"What do you mean they're all in jail!?"
[Name] shouted, furious that Gemma had kept her out of the loop. But upon her return back to the TM she had learned the truth. Gemma sighed as she carried around Able in her arms, bouncing him up and down.
"They got caught going after Zobelle. It was a set up at some church or something. Got caught with guns."
[Name] shook her head as she paced back and forth. No wonder everybody stopped coming to see her after she had awoken in the hospital, they were all behind bars.
"How did this happen?"
"Retaliation for what happened to you and Chibs."
[Name] stopped her pacing and looked at Gemma wide-eyed. Had she just heard her right? Had she just heard that the guys were in jail because of what happened to her and Chibs?
"Well, and Otto too. Some asshole in the white hate group in jail took out his good eye."
Gemma added. [Name] slowly slid down onto one of the bar stools in the club. She shook her head and placed it in her hands, sighing deeply as she took in all the information.
She was worried she wouldn't have a job to come back to when she got out of the hospital, but she never expected to come back to all this shit that happened while she was knocked out cold and laid up.
"And Opei was the only one that wasn't caught?"
She asked, only to have Gemma nod her head. This was completely crazy. She had taken her uncle for a smarter man than what he was -- but he had walked right into a trap, something that she herself could have told him if she had been here to voice her opinion.
She may not have been part of the club, but she knew that he would have at least taken her thoughts into consideration had she known about what was going down.
"Don't blame yourself for what happened, baby. You've got enough troubles on your mind as is it."
Gemma spoke up as she placed down a sleep Able into his stroller. [Name] shook her head and sighed deeply, running her fingers through her hair as she leaned back against the bar.
"I can't believe this has happened. What the hell is going on aunt Gemma?"
Gemma shook her head as she walked over to her niece's side and rubbed her shoulder slowly, causing her to look up at the older woman.
"I don't know baby, but nothing is your fault. It's Zobelle who is out for blood. This would have played out like it has either way, regardless of what happened to you and Chibs."
"How can you be so sure?"
[Name] asked, so tired of seeing her family and friends getting hurt. Gemma paused for a moment as if trying to gather her words and then she sighed deeply.
"I just know, baby. I just know."
Gemma said while giving a soft kiss on the top of her head and holding her with one arm around her shoulder. [Name] didn't push it further, figuring that it was a "motherly intuition" type of deal that Gemma had since she was normally head mother around here for the guys.
After a couple of days, the boys were out of jail. She had learned ealier in the week that Juice had been attacked and was put in the hospital.
She worried so much about the rest of the guys after hearing that news.
But apparently a friend of the family posted their bond for them is what she got from Gemma. [Name] was extremely happy to see them all return back to the TM when they arrived.
She was outside waiting and when they pulled up, [Name] couldn't help but smile and rush up to the car from the open door of the TM garage. She had been working on a car, since she still had yet to be told she couldn't work in the garage anymore and threw her arms out as wide as she could when she seen Clay walking around the side of the car.
"Uncle Clay!!"
He smiled her way as he opened his arms up and accepted her hug. She laughed for a moment before pulling away and noticing his face, she gasped.
"What happened to you?"
She looked at his bruised up face as it looked like he got into a fight with someone or something. Clay only gave a slight smirk as he held her in his arms while looking down at her -- that toothy grin shown greatly.
"I figured I couldn't let you be the only one with a busted up face walking around here. Can't let you have all the attention now can I?"
Clay joked, speaking about the road rash that was still clear on her face and more than likely going to leave a scar once it was fully healed. She chuckled to herself as he let her go and allowed her to greet the other guys, giving them all hugs and saying just how happy she was to see them.
"Miss me, sweetheart?"
Tig asked in a joking yet rather serious tone. [Name] only smiled and pulled away from him after the hug, but he kept his hands on her hips for a moment till she slapped him on the chest, causing him to lose his hold on her.
"Miss you? Ha! I was able to finally have some quiet while you were gone. Didn't have to fight off anybody on my towing -- it was nice while you were gone."
Tig gave her a pouting look, acting as if he was hurt by her comment. He reached out to her sides again as she slipped away just in time from being trapped again.
"Ah come on! You know you missed me! Even if it was just a little!"
Tig said, trying to close in on her only to have her continue to walk away from him with her back to him. Bobby chuckled as he watched the two of them play around and shook his head.
"You shouldn't chase something you can't have, Tig."
Bobby joked as he walked past the now stopped Tig, who was grinning from ear to ear watching as [Name] ran back to catch up to Clay's side.
Tig took a moment in the parking lot alone as he watched the girl's retreating form and Bobby's words sank into the back of his head. A frown replaced that once smile to his lips as he thought about it over and over again.
"Don't chase what you can't have, Tig."
He repeated to himself in his head as he gave a sigh and scratched behind his ear. He knew none of the guys were serious, they thought he was just playing around with her because he was the Sargent to Clay and she was Clay's niece -- and the fact that he loved "kids", which she was young enough to be his kid.
He kicked himself mentally, knowing that his thoughts were dirty and he shouldn't think that way about her. But he couldn't help but find himself thinking more and more about her when he was trying to keep himself from doing so.
He was at a crossroads and there were only so many ways he was allowed to go. All of them being none of the roads he wanted to take.
