Adam signed as his mom threw up again.

The pregnancy had been hard on his mom.

The divorce also didn't help their situation.

They had divorced when Katie Ruzek, Westley Ruzek, Aurora Ruzek, and Adam Ruzek were 3 years old because their dad Bob Ruzek had been caught cheating on their mom with another woman.

She then met Bucky Barnes, and they had started dating and got married in a year. They had kids, Samantha Barnes, Melanie Barnes, Audrey Barnes, Chris Barnes, and Robby Barnes, right after the honeymoon.

They are 15 years now old and very smart.

Adam said," I wish I could get buy more  medicine for your morning sickness mom, but we barely have enough money to buy groceries and pay bills. This is not the life you should have. I will become rich so I can get you more medicine to make you well again, mom.  I don't want to lose you, mom.

Sierra said," Adam, it doesn't matter to me. All I need is a great son in my life, and I do.

Adam said," Please let me do this, mom. I can't lose you. You're my mom, and I need you more than you will ever know, Mom.

Sierra said," Hey.... it's... ok.. Adam. I... love... you....my.... son. Remember..be...strong.

Sierra's water broke, and then Rose Barnes, Chelsea Barnes, Drew Barnes, and Raphael Barnes were born healthy, and after that, His mom Sierra's passed away.

With that, her eyes closed for good, and Adam started crying while he held her hand. He couldn't believe he had just lost his mom. She was the only one whom he cared about. She supported his dreams for years.

His step-dad came home along with his step-siblings Melanie Barnes, Audrey Barnes, Samantha Barnes, Chris Barnes, and Robby Barnes and  James Barnes, and saw Adam crying and saw Sierra unmoving.

Bucky softly asked," What happened, Adam?

Adam said," Mom passed away from her pregnancy. What are we supposed to do now?

Bucky said," I don't know, Adam. Get a job and pay for the funeral expenses. That's all we can do at the moment, unfortunately, Adam.

Adam said," Okay. I'm going to go on a walk.

Bob said," Alright, see you soon, Adam.

Adam went to his room, gathered up what money he had left over, which was a lot walked to the store, purchased a laptop, and is looking for a job. He saw Dolan Rhodes was hiring, and he filled out an application.

Adam made dinner for him and his dad.

Adam then heard back, and they accepted his application right away . He had an interview for tomorrow at 12 pm.

Adam went through his closet and selected a long-sleeved blue button-up shirt with nice khaki pants and a pair of black dress shoes.

He got a shower, dressed in PJ’S, brushed his teeth, and headed to bed for the night.

The next morning.

Adam made breakfast for himself and ate.

Adam then washed his dishes and headed upstairs to his bedroom to get ready for his interview at Dolan Rhodes. He was nervous.

He got dressed and used the last of his money to book an Uber to the store and back home. He hoped they hired him today.

He needs the money for business/economics classes, especially if he wants to own his own business someday. Which will be soon.

He got his references, resumes, and a list of  questions as well on his notebook finished.

He heads to the Uber and buckled up, and Uber takes him to the Dolan Rhodes store.

A girl with dark hair and brown eyes noticed him and said," Hi. I'm Izzy Lightwood. Connor Rhodes will be with you in just a moment.  have a seat and wait.

What Adam didn't know was that Izzy Lightwood was actually a shadowhunter undercover because there were reports of demons in the Dolan Rhodes store recently.

Adam nods and says," Thank you, Ma'am.

Adam sat down in the chair and waited patiently for his name to be called out.

Connor said," Adam Ruzek. I'm ready to interview you now.

Adam took a deep breath and walked inside.

Adam talked about his experience making jewelry and how he was good at making it.

Adam handed Connor his references and  resumes for him to look over, and Connor looked everything over, and he nodded at everything he was seeing.

Connor said," You're hired. You start now.

Adam said," Thank you, Mr. Rhodes. You won't ever regret giving me a chance.

Connor said," You're welcome. Let's get started working now. Here is your uniform.

Adam heads to the bathroom and gets changed into his uniform, and starts working right away, making jewelry.

Adam took college business/economics classes, and boy, they were brutal.
