~Umiko~

"No last name?"the boy asked "I do have one but it's not my real one, nothing against the man who raised me but i just think of him as more of an older brother"i said shrugging a bit "Why are you here anyway?"he asked "Oh we're doing some training here tomorrow and i thought to get a little more training in ahead of time"i said.

The boy said nothing as i took out a scroll and some kunai, i tossed the kunai to random places and placed the scroll on the ground, reading through it one last time i nodded to myself and made a handsign trying to focus when the boy attacked me, i managed to dodge it though having sensed his intent to attack.

I glared lightly at him and he glared back activating his Byakugan with a small smirk on his face, i huffed a bit and smirked "I happened to be training too, you're in my way"he said "Is that so?"i asked taking a stance myself, "Doesn't matter who got here first you're in my way"i told him, his smirk widened to almost a smile before he attacked.

I managed to dodge the first strike and jumped back avoiding close combat with this guy but he jumped after me closing the gap, i made the handsign and prayed to got i wouldn't get torn to pieces, then i felt myself shift and found myself behind the boy, i didn't feel any pain and looking myself over i was still in one piece.

"Oh my god!!! I DID IT!!!"i grinned cheering and in my excitement hugged the boy who was clearly taken a back by my sudden attitude change "Sorry"i said and cleared my throat and took advantage of his confusion and pinned him to the ground holding a kunai to his neck.

He chuckled a bit deactivating his Byakugan "That jutsu what was it?"he asked, i got up and helped him up before collecting my scroll "The Flying Raijin Jutsu, the second hokage is my favorite and after begging for years, gramps finally agreed to let me borrow this scroll but he said i had to learn it on my own, that was a week ago"i said rolling up the scroll and putting it away.

The boy nodded "You're clearly stronger then your average fresh out of the academy genin"he said , i blushed a bit, was that a compliment?, i mentally shook it off "You could say that i guess, i just took my training more seriously, that and i have an insane amount of chakra, i've been told i used to have high fevers all the time cause of it"i said.

"So they placed a restriction on you?"he asked, i nodded "It was designed to weaken as my body, psychical strength and all that grew to match my chakra"i said, he nodded "Anyway you're pretty good, what do you to training together?"i asked.

The boy was clearly thinking about "Alright"he eventually said, i grinned "Awesome, oh never told me your name"i pointed out "Neji Hyuga"he simply said, i grinned again "Nice to meet you Neji"i said, with that we trained well into the evening.

~Third~

Five am, a sleepy Naruto and Sasuke arrived at the training ground only to find Umiko passed out and sleeping on the ground covered by a blanket, no matter what they did she wouldn't wake up though.

Hours later Kakashi appeared "Morning everyone, ready for your first day?"he asked "YOU'RE LATE!!!"Naruto yelled, Sasuke just huffed and Umiko snored a bit, the sensei sighed a bit and walked over to the sleeping Umiko "No wonder she didn't come home, she must of spent all night training again"he muttered, before whispering something to Umiko.

"MY SUSHI!!!"Umiko yelled standing up like a spring board scaring Naruto, she then glared at Kakashi "Now now you know i'm only kidding"he said and with a sigh the girl calmed down "I know but i still hate it when you threaten my sushi like that"she said getting up.

~Umiko~

Kakashi just sheepishly chuckled and set a clock to noon "Your assignment is very simple you just have to take these bells from me"he said holding two bells, i was wide awake now but still hungry, damn i should of just taken Neji's offer to walk me home and not stayed for more training, oh well.

Anyway i got the goal of this test as soon as i saw the two bells but i won't even bother asking Sasuke or Naruto, Sasuke's massive ego will just get in the way and Naruto well he's an idiot, Kakashi said we were free to use any weapons and from there i started to think of my plan, my kunai with the Flying Raijin seal are still scattered all over the training field.

I could try lay a trap but i can't think of anything that could work being so hungry, zoning back in Kakashi called start and i hopped away hiding myself in a bush, i hummed crossing my legs and just thinking while hiding my chakra.

