The next morning Clove woke up breathing heavy and at different speed. She stood quickly and jumped back when she saw herself in the mirror, her eyelids where purple and her skin was a weird color.

"Mom! Dad!" she called out while running through the house

"Clove! What's wrong?" they asked as she finally stood infront of them

"Oh my god, what happened?" Levan asked while rushing to her

"I don't know, I couldn't breath right and this just happened" Clove said as she began to panic

"It's okay, it's okay" Levan tried to comfort her

"Levan..." Stella trialed off as she looked into the direction of her daughters arm

"What?" he asked while him and Clove looked down at her arm to see it moving in a weird way

"Is something in there? Can you feel something?" he asked as Clove nodded

"What do we do? Do we take her to a doctor?" Stella asked in a panic as Clove sat down

"Yeah we already tried that Stella" Levan said as he sighed. Clove began to breath uneven and her body began to sweat

"Clove? Can you hear us?" Stella asked her as her voice only came out as a echo to her

"Hey, Clove" Levan said as she snapped her back

"The purple is going away, how are you feeling?" he asked as Clove took a deep breath

"I think I need a walk" she said as she slowly stood up

"Are you sure honey? I think you need to lay down" Stella said as Clove shook her head

"No, no I need to go on a walk" she said while quickly walking out the house. She walked through streets of Hawkins taking deep breaths to control her breathing. That was until she came across Starcourt and saw five familiar figures

"What the hell!" she shouted getting their attention

"Clove, what are you doing here?" Max asked her with a blink

"Clearly not hanging out with my friends, why didn't you guys call me? So what you all just wanna hang out without me now?" she asked defensively

"No! No that's not it! We all just ran into each other on a accident, El and I were hanging out and then we busted the boys for lying" Max said as Clove rolled her eyes

"Do you honestly expect me to believe that? If you didn't want me around, you could have just said so" she said

"Clove no, no it's not that" Mike shook his head at her

"No please don't let me be a downer on your day" Clove rolled her eyes as she walked off

"Clove" El tried but it was no use, Clove was already walking away

"Short walk huh?" Stella asked as Clove walked back into the house

"Guess so" Clove shrugged as she looked to her Mom as she gapped

"Oh no, Clove you're turning purple again" she said as she reached for Clove but was stopped by the girl grabbing her wrist

"You need to cut it out" Clove said as she breathed heavy

"Cut it out? Cut what out?" Stella asked confused

"The thing inside me, cut it out" Clove demanded as her eyes widened

"Clove this isn't a good idea, it's dangerous and it could end badly" Stella said as Clove looked over at her

"Then we better make it quick" Clove said as she squeezed her eyes shut while her Mom barely gazed her with the kitchen knife

"Mom, you barely cut me" Clove scolded her

"What if I can't get it? You'll die" Stella said as her eyes watered. Clove sighed and thought for a moment

"Then we need to call someone who can for sure get it" Clove said as Stella frowned her eyebrows

"Eleven" she said as Stella nodded and rushed to the phone

"Clove, oh my god what happened" Max asked as she ran into the kitchen a few minutes later with El behind her

"There's something in there, it has to come out. It's hurting me" Clove said as she looked down at her arm

"I can do it" El spoke as Clove nodded

"Yeah, that's why I called" Clove rolled her eyes while yanking her arm away from Max

"We're sorry, brought you egos" El spoke as she held out a box of Egos while Clove couldn't hold back her laugh as she hugged the two girls

"It's okay, i'm just stressed out right now and I shouldn't have taken it out on you guys" Clove said as she hugged the two

"Dumped Mikes ass" El said as the pulled back

"What?" Clove asked with wide eyes

"It was totally awesome" Max laughed as Clove smiled before gripping her arm in pain

"Okay, Clove it's gonna be quick okay? Just know i'm really sorry" Levan said as Clove nodded as she shut her eyes while he had cut her arm open, deep enough the see something move around. Clove let out a yell as she hid her face into Max's shoulder

"Keep her still" El said as Stella grabbed her daughters body as El used her powers to try and get the slug like thing out of Clove's arm. The girl yelled again as Max tried to calm her down

"Get it Eleven!" Levan shouted at the girl

"Trying!" she yelled while pulling her hands upwards causing Clove to let out another yell as El slammed the large slug thing on the table once she got it out of Cloves arm

"Trap it!" Stella said as Levan quickly slammed a open mason jar onto the thing as Stella began to sew up her daughter, who was slummed and clearly overly tired

"It's okay Clove, we got it. We got it" Max conformed her whole kissing her forehead as El ran to sit behind Clove as she hugged her tightly

"You guys don't have to stay, I didn't mean to ruin your sleep over" Clove said from where she sat on the bed with the two girls half a hour later

"We don't wanna leave you" El shook her head

"Besides, our sleepover was shit without you there" Max said as Clove couldn't help but smile

"Mrs.Wheeler, boring" Max said as they spun the bottle to see who El should spy on

"Yeah boring" El agreed while Clove couldn't help but laugh

"Spin again" she encouraged the girl

"Against the rules?" El asked her with frowned eyebrows

"Screw the rules" Clove said

"Yeah, we make our own rules" Max nodded as El grinned and spun the bottle once again as it landed on Billy

"Okay look I should just warn you if he's with a girl or doing something gross just get out of there right away before you're scared for life" Max shook her head as she stood up and walked around Clove's room

"Max" El said to her

"I'm just saying, he's really gross" Max said

"Max, sit down and take a breath" Clove laughed as Max sighed and sat next to her while she wrapped her arm around her

"Together?" El asked as she look at Clove and Max

"Yeah, together" Max smiled as El looked to Clove with a nod before she put the blind fold ever her eyes as the radio went static

"I found him" El said after a couple seconds

"What's he doing?" Max asked her

"I don't know" El answered as Clove frowned her eyebrows

"He's on the floor, talking to someone" El said before she gasped and yanked the blindfold off

"El, what happened?" Clove asked as she grabbed her hand as El just continued to breath heavy

this chapter wasn't very good but it kinda cleared up what was going on with Clove and is kinda foreshadowing stuff that will happen throughout the series
