"So what, we're just not gonna talk about it huh?" Hopper asked El as the four drove down the road

"About what?" El asked in a very annoyed tone

"Oh I don't know, i'm just curious at to why you all of a sudden look like some kind of MBV punk" Hopper said causing Clove to hold back her laugh as did Levan

"I'm not mad kid, I just wanna know where you've been" Hopper said to her now considering she was silent

"To see Mama" El stated causing Clove to look at her through the mirror

"Okay, how'd you get there?" Hopper asked her

"A truck" El stated

"A truck?" Hopper asked her

"A big truck" El said as Clove and Levan shared a look

"A big truck? Who's truck was it?" Hopper asked

"A mans" El said as Cloves eyes widened

"A man? El! You can't just get in a car with a man, he could have hurt you! Strangers can hurt people" Clove said in distress as Levan put a hand over her mouth

"Not our place" he whispered to her

"You're little Clover back there is right. So let me get this straight in my head, a man in a big truck drove you to your Mamas then then what? That man gave you those clothes and that makeup?" Hopper asked her staying much calmer than Clove did

"I shouldn't have left" El stated while looking down

"No, no this isn't on you kid. I should have been there, I should have never lied to you about your Mom and when you could leave. A lot of things I shouldn't have done, sometimes I feel like i'm just some type of black hole or something" Hopper sighed as Clove frowned at his statement

"Black hole?" El asked in confusion causing Levan to grin

"Yeah it's this thing in outer space it sucks everything toward it and destroys it" Hopper said while Clove leaned into her Dads shoulder

"Sarah has a picture book about outer space, she loved it" Hopper said, Clove heard stories about what happened to little Sarah. It made her sad and guilty for how she yelled at Hopper earlier

"Who's Sarah?" El asked

"Sarah's my girl, she's my little girl" Hopper said as Levan tightened his grip around Clove and squeezed his eyes

"Where is she?" El asked

"Well that's kinda the thing kid, she ugh, she left us" Hopper said as he kept his glossy eyes on the road

"Gone?" El asked

"Yeah, the black hole. It got her" Hopper said as his voice cracked slightly

"And somehow, i've just been scared you know? I've just been scared that it would take you too" Hopper said to El

"That's why I get so mad, i'm so sorry for everything. I can be so, so-" Hopper began before El cut him off

"Stupid" she said causing the three in the car to chuckle

"Yeah, stupid. Just really stupid" Hopper laughed

"I've been stupid too" El said suddenly

"I guess we broke our rule. I don't hate it by the way, this whole look. It's kinda cool" Hopper said as he guesteres to El's eye makeup

"Bitchin" she stated as Clove grinned from the back

"Okay, sure, bitchin" Hopper smiled

"Hey Hop" Clove said from the back

"What's up kid?" he asked

"I'm sorry for calling you a son of a bitch, I didn't mean it. Promise" Clove said as he chuckled at her

"It's alright, partly my fault. Shouldn't have kept her from you, I knew you were hurting and I didn't care. I'm sorry" he said as Clove sent him a smile through the window

"So, do you guys maybe wanna stop for food after this?" Levan asked causing the four to laugh

When they arrived at the lab Clove saw El looking at the lab in horror

"Hey, are you sure this is okay? We can try to find a different way" Clove asked as El looked down at her

"Hand" El said suddenly causing Clove to frown her eyebrows

"Hand?" she questioned

"You say hand makes you feel safer, I want to feel safe" El said as she reached her hand over to brush against Cloves causing the girl to quickly wrap her hands around El's

"I'll keep you safe" Clove said as El laughed slightly

"Me too" She said as Hopper handed a gun to Levan as he looked toward Clove with a fangirl grin

"Let us do the heavy lifting up front, stay with Clove and save your strength till we're down below" Hopper said as he looked down to El

"You okay?" he asked her when she feel silent but the girl with powers simple tightened her grip around Cloves hand and pulled her to walk with her

"This place reeks" Levan said as the four walked down the hallways of the lab

"Stay here" Hopper said to the three as they saw blood on the stair case

"Don't talk" they heard Hopper say, causing the three to walk down to see Hopper wrapping his belt around a doctors leg who gave a crazy look when he saw El

"Oh yeah, i've been meaning to tell you. This is Eleven. Eleven Dr.Owens, Dr.Owens Eleven" Hopper introduced the two

"And i'm Clove" Clove said as Hopper looked back at her

"Sorry, i'll shut up" she shook her head while holding her hands up

"She's been staying with me for about a year and she's about to save our asses. Maybe when this is all said and done maybe you can help her out too you know? Maybe you can help her be in a normal life, one where she's not poked and proted and treated like some sort of lab rat you know? I don't know, just a thought" Hopper said as he tightened the belt on the doctor, causing him to groan

"Think about it" Hopper smiled at the man as El and Clove shared a look

"Don't go anywhere" Levan joked as they began to walk off

"Too soon Dad" Clove said as the man laughed

"Stay here" Hopper said as him and Levan walked toward the double doors as they heard the familiar sound of the Demodogs. A few minutes later Clove and El walked toward them as they looked through the shattered window in the lab

"Chief do you copy?" a voice came in on Hoppers intercom

"Yeah we copy" Hopper said

"Close it" Jonathan said as El and Clove shared a look as they heard his voice through the speaker

"If this is the gates of hell i'd hate to be a sinner" Clove said as the four of them road down on a meddle cart that lead them infront of the large red gate that looked like gew and lava