UGH!!! It's no good, i'm starving and that's all i can think off, maybe i should just take him head on, i sighed a bit and stepped out and stopped hiding my chakra, Kakashi appeared not much later "And here i was thinking you'd lay a trap for me"he said.

"I would but i'm too hungry to think of anything that could work"i said "How about i sweeten the pot then?, if you get a bell from me i treat you to sushi"he said, i smirked "You're on Kakashi"i said drawing my sword and using chakra in my feet i disappeared from his view and appeared right infront of him with my sword swinging at his head.

~Third~

Kakashi's eyes widened as Umiko appeared infront of him, the sword coming at him from a blind spot, at the last second Kakashi blocked the blade with the metal plate on his glove, Umiko quickly let go and held his shoulder as her other hand drew back in a punch but Kakashi blocked it too, she then kicked but again she was blocked.

As Kakashi was distracted by holding off Umiko a clone of her snuck up and swiped a bell making sure it wouldn't ring as she did, the real Umiko jumped back once her clone was in the clear and threw a smokebomb before disappearing.

~Umiko~

I sighed in relief meeting up with my clone "Man that was intense"i muttered taking the bell from my clone and dismissing her, i put the bell in my back pouch and hid for the rest of the time watching as Sasuke tired and failed to do what i had done.

Soon after that the clock rang signaling time was up, i sighed again and walked over to the polls after helping Sasuke out of the ground, "Wow Naruto, i knew you were stupid but to be this stupid"i trailed off and shook my head "Shut up!"he yelled at me.

I snickered at him "Oh yeah, Kakashi heads up"i called and tossed the bell at him catching it he chuckled "Nice work Umiko but you didn't get the point of this test so i'll have to ask you to go back to the academy, as for you Naruto and Sasuke, you should quit being ninjas all together" Kakashi said.

Sasuke got angry and attacked Kakashi but the jounin easily pinned the Uchiha "What do you think the point of this test is? Why are you put into squads?"Kakashi asked, Naruto yelled frustrated not getting it, i rolled my eyes a bit and bluntly told him "Teamwork"

"That's right, it seems you got the point after all but still Umiko you didn't even bother trying to convince Sasuke and Naruto to work together with you, Naruto you do everything on your own everything and you Sasuke thought the others were so far bellow you they were worthless, arrogance, missions are carried out in squads of course you need individual skill but teamwork is the most essential element, every shinobi understands this, when individuals put themselves ahead of the squad it can lead to failure and death, for example"Kakashi trailed off and put a kunai to Sasuke's throat.

"Umiko kill Naruto now or Sasuke dies"Kakashi said, i smirked and flashed over to him holding my sword to his throat "How about you let Sasuke go or you die?"i asked a sickly sweet smile on my face, he chuckled a bit letting Sasuke go and i backed off "Something like that could happen and the resolution won't always be that simple, on every mission your life is on the line"Kakashi said and walked over to the KIA stone.

"The names engraved here are those of heroes"Kakashi said and trailed off in to silence as Naruto excitedly exclaimed he wanted his name on the stone "Idiot"I muttered and punched his face "Those are all ninja who were killed in action, did you ever study in the academy? Maybe you should go back"i said.

"Now now Umiko"Kakashi said and patted my head "Have some lunch, calm down and we'll try this again later but Naruto doesn't get any, a fitting punishment for trying to eat some earlier"he said before leaving, i grabbed one of the boxes and dug in ignoring Naruto's growling stomach until Sasuke offered him food just to stop the annoying sound.

I grinned watching as Sasuke fed Naruto against both their will cause i refused to share my meal, anyway Kakashi appeared again "YOU!!!"he yelled, i zoned out of it finishing my meal "Pass"he said as i zoned back in, "We start missions tomorrow, Umiko i believe i owe you some sushi"he said, i grinned "Awesome"i said and turned to Sasuke "How about it? You're welcome to come with"i said, he shrugged after thinking about it for a while, with that we headed to the sushi place.

"HEY YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME!!!!"Naruto yelled still tied to the post.
