jimin giggled as he felt a familiar hand grab his wrist and pull him down the empty hallways, heading towards their usual spot.
the moment the entered the small janitor closet and the door was closed, he was pressed up against the wall.
the smell of cleaning products and mildew tickled his nose, but the boy that was inches away from his face overpowered the scent completely.
it only took seconds for the two to connect their lips in a deep kiss, the taller one's hand gripping at jimin's waist in order to bring their bodies closer. jimin hummed into the kiss as it turned into something more, their lips moving in sync perfectly after getting used to doing it so many times.
the older pulled away, causing jimin to chase after him with a whine, but stop when he saw the serious look on his face.
"i missed you so much." seokjin breathed, staring deeply into jimin's eyes.
jimin felt small under his gaze, but he didn't mind. "i missed you too." he said, his chest heaving, still slightly of out of breath from what they had just done.
"i didn't get to see you all of winter break." seokjin sighed, sounding upset, causing jimin to cup his cheek with one hand.
"hey, it's okay. i'm here now."
they exchanged small smiles before connecting their lips once more, thinking the short time they had parted had already been too long.
and when the two left the closet, they went their separate ways.
everything was normal. just two... friends.
just friends.
that was bullshit.
now
"come on, it'll be fun, i'm telling you!" yoongi said, annoyed.
he was practically dragging his bestfriend along the pavement, and taehyung was being extra stubborn today.
"come on yoongi! i've only been on one date with the guy and you already want me to be buddy buddy with his friends?" taehyung asked as he pouted like a child while letting yoongi pull him along.
"but i don't even want you to meet them because of jeongguk, they're just genuinely nice people!" yoongi cried, pausing for a moment to take a break.
taehyung just stood there and examined yoongi's hunched over form, and folded his arms. "you can't make me go!"
yoongi had told taehyung that they were going to go and get some ramen, but when they pulled up at an amusement park the truth behind his intentions was revealed.
he had tricked taehyung into coming along to hang out with all the boys, jeongguk included.
and taehyung's inner introvert was not happy about that.
"i don't even like amusement parks all that much!" taehyung exclaimed, and yoongi glared at him. "taehyung, you love amusement parks."
it was true. although taehyung wasn't all that great on scary rides, he loved all the games and food at these places, and some of the rides were really fun.
taehyung groaned in response, cursing himself for having any friends at all. yoongi knew him too well, and in this situation it was annoying.
"just suck it up, they're all really nice." yoongi pleaded, standing up and grabbing onto taehyung's wrist again. he didn't pull yet, he wanted to give taehyung a chance to respond before he decided to drag him again.
taehyung thought about it before snatching his hand out of yoongi's grip.
"fine." he snapped, and began walking fast, passing yoongi.
yoongi let out a silent cheer, before following his very, very, stubborn best friend.

"and that's why cotton candy is a million times better than funnel cake." jimin finished off his rant, everyone looking super annoyed.
the five boys were sitting down at a table in the amusement park, after getting food from a small stand that sold all kinds of artery clogging snacks. they were right next to a few of the bigger rides, and were planning to go on them after.
"no way in hell that cotton candy's better!" seokjin yelled at him, although everyone else knew that he was just trying to continue the argument with jimin.
namjoon groaned and rested his face into his hands, not in the mood for another jimin-jin argument. "not this again." he groaned, and seokjin gave him a glare although namjoon couldn't see it.
the two feuding boys had been getting along just fine during their time at the amusement park so far, but then seokjin ordered a funnel cake over cotton candy and jimin's exact words were:
"a dumbass food for a dumbass person."
then when seokjin had erupted and asked why it was so stupid, jimin went on a rant about how superior cotton candy was, hoping it would somehow convince the other - it didn't, and now they were back to square one.
stupid arguments.
"why do i even bother with you!" jimin sighed, shaking his head while taking a bite of his cotton candy. "beats me." seokjin shot back, hmphing and turning to namjoon.
jeongguk was about to make a comment about how they were literally acting like five year olds, arguing over food, when he spotted yoongi and taehyung looking around. "yoongi, taehyung!" he shouted, waving in their direction.
all the other boys looked in the direction jeongguk was waving, but then turned back around and focused on their food again.
yoongi waved at jeongguk and began walking over, and taehyung trailed behind him slowly looking kind of uneasy.
when they reached the table yoongi sat across from jimin, and taehyung nervously sat across from jeongguk.
"you guys know taehyung and yoongi." jeongguk gestured towards the two, and everyone said an incoherent "hey." yoongi seemed to fit right in and immediately began conversation with jimin and hoseok, but taehyung felt really awkward.
he was about to tell everyone that he was going to the bathroom and then dip, when jeongguk grabbed his hand. "relax, everyone here is nice." he said quietly and only to taehyung.
he reassuringly ran his thumb up and down taehyung's palm, making taehyung blush like mad. "okay." taehyung mumbled, and he visibly relaxed, his posture slouching a bit more than before.
"i wanna go on the ride!" jimin pointed up at the big one towering above them, making everyone look.
"jimin are you sure? you don't usually like-" hoseok looked at his boyfriend in concern, knowing that jimin usually got really scared by these things.
"of course i'm sure!" jimin snapped, cutting him off. hoseok wasn't sure why he was acting so snippy, but he didn't want to argue. "alright." he sighed.