El let go of Cloves hand as she used her powers to cause a light to glow on the other side of the gate as a large shadow appeared, causing Levan to pull his daughter closer to him. El's hand began to shake as the open walls began to close around the firy red part. Clove felt a sharp pain in her arm causing her to let out a scream while Hopper hurried and shot the demodog that bit her

"Clove? Clove are you okay?" Her Dad asked while El looked back at her worried

"Close it El! Hurry!" Clove shouted over the loud noise as she held her bleeding arm

"They're everywhere" Levan yelled as him and Hopper began shooting at all the dogs that were crawling along the walls. A dark shadow began to move toward them as Cloves eyes widened and she looked down to hid her eyes before El let it a loud yell as she used both hands to push the shadow away from them while she began to levitate. Clove held her arm in pain as she looked up at the taller girl in awh

El got the gate to close as she feel back down as Clove caught her and quickly wrapped her in a hug, "You did good El, you did it. You saved us, again"

El sniffled as did Clove while holding each other close as Hopper and Levan caught their breath and watched the two. Anyone who look at El and Clove knew they needed each other, that they would never leave each other ever again. Clove let out a groan as they pulled away, looking at her arm. It had blood all over and it was turning a weird color

"Let's get you two Warriors out of here" Levan said as he pushed the button to pull them up

"Keep pressure on it Clove, just hang in there" Hopper said to the girl who held her hand to the wound and leaned into El

One Month later

Clove was sitting in the living room in her green dress and gold heels. Her scar on her arm was covered by the sleeves but that didn't stop her from keeping a hand on it. The girl looked at her sparkly shoes until her Mom walk over

"Clove? What are you still doing home? I thought you left with Steve thirty minutes ago" Stella said as she walked toward her, Levan not to far behind

"I'm not going" Clove stated as her parents shared a look

"Why not sweetie?" Levan asked while looking at her

"Because i'm gay" Clove said quickly while she looked at her shoes, Levan and Stella shared a small grin

"Why's that gonna stop you from going to the dance though?" Stella asked as Clove looked up to meet her eye, gold eyeshadow on display

"Because I don't want to have to see El dancing with Mike" Clove answered honestly

"El? I had my money on Max" Stella said as Levan shrugged

"I was stuck in the middle" he stated while Clove gave them a crazy look

"We're sorry" Stella said with a smile while slipping Levan a ten dollar bill as Clove couldn't help but laugh

"I do like Max" Clove admitted, "Like, a lot where my entire heart thumps"

"So don't you wanna go for her? You like her, seems like she likes you" Levan said as Clove sighed

"No, no she doesn't. Not like that, she's probably gonna be with Lucas or Dustin" Clove shook her head, "And it's not that i like El, it's been a while and i got over it. But she was, you know, how I figured out I liked girls so it's just hard to pretend i never liked her that way"

"Well, you'll never know if you just sit with Buttercup the whole night" Stella said as she looked at the dog rested next to her daughter

"Why don't I drive you, i'll stay in the parking lot for ten minutes if you change your mind and want to come home" Levan offered as Clove sighed and stood quickly

"Alright, remember what we talk about okay? Be confident, be proud, and don't let anything ruin any of that for you. And if you see El and Mike, I know it'll be hard but remember the other person in your heart and your mind" Levan said as he poked Cloves forehead causing her to laugh, "That you so like"

"Love you Dad" Clove said as she got out the car

"Love you too, and hey don't drink any of the punch" he said as Clove jokingly rolled her eyes and walking into the gym. She caught sight of El and Mike share a kiss as she sighed but nodded her head, coming to accept that El and Mike where together and there was truly nothing she could do to change that

"Hey" she heard a familiar voice behind her causing the girl to turn and see Max standing there

"Cute sweater" Clove smiled seeing Max's festive sweater paired with a pair of dress pants

"Cute dress" Max said back at Clove smiled

"I got worried when you didn't show, wanna dance?" Max asked as Clove flushed and took her hand

"I'm sorry I took so long, had some stuff I had to figure out" Clove nodded as she put her arms around Max neck

"And did you figure it out?" the redhead asked while Clove hesitated for a moment before she nodded

"Yeah, yeah I think I did" Clove grinned as Max did too

"Clove, I know you've been caught up on El for like the past year and I don't wanna rush you into anything but I like you. I like everything about you and i'll wait for however long until you're ready to luke someone else" Max said as Clove stared at her with a soft smile

"Max" she said as the girl stared at her with wide eyes

"Yeah?" she asked as Clove smiled

"I like you too" she stated as Max's eyes lit up

"You remind me of the Cherry Wine my Mother use to let me drink on special occasions" Clove said as she stared into the girls eyes

"Why? Because of my hair?" she asked with frowned eyebrows

"No, because I know deep down I shouldn't want it but I do anyway... more than anything" Clove said as Max's face lit up while the two girls gazed at each other with flushed faces and dilated pupils, ignoring and not caring about the people who gave them odd looks from around them

ahhh I cant believe its the end of season two! this was my favorite season and i'm literally in love with Clove I cant wait to start season three very soon (tonight or tomorrow) with more of Max and Clove and ofc Clove and El. Also sorry I didn't give them a kiss! I kinda wanted to touch on the fact that Max said she'd wait for Clove and that's exactly what she's doing which leads into season three:) THANK YOU FOR ALL THE READS
