The Halstead house

Jay woke up to crying and immediately ran to Will's room and turned on the lights, and what he saw made his heart break. Will was tossing and turning in his sleep, and he had tears streaming down his eyes. He shook Will, and Will woke up and hugged His Daddy, and they cuddled for a long time.

Then there was a knock on the door, and Jay went to answer the door with Will still in his arms and opened the door to reveal his best friend Antonio Dawson, and he had a bag of Breakfast in his arms and he led Antonio inside the house and closed the door and carried Will to the kitchen to eat.

Antonio served Jay and Will their breakfast, and then he got his own breakfast, and they started eating breakfast in silence.

Once they finished breakfast, Antonio got Will dressed in dark blue shorts and a red shirt with Black socks and dark blue tennis shoes, and they headed to the living room.

Antonio noticed Will was tired, and he looked at Jay for explanation, and Jay mouthed," He had a nightmare earlier, so he's still a little bit more tired than normal.

Antonio nodded and quietly said," We have a case today, and we can't leave Will alone. So what should we do, Jay? We have to go.

Jay growled in annoyance and packed a bag for Will and picked up Will and carried him to the car, and Antonio drove to the station.

They arrive at the police station and head upstairs to where Sergeant Voight is waiting for them, and Will is starting to wake up.

When they get upstairs to Intelligence, Will is wide awake and sees several people he doesn't know and clings onto his daddy, making everyone in the Intelligence unit AWWW at Will and he shyly smiled at them.

Will wasn't the only child there in Intelligence, Sarah Resse, Noah Sexton, and Natalie Conte were there as well, and they were being Held by their respective parents.

Kim walked over to Jay and Antonio and gently said," Hi there. My name is Kim Burgess. What's your name, little guy?

Will answered," My name is Will Halstead.

Jay asked," Would you like to hold him, Kim.

Kim said," Of course I would love to hold him.

Jay handed Will to Kim, and he started to struggle once he noticed that he wasn't in Jay's arms and reached out for His Daddy.

Antonio shook his head at Jay and led him away from Will into Hank's office, making poor Will Halstead upset and crying, and Kim is trying to comfort him and distract him with something to do and then she introduces herself to the other kids.

She walked over to Natalie and knelt down to her height and gently said," Hi, my name is Kim Burgess. What's your name? It's nice to meet you.

Natalie shyly said," My name is Natalie Conte, and it's nice to meet you too, Ms. Burgess. Can I please draw Ms. Burgess?

Kim said," Of course you can draw. Why don't you take Will with you so he won't feel lonely? And you can cheer him up.

Natalie said," Okay. Hi there. I'm Natalie Conte, and I was wondering if you would like to draw with me and be my best friend?

Will said," Of course I would love to draw with you, and I would love to be your best friend.

Natalie led Will to the table where there were drawing supplies, and they began to draw and were having fun together.

Noah Sexton and Sarah Resse joined them a few minutes later, and the four kids were talking about what hobbies they like to do.

Kim was reading a book when she pulled out her phone to look at the time and noticed that it was 12:00 pm and went to get lunch ready for them so they could eat and then take a nap before she noticed Natalie was crying and walked over to her and sat in the chair next to her and asked," What's wrong Natalie? Are you hungry or tired?

Natalie said," I miss my daddy. Where is he?

Kim said," He's at work, and he misses you too, Natalie. Try to eat some lunch for him.

Natalie said," Yes, Ma'am.

Kim served her a plate of a sandwich and some chips and walked over to Sarah Resse, who looked sad just like Natalie did. Kim said," You ok?

Sarah said," No, I miss my daddy. Where is he? I don't want him to leave me all alone.

Kim said," He misses you too, Sarah, and he's at work. Try to eat some lunch for him.

Sarah said," Yes ma'am.

Kim served her a plate of a sandwich and some chips and walked over to Noah Sexton, who looked asleep, and She woke Noah up.

Noah said," Where is my mommy? I want to see her. I miss my mommy.

Kim said," She's at work, and she misses you too. Try to eat some lunch for her, okay.

Noah said l," Yes ma'am.

Kim served him a plate of a sandwich and some chips and walked over to Will Halstead, who was hugging his teddy bear.

Kim said l," Hey, Willy, how are you?

Will said," I'm okay. I just miss my daddy.

Kim said," I know. He misses you too, Will. Try to eat some lunch for him.

Will said," Yes ma'am.

Kim served him a plate of a sandwich and some chips, and all of the kids ate their lunch before they headed to naptime.

7 hours later.

Connor Rhodes came back to the district tosee Sarah asleep, and he picked up Sarah into his arms, Robin buckled her into her car seat, and Connor drove them home, and put Sarah in their room so that way she didn't wake up alone and they headed to bed.

Ethan Choi and April were the next to pick up Their kids from the district and put them in their car seats, take them home, put them to bed in their individual rooms, and make sure to leave to their doors open so that way if they had a nightmare, they could comfort them and help them go back to sleep.

Jay was the last one to come to the district, and he picked up Will, and he drove Will home and put him to bed and headed to bed himself but made sure to leave Will's door open so that If he had a nightmare, he could comfort him and help him go back to sleep.
