2 weeks later 

" Take a right here." Richard said as Grace drove over to the Firehouse. 

Grace wasn't sure why they were going there, but she knew her Grandpa wanted them to be there for a reason. Once Grace pulled up to Firehouse 51 the place looked familiar, but she doesn't remember. 

" Grandpa, what are we doing here?" 

" We are here to visit an old friend." Richard said as they both got out of the car and headed inside where they heard voices in the common room. 

" Hi, can I help you?" Casey said as he came forward to them. 

" Yes, I'm looking for Chief Boden." Richard said. 

" Well, as I live and breathe. Richard Castle, It's good to see you." 

" Wallace, good to see you. I'm sure you remember Grace." 

"Of course. Wow, you sure have grown." 

" Wait, I've been here before?" 

" You were just a kid, but yes this was the place you wanted to be a part of the fire department." 

"Are you still interested in becoming part of the department?" Boden asked Grace. 

" Yes, and I'm actually going to apply in a couple of weeks. Grandpa and I are just now getting settled into our new house." 

"  That's good to know. Let me introduce you to everyone." 

The three went over to the common room to see everyone enjoying themselves. 

" Everyone we have special visitors today and are family. This is Richard Castle and his granddaughter Grace." Boden says to everyone as he gets their attention. 

" Wait as in Richard Castle of Castle Corp.?" Cruz asked as he was curious. 

" The one and only."  Richard said politely. 

Everyone is shocked to hear this news but welcomes Richard and Grace like family. 

" You've met Casey, this Mouch, Cruz, Brett, Ottis, Capp, Herrmann, Mills, Dawson, where's Severide?" Boden said as he looked around the room. 

" I think he's in his office. I'll go get him." Casey said as he walked over to the living quarters. 

"It's nice to meet you all." Grace came over and said hi to everyone. 

" It's nice to meet you too." Gabby came over to Grace. 

" Gabby Dawson just became a firefighter after becoming a paramedic, you can learn great things from her Grace." Boden came over to the girls. 

" You want to become a paramedic?" Gabby asked Grace. 

" As a start, I might also want to be a firefighter as well. I'm going to apply for the academy in a couple of weeks." 

" If you need any help, Brett, MIlls and I can help you out." 

" That would be great." Grace said as she already felt lucky to be in this firehouse. 

" Hey, who owns that sweet Roadster?" A strong voice said as Grace turned around to see the most gorgeous blue eyes she had ever seen. 

" That would be me." Grace looked at Severide as she felt a spark in her heart that she never felt before. 

" Wow. That's amazing. Kelly Severide." Kelly held out his hand as Grace shook it. 

" Grace Castle." 

Richard could see the spark between the two and knew the same one he felt a long time ago.  

" Oh, this is my grandpa." 

" Richard Castle." 

" Mr. Castle is a pleasure to you." 

" Likewise." 

Soon the alarm goes off everyone in the common room hurried over to the trucks as well as Chief Boden. Grace watched everyone head over to their stations especially Kelly since there was something about him that she needed to know.

" We'll talk later Richard." 

" We'll be here Wallace." 

As everyone leaves the station Grace watches the trucks pull out as she wonders what was going on site. 

" I saw that." 

" What?" Grace looks back at her grandpa. 

" The way you looked at him." Richard smirked as he could see Grace blushing. 

" Grandpa, I just met him." Grace walks away to the kitchen as she tries to hide her feelings.

" Mmm hmm, just like how I met your grandmother." 

" Really? You think I have a shot?" Grace asked curiously since she never felt this way before. 

"Oh, of course besides I know the right man when I see it. Now since everyone is out on the job, let's make'em some dinner." 

" Sounds good to me." 

Grace puts her hair up in a bun and starts cooking dinner.
