"But I don't want to..." Levi muttered under his breath. We were in the car on the way to his house, Hanji probably thinks I've kidnapped him.

"Levi, you've got to face this at some point, and the longer you wait the worse it'll be... Trust me, I know from experience." I said softly, turning the radio down a little so that he could hear me.

"But she'll be mad... she won't want me there after I hurt bushy brows." I chuckled and glanced over at him.

"She won't be mad Levi. I've talked to her already and she can't wait to see you."

"Yeah but that was a week ago... can't I just stay with you and Mikasa for a little longer?"

"It's not right Levi, I'm a professional psychiatrist, how do you think it looks if I'm living with someone I work with?"

"Why do you care?"

I sighed loudly. We'd had this conversation on more than one occasion and he was starting to convince me, and we can't have that now can we?

"Why do you call him bushy brows anyway?" I asked, hoping to change the subject without him noticing.

He just shrugged, seemingly too tired to want to explain, and looked out of the window with a sour expression.

I pulled into a parking space around three minutes later.

"You ready?"

"No, but you're gonna make me do it anyway."

"You know me so well." I said, feigning flattery.

We got out of the car and walked over to the door, I raised a hand up but before my knuckles even touched the dark wood, the door was flung open and Hanji threw herself onto Levi, almost knocking him over.

"Woah, Hanji... let him breath."

Hanji released Levi after another second of hugging and then moved to me, squeezing me so hard I think my eyeballs could have exploded.

"Thank you so much for looking after him Mr Jaeger. I appreciate it a lot."

"Oh jeez, call me Eren. And really it's no problem at all."

"Hey Levi, I was thinking... why don't we go out to Le café Rose? We haven't been there in a while."

Levi's eyes widened and he tilted his head, as if asking if she was serious. Hanji chuckled and looked to him again.

"Well?"

He nodded vigorously and smiled wide, making my heart melt again. I say again because he's been doing it for the whole week he's spent in my apartment.

"Go and get some stuff then and we'll go, yeah?" She smiled.

He raced past us and up the stairs to pack some things before she changed her mind.

"His favourite restaurant." Hanji said in answer to my raised eyebrow.

I nodded in understanding and then smiled.

"He uh... He seemed to like it at your place." She said with a small smirk.

"Yeah well... It was probably just the change of scenery."

"Yeah, I bet he loved the scenery." She whispered to herself. I don't think I was supposed to hear that...

"Well... I better get going, I have an appointment in an hour." I said with a smile, turning to walk away.

"Eren, wait!"

I stopped and looked over to her.

"I don't know what you've done to make my son love you so much but regardless... Thank you for helping him... I nearly lost all hope." 

I felt the blush creep up onto my face as she spoke but I smiled anyway.

"Oh it's my pleasure really... let him know that he's welcome to come over anytime." I said, my resistance finally breaking.

"I'm sure you'll regret those words because he'll be over there twenty four seven, but I'll tell him."

I nodded and slowly made my way to my car as she shut the door. I could hear giggling coming from inside as I walked away and I smiled. I'm happy that they're happy.