"oooh, i wanna go too! taehyung we should ride it together!" jeongguk said excitedly, feet bouncing. taehyung's stomach dropped to his feet.
he would probably make a fool of himself if he went on that.
but the excited look on jeongguk's face made him agree without hesitation.
"okay." he tried sounding excited, and he thought it worked, for the most part.
"i'll go too i guess." seokjin sighed, and then raised an eyebrow at his boyfriend. "namjoon?" he questioned, and namjoon shook his head.
"i don't really wanna." he shrugged, and seokjin glared daggers at him.
"what, do you want me to piss my pants? because if i go on that ride i will piss my pants and i don't think you want to have to help me clean-"
"alright shut the fuck up i get it! you can stay jesus." seokjin put a hand up, looking mildly disgusted and namjoon let out a smile.
"i'll stay with namjoon." yoongi agreed while on his phone, looking up for a moment to give namjoon a quick fist bump.
"i don't think i wanna either." hoseok said absentmindedly, looking uneasy as he stared at the height of the roller coaster. "it's a little higher than i thought..." he frowned.
jimin's eyes widened. "hoseok! but if you don't go then that means i'd have to go with-"
"too scared, park?" seokjin stopped him with a cocky smile.
jimin could feel his insides boil, and his eyes instantly darkened. "never."
&
"you scared yet?" seokjin asked snarkily as him and jimin were strapped into the ride, taehyung and jeongguk sitting somewhere behind them.
"i already told you that i'm not scared." jimin scoffed, tightening his seatbelt. he was completely terrified, but he took drama for 4 years so he knew how to mask it.
but the slight trembling of jimin's hands told seokjin otherwise, and he felt a pang in his chest. but what was he supposed to say? anything he did say would only make something already bad worse.
"are you gonna chicken out, park?" seokjin asked as he also tightened his seatbelt. he loved scary rides, but he assumed that jimin did not by the looks of the boy.
"you mean like you did 2 and a half years ago?" jimin snapped back, unamused.
seokjin freezed.
he stayed silent.
the ride started up and jimin's nerves grew, but seokjin was thankful for the loud sound as it covered up the suffocating silence between him and jimin after the comment.
the ride started and jimin gripped the seat handles, knowing that he definitely shouldn't have done this.
the got halfway up the incline before he started panicking.
"shit, shit, i can't do this! i'm gonna die!" he closed his eyes and grimaced, not having the courage to look down. his knuckles were white from gripping onto the handles so hard, feeling like if he let go then he would fall off.
"pussy." seokjin laughed, but jimin gave him a look, and seokjin saw that there were tears in his eyes.
"can't you just not be an asshole for five seconds? now is not the time!" he yelled, his voice cracking. seokjin's smile instantly faded, being replaced with one of worry.
"i'm sorry." seokjin didn't know what to do.
"you should be!" jimin cried, a tear spilling out of his eyes. he looked up and nearly puked. "shit we're almost at the top, shit!"
now both of them were panicking, jimin because of the ride and seokjin because he was scared jimin was going to have a panic attack.
"uh, uh," seokjin searched his mind desperately for ideas.
"you could hold my hand?" seokjin offered up, cringing slightly at the suggestion.
"seriously!" jimin exclaimed as they were almost there.
"i don't know, it was just a suggestion!"
"i'm not holding your hand you assho-"
they dropped.
jimin shrieked, his stomach flying to his feet. he hated the feeling, and there were other drops on the ride coming up that he didn't know if he could make it through.
"holy shit!" he chanted, his hands gripping the handles once more.
he was doing okay, until the second large drop. then that's when he lost all his senses.
feeling like he was about to pass out, he gripped onto seokjin's hand tightly, interlacing their fingers.
seokjin looked over at jimin, surprised, and saw jimin looking a little dazed and terrified. he squeezed jimin's hand lightly, trying to give the younger some form of comfort.
then the ride stopped.
jimin immediately unstrapped himself, getting off the ride hastily and trying not to throw up.
seokjin followed immediately after him, wanting to talk to him about what just happened.
"hey jimin, can we-"
jimin was hunched over, and he pointed up a finger at him while his other hand rested on his stomach.
"no, don't talk to me."
seokjin frowned.
"but i-"
"i said don't talk to me!" jimin snapped.
that roller coaster ride had brought on some supressed emotions for jimin, and he was feeling overwhelmed.
but most of all he was angry. so, so, angry. and seokjin knew exactly why.
"listen, i'm sorry for-"
"why should i listen to you?"
jimin's voice cracked, and it made seokjin break.
"just please, let me talk!" seokjin yelled, needing the younger to listen to him, he needed for him to hear him out.
jimin looked up at him with a quivering lip and watery eyes, but he looked so mad that it sent a chill down seokjin's spine.
"i made that mistake once, i'm not doing it again." jimin nearly whispered, but his words held so much weight that it made up for the lack in volume.
seokjin felt a lump in his throat, trying not to cry.
"jimin, i just want to talk-" seokjin pleaded, but jimin wouldn't have it.
"i said no seokjin." he turned away, and began walking quickly away from the place the ride let out, wiping his tears as he left.
"j-just leave me alone."
seokjin's mind hurt after jimin left him like that, feeling a weight on his chest that he didn't think could be lifted.
and the thing that made it even worse was that he knew the whole thing was entirely his fault.
all his fault.
