The Blame Is On You
"How could ye even allow somethin' like this ta happen!?"
Laura shouted as she paced around the clubhouse. The whole crew was there sitting somewhere Within the clubhouse listening and watching as [Name]'s mother Laura O'Shay shuffled around.
"Look! When I hired her on to work on the cars do you honestly believe that the first thing I would think of is "Oh a Van's going to blow up and take out one of my guys and my niece let's put her in the mechanic shop so that can happen!" I'm just as pissed off about it happening as you are!"
Clay said raising his voice as well. Laura walked over in front of Clay and pointed an accusing finger toward him. Her glare was harsh, as was Clay's because tensions were high right now.
"Don't ye' take tha' tone wit' me Clay! Pissin' off a white hate group tha' has a violent history didn't raise any red flags wit' you!"
"She's not part of the club so we thought she would be safe! How the hell was I supposed to know that they would do something like this?"
"I dunno, but perhaps ye'd like ta explain ta Galen why his neice is in the hospital on yer watch!?"
"Look, we don't need to being Galen into this."
Jax said speaking up as he came out from behind the bar which he was leaning against. Laura turned to him and sent her glare his way as she brought her hands down to her side and slowly walked toward the boy.
"Galen helped me raise her when Timothy left back ta the states with JT! He's as much of her Da as he is her uncle!"
"And look I get that... but bringing in Galen will only cause bad blood that we don't need right now."
Jax tried his best to explain to the Raging woman in front of him. He was right though the last thing that they needed was Galen at their doorstep. They all knew how protective Galen was over the young woman, so much so that he had a man at her side protecting her up until she was 10 and left for the states back to Charming to be with her father.
"I should have never let her come back. If she would have stayed in Belfast she would have been safe. But no she wanted to come back to this life to be with her Da and yer family, Jackson!"
The rest of the guys listen to the shouting back-and-forth from the angry Woman and their President and Vice President.
Not many of them had met Laura, but they all heard the stories about her and her brother Galen and how they determined [Name]'s type of life with a controlling iron fist.
And now that she was here, they could see that the woman was controlling and even more mad than a wet hen. Clay knew better than anyone else the type of hate that both the O'Shay's had for Chibs and knew they would blame the Club.
Needless to say they were now seeing that the stories about her were true.
"Yer friendship wit' my brother goes back a long way Clay. Why do ya think I married Timothy in the first place? If it hasn't been for you, I would have never met yer brother!"
Clay sighed, knowing that what she said was right. Even though she could be an annoying woman at times, she never said anything without reason.
She was just a typical woman and tended to drag out the conversation much longer than what it needed to go on for.
"I get it. You blame me. You blame me because I couldn't protect her. You blame me because of her leaving Blefast. You blame me because of her wanting to come here. But you're forgetting that you chased her off! You're the one that was so hell bent on keeping her out of this life that you pushed her into it!"
A quick hand came in contact with Clay's cheek. He turned his head slowly to look at Lara who had just smack him clean across the jaw, more than likely going to leave a handprint in it's wake.
Clay groaned deeply and low. The white-hot pain seared through his cheek as he looked at the woman who was red in the face from the truth that he spewed. Behind her the whole club looks shocked as to the actions that she took.
Even Jax was surprised that she had smacked him. The whole club waited for clay to retaliate, but it never came. He wasn't stupid, he knew better than to hit Laura Kama it wasn't as if she was just some Crow eater or something along those lines.
No, she was the sister to Galen O'Shay one of the kings of the real IRA.
He knew that if he even laid a hand on her shit would go down for the club. And they could not handle the IRA at their doorstep with the white hate group standing there as well.
Suddenly Jax's cell phone wrong in his pocket and he picked it up turning away from the two.
"Yeah? Hey. What? When? Yeah no she's here... Okay. Well, it's a little late, but I'll let them know. Yeah, alright bye."
Jax hung up the phone and turned back to face his family.
"That was Tara, she said that [Name] is awake and she's talking."
Jax said catching everyone's attention, including Laura's.
"She also wanted me to relay a message to her mom that she told Tara."
"What is it? What did she say?"
Laura asked stepping forward and looking at Jax wide-eyed. Jax sighed and shook his head as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"[Name] wanted me to tell you cannot act batshit crazy with the club. That it wasn't their fault that the explosion happened, and you need to stay as calm as possible. Although I hate to say that's a little late for the message but better late than never I guess."
Jax finished with a shrug of his shoulders watching as Laura's jaw set with an angered expression.
"I'm going now," Laura said turning back to look at Clay. "But don't think you're yer off the hook."
Clay gave a shrug of his shoulders knowing that this wouldn't be the last time they spoke to one another.
After Laura left Bobby could only shake his head as he looked up from his seat at one of the tables in the middle of the room over to Clay.
"Shits getting more fucked up brother."
Clay scoffed as he shook his head.
"No shit."
