Chapter VII - The Fight of Corruption (1 of 3)
Sudden Alliance
Kintrell sat in his room, watching the news. How did he feel as he was both African American and Native American? He felt disgusted, he felt like his race was losing more than just lives and their respect.
The man stood up and clenched his fists, sighing angrily.
"I'm guessing you see the news too?" John asked, standing beside his older brother.
"We might be in a world where nobody wants good people anymore.." Kintrell spoke with small hints of sadness, relating to the ban of heroes and the race war ongoing.
"What side are you on?"
"Black Lives Matter, doesn't it?" Kintrell asked as he started to walk out of his room, grabbing his watch and tightening it on his wrist.
"Where are you going?" John tilted his head to the conflicted hero.
"Two places. City hall and then to the protests."
"Can I come with you?" John walked by his brother, smiling.
"You're my most trusted ally. Of course, you can." Kintrell chuckled and started to walk towards the train station.
The two got in the train and looked around, seeing the people with signs, people were talking to each other about the racial situations and how they planned on helping, and there were these two.
One was a hacker and one was secretly a hero. A hero who could've stopped this if he was in more places at once.
Kintrell looked at the floor with a frown as a man walked over to the two.
"Yo, what do you plan on doing to him, pig?" An African American asked as Kintrell looked up to see a man stand in front of him.
The man held his hands up empty-handed. "I'm a cop, but I stand with your beliefs, but I wanna talk to this guy, that's all." He spoke with a deep voice as he turned back to Kintrell, nodding.
The man's hair was orange, had a 5'o clock shadow, and his eyes were brown. He was 5'10 wearing a brown jacket, white collared shirt, and tie. "I just wanna talk, Kintrell."
Kintrell slowly stood up and the two walked over to the end of the train so nobody would be able to hear.
"One of your friends told me to contact you as you had a hold on The Knight. Am I correct?" The officer took out a cigarette and ignited it, as he started to smoke it.
"Sure, I can contact him. Why though?"
"As much as I respect the people, I also respect my officers, well the good ones of course, and I can't have them accidentally kill anyone or get killed, cause then I'm fucked."
"So you want The Knight to be neutral sided?"
"Precisely."
"I can't do that, man. The Knight fights for the people. Right now, he's gonna side with the people."
The officer nodded, sighing defeated. "Understandable. Well, tell him that I'll be contacting him a lot more during crimes. We gotta work together." He says as the train stops, giving him the chance to leave.
"Hold on, who are you?" Kintrell chased after him, standing by the door.
"Bigby. Now, you may wanna contact him after you get done with your mayor business."
"How did you-"
"Can't fool these ears."
The train doors close as he sits beside his brother again, the two listening to music, trying to focus on the task at hand.
