taehyung woke up at 11:30, the smell of bacon tickling his nose and pulling him out of bed. he noticed the absence of jeongguk next to him, waved it off.

he slowly sat up, stretching his limbs with a short sigh and a small crack. he opened his eyes which had naturally closed in the process, and caught the gaze of jeongguk who was leaning against the doorframe.

"good morning sleepyhead." jeongguk snickered, and taehyung yawned in response. "g'morning." he reached his arms above his head to stretch once again, jeongguk cooing at the sight.

"you're so fucking adorable." jeongguk commented, moving over to where taehyung was sitting. he placed his arms comfortably on taehyung's sides, and then suddenly picked him up, throwing the boy over his shoulders.

"hey, it's too early for this!" taehyung yelped, lightly hitting jeongguk's back to try and get him to put him down. "i know, but-" he trailed off, corners of his lips twitching into a smile as he entered the kitchen.

"i made bacon!" he giggled when taehyung gasped happily, and set him gently down on the ground. "gguk, you really didn't have to!" taehyung said excitedly while giving the bacon major heart eyes.

"well you didn't have any cereal, so-" jeongguk pushed taehyung towards the bacon, taehyung complying happily. jeongguk sat down at the table, waiting for taehyung to grab his bacon and join him.

taehyung sat next to him, using an idle hand to curl around jeongguk's own and the other to eat the bacon eagerly. "how did you even know where to find the stuff to make it?" taehyung asked with his mouth full, and jeongguk shrugged. "dunno, i figured it out."

taehyung continued to stuff his face with jeongguk's hand in his own, but then paused. "wait, do you want any? i'm being so rude!" taehyung exclaimed, taking a piece and offering it up to jeongguk.

jeongguk shook his head, turning it down. "no thanks, i don't like bacon." he said, fiddling with taehyung's fingers while he waited for him to finish eating. "you don't like bacon?" taehyung asked in disbelief, side eyeing jeongguk surprisedly.

"well, i like it, i just don't eat it." he admitted.

"why don't you eat it?"

"my dad said that it would make me fat."

taehyung stopped eating altogether.

"what?" he looked at jeongguk with wide, concerned eyes. "he um, he didn't want me to eat certain foods because he said that i would be a disgrace to the family if i was fat." jeongguk said, staring at his shoes.

"gguk," taehyung reached forward and cupped his cheek, tilting his head up so they were looking into each other's eyes. "you're nowhere near fat, and even if you were i would still think you're beautiful."

jeongguk gulped.

"you think i'm beautiful?" he asked, and taehyung nodded, then proceeded to press a short and sweet kiss on his lips that tasted like bacon. "you're absolutely stunning jeongguk." he giggled, and then picked up a piece of bacon and held in front of jeongguk's face.

"do you want it?" jeongguk took the piece timidly, and then popped it into his mouth, chewing it with a grimace. slowly the grimace turned into a normal face, and then he was humming because of how good it was.

"thank you baby." he whispered into taehyung's ear, and gave his cheek a kiss.

"oh and speaking of no cereal, we should go grocery shopping later." taehyung said with jeongguk's lips still resting on his cheek. jeongguk pulled away with a big mwah! sound, and both giggled.

"okay, grocery shopping it is." he rested an arm around taehyung, using his freehand to accept another piece of bacon that taehyung was giving him.

"you seriously wanna buy mini wheats?" taehyung yelled from the shopping kart. he was sitting in it while jeongguk wheeled him around the grocery store, taehyung grabbing the few things he needed and shoving them into it.

"what's wrong with mini wheats?" jeongguk was fighting taehyung who was trying to force the mini wheats out of his hands and back on the shelf.

"they're like the celery of cereal." taehyung said it like it was the simplest thing ever, and jeongguk raised an eyebrow.

"what's wrong with celery?"
taehyung facepalmed.

"jesus your dad is an asshole." he whispered, hearing a small snicker from the boy behind him. "now put the mini wheats back and grab the least nutritious cereal you can find." taehyung ordered, and jeongguk complied with annoyance.

he grabbed lucky charms and threw them in the kart, taehyung's satisfied boxy smile making the mini argument worth it.

"okay, next we need ramen noodles." taehyung proclaimed, pointing further down the isle to where jeongguk presumed the ramen noodles were.

jeongguk inhaled sharply, but pushed taehyung towards the sodium death trap anyways.

taehyung sighed when he heard jeongguk's reaction, and put a hand over jeongguk's one that was wrapped around the handle of the kart.

