letting us know?"

     Sabo looks at you, then the ground, "I just got, so, angry. I lost control of my thoughts."

     Luffy then walks over to you, "Hey, are you okay."

     You nod, "Yes. But what about you guys? You guys mostly took the beating."

     Luffy grins, "Yeah, but we're strong. So you don't have to worry." He laughs.

     You giggled, "Alright then. By the way, thank you so much for helping me there, I don't know what I would do if you three hadn't showed up."

     Ace looks at you, "You probably would've been dead."

     You sweat dropped at his comment, "Ah, yeah. Thanks for reassuring that statement."

    Sabo kept his glance at you and grunted.

     You walked around the forest with them, "Wow. The forest is huge! It's amazing!"

     Luffy walks next to you, "Just wait until you see the crazy animals here!" He shouted excitingly.

    You look at him, "What?"

    Ace rolled his eyes, "Don't minf him, he's an idiot. You're not capable of taking down something really crazy, so we're just gonna show you the safe parts of this forest and then you can go home."

     You waved your hand, "I don't mind. I actually want to see them. I haven't had an exciting moment in my life."

    Ace chuckled, "Alright. But don't blame us if you get killed."

     You scoffed, "Yeah yeah."

     Sabo looks at you, then down on the ground, '(Y/N)... I missed you.'

    "It was fun hanging out with you guys. I'll definitely want to come back tomorrow!" You waved to them.

     Luffy waves both his arms, "Bye (Y/N)!"

     Ace makes a small wave.

     Once you were out of sight, Ace turns to Sabo, "Alright Sabo, she's gone. What's the deal with you two?"

    Sabo looks at Ace, "What do you mean?"

    Ace rolled his eyes, "Come on Sabo. Don't give me that, you've been avoiding her since you first saw her. So what's your deal with (Y/N)? Did she do something to you?"

     Sabo shook his head, "No, she's...

     she's my crush."

     Luffy and Ace picked their noses, "And?"

     "You asked me first!" Sabo shouted at them.

     Sabo sighs and explains, "When I lived with my parents, I've always had a crush on her. She was so pretty and I couldn't take my eyes off of her."

    "Then how come she didn't recognize you?" Luffy asks.

     "Well, I've never talked to her. I just mostly stared at her from a distance. But because of my parents, I can't like her. They wanted me to marry a royal woman, not someone just from our class."

     Ace looks at Sabo, "Well you had a chance to say something today, why did you do nothing but look at her?"

    "I haven't seen her in so long, I just don't know what to say to her."

     "Well she's coming back tomorrow, you better do something about it, otherwise you're just gonna be silent the whole time."

    Luffy grins, "Don't worry Sabo, you can do it."

     Sabo smiles, "Thanks guys."

The Next Day~

    You ran in Grey Terminal and straight into the forest, you waited there for the three to arrive.

     Ace and Luffy gave Sabo a thumbs up.

     "You got this Sabo."

     "Don't mess this up."

     Sabo nods and walks to you, "Umm excuse me?"

    You turn around to see Sabo walking towards you, "Oh, hi! Where's Luffy and Ace? Are they not here with you?"

    Sabo rubs the back of his head, "Well they couldn't come. They went to do their own thing, how about you hang out with me."

     You nod, "Sure, I would like that. I bet you know really cool places too!"

     You swings over the alligators that tried to bite your legs off and onto the branch where Sabo was.

     You laughed, "That was so cool! I can't believe you do this all the time."

     "Yeah, we do this to get some dinner when we feel like eating one of these guys."

     Your eyes widen, "You hunt for your food?!"

     Sabo nods, "We hunt them down and give them to Dadan."

     "Dadan must be shocked with what you bring to the table." You giggled.

     He wvaes off that sentence, "Nah, she's pretty much used to it. Or at least that's what I see everyday."

     You spend tine with the boys for the past two months and you enjoy every visit you make.

     You've also have gotten more attached with Sabo out of the three.

    "Hey guys!" You smiled as you walked to them fighting.

     Luffy waves at you, "Hey (Y/N)! We're fighting. Right now, Ace and Sabo are at it."

     You sit next to Luffy and watch in awe from seeing all the moves the two gave each other.

     "Wow, they're both strong..." You mumble.

     Sabo was about to kick Ace, but it was blocked and Ace took this opportunity to kick his side and take down Sabo, giving him another victory once again.

     Sabo grunted and smiled at Ace, "You really kicked my butt there."

     Luffy adds another point to the chalkboard, "Ace won by one point."

     "Only by one? Dammit." Sabo whined.

     You walked to Sabo and hugged him, "Don't worry, you'll get him next time. And Ace, you were amazing."

      Sabo blushed and laughed, "Thanks (Y/N)."

     Ace chuckled, "Thanks (Y/N)."

     Luffy looks at you, "When I get stronger, I'm gonna beat both Ace and Sabo!"

    Ace smirked, "Idiot, you'll never beat us."

    "Shut up! I'll do it one day!" Luffy yells at him.

     You and Sabo laugh at their silly argument.

     "Hey, Sabo."

     He turns to you, "Yeah?"

     You felt heat rise to your cheeks, "There's something I've been meaning to tell you."

     Sabo raised a brow, "What is it?"

     "I really like you. I really wanted to get it out of my chest, I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way, I hope we can still be friends though."

     Sabo smiles and hugs you again, "Of course I like you. I have since I met you."

     You returned the hug, "Really?"

     Sabo nods and releases the hug, "Yeah, I want to be with you for the rest of my life, do you want to be a part of my crew?"

     You nod, "Of course. If I become a pirate, I'll be sure to have so much fun with you! You'll be one of the strongest pirates out there!"

     Ace and Luffy laugh at your little scenery.

     Ace grins, "Looks like you got yourself a crewmate already Sabo."

     Luffy raises his arms, "Yeah, and maybe, later on you guys will join my crew!"

     "No way!" The three shouted.

     Luffy gasps, "Ehh?! Come on!"