"did your spawn of satan father not let you eat those either?" he asked, and jeongguk came to a stop.

"yeah." he admitted, looking at taehyung solemnly. "i'm sorry gguk, he doesn't deserve to call you his son." taehyung rubbed over his hand lightly, showing that he cared.

"now gimme a kiss." taehyung puckered his lips and jeongguk removed his hands from the kart, cupping taehyung's cheeks. he placed a small kiss on taehyung's lips, and then nearly fell when taehyung grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for a longer one.

the kiss was innocent, and then taehyung began lightly nibbling at jeongguk's bottom lip, the longer their lips were connected the deeper the kiss got.

when jeongguk could feel taehyung's tongue slowly teasing his lip and their "kiss" was turning into more of a makeout, he pulled off, panting.

"we should probably go home." jeongguk was still looking into taehyung's eyes, resisting the urge to kiss him again because they were in public.

"yeah, grab the ramen noodles and let's go."

jeongguk gave taehyung a small smirk, and then suddenly began pushing the kart full speed, taehyung squealing like a child as he rushed to hold onto something.

they stopped right next to the ramen noodles and jeongguk allowed taehyung to grab a bunch, both giggling the whole time as they stockpiled on them.

then taehyung caught sight of something, and pointing jeongguk towards it excitedly.

"jeongguk look at all the cherry cola's!!" he exclaimed, the wall next to the ramen noodles lined with hundreds of cans of cherry cola, jeongguk laughing at how kid like taehyung sounded.

jeongguk immediately pushed the kart towards the soda, and began putting cans into the kart, making taehyung look at him funny.

"jeongguk, you don't have to get me any soda."

jeongguk stopped to look at taehyung, giving a half smile.

"i don't wanna get you any soda, i wanna get you all the soda." he pouted, and taehyung cooed and reached forward to give him a peck.

"well any is enough, so let's go check out."

jeongguk stopped grabbing sodas and wheeled the kart around, going at full speed to the front of the grocery store. he only slowed down when they approached the checkout line, receiving glares from a multitude of workers.

the grocery store was rather empty, so they didn't have to wait in a line. taehyung hopped out of the kart with the help of jeongguk, who ended up carrying taehyung on his back like a 6 year old while he unloaded groceries.

they were having way too much fun as jeongguk would occasionally swing taehyung around and make them both erupt into giggles.

the entire time the cashier rang them up he was giving them strange looks, but neither of them minded.

"baby can you grab my wallet?" jeongguk asked while noticing the cashier was almost finished ringing them up.

"your wallet? but the food is for my house-"

"that you're so kindly letting me stay at. the least i can do is pay for your groceries." jeongguk said, leaving taehyung in shock as he rummaged in jeongguk's back pocket for his wallet.

he found it and pulled it out, holding it in his hand, reluctant to give it to jeongguk.

"look, you really don't have to-"

he wasn't able to finish because jeongguk snatched the wallet out of his hand, giving taehyung a smile while doing so.

he opened it up and pulled out his debit card, giving it to the still very butthurt looking cashier.

the cashier swiped the card in annoyance, frowning when it made a little beeping sound. he swiped it again, and the beeping sound reoccurred.

"dude, your card was declined."

jeongguk froze.

"um, ok." he reached and took the debit card back with wide eyes, and then opened his wallet up again and pulled out cash.

he grabbed an unknown amount and put it on the counter, mumbling a "keep the change" and then carrying a concerned taehyung and some groceries out of the store.

"what just happened?" taehyung asked while they passed through the sliding doors, a wave of cool air hitting them in the face.

"my dad must've frozen my bank accounts." jeongguk muttered, he kept his eyes on his shoes and grip on the groceries tight, so tight his knuckles were turning pale.

taehyung felt a swarming anger in his stomach, an anger directed towards jeongguk's father because he just wouldn't let his own son live.

"jeongguk, i could've paid if i'd known." he snuggled into jeongguk's shoulder, feeling a bit better when jeongguk slightly leaned into the touch.

"no, it's ok, i have cash. let's just go home and put these away okay?" he reached taehyung's car and opened the door, placing the groceries careful inside and then putting taehyung down gently.

he was opening the door for taehyung when taehyung closed it, forcing jeongguk to look into his eyes.

"i'm here for you, okay gguk?" he whispered, and then he reached up and cupped jeongguk's jaw.

"i know." jeongguk whispered back, and then taehyung leaned up and kissed him delicately, their lips moving against each other taking away any dread either of them felt.

"now let's go home."
