DOWNTOWN STREETS
YONGSAN-GU , MAD CITY
11:45 AM, TUESDAY

LEE DONGHYUCK'S VIEW

"Why am I doing this again?" Renjun raised an eye brow at me, voice laced with boredom as I continued to stare down at the busy streets with my binoculars.

"Because! You have keen eyes and–"

"Yeah, shut up." he grunted, hand running down his face in annoyance. "Do you even see them?"

Blinking, I looked back at the streets, seeing no one in particular making me sigh and slump my shoulders. "Was the location even right?"

"It is." he uttered, before smacking the back of my head. I let out a yelp, glaring at him for doing that. "What the hell Renjun?!"

He quickly shushed me, pointing down, "There they are."

I peered down the apartment building we settled on, brows furrowing after seeing yet another man next to the target. "Is he the part-timer Chenle and Yangyang were talking about?"

Renjun nodded, "Yeah, she looks... smaller than I imagined."

"Shut up shortie." I scoff and moved before he could even smack me again.

"Where are they going...?"

"Over there," Renjun pointed and moved the left, docking his head down closer, "Mikami Crown Club."

The name rung inside my head. Mikami Crown Club. The first ever bar the Mikami Empire had in South Korea, the Empire that Taeyong-hyung's family company nearly brought down.

"Have you secured their location?" Jisung's voice was loud in clear through their earpieces.

"Yes." Renjun answered in a low voice.

"They're at Mikami Crown Club, right?"

"Mhm," I hummed and watched as two of the boys walked in, leaving Keiko standing outside. My brows furrowed in confusion, tapping the assassin next to me, "Did you see that?"

"Did something happen?" Jeno questioned.

"No. It's just– Keiko didn't enter the bar."

"Just as Chenle expected," Jeno uttered and that made Renjun and I look at each other.

"Huh? What do you mean Jeno?" Renjun asked, eyes going back to stare at the girl.

"I'm sending in Jaemin–" the sound got cut off quick and I couldn't help but question what had happen.

Squinting my eyes, I saw Keiko talking to some man that we couldn't really recognize. I tried contacting Jisung through the earpiece but I guessed he disconnected it.

Feeling a buzzing sensation down my pocket, I fished out my phone to see Taeyong-hyung calling. "Hyung?" I answered immediately.

"Get down from the building and position yourself in a closer spot– there are Nightwalkers nearby."

"What the fuck–" I was about to question Taeyong when Renjun immediately ducked my head down, pulling up his sniper, he aimed at the building across from us, pulling the trigger and a loud gunshot noise was made.

"Nightwalkers!" Renjun yelled and pushed me, "Go. Now. I'll take care of the top view."

I nodded and grabbed my gun, running down the stairs of the apartment building we were on. I made my way out after hiding my gun in my holster.

A beep noise went out and I pressed onto my earpiece, "Haechan speaking."

"Hyung, be careful. Nightwalkers are nearby, we believe they are after Yun Keiko." Chenle uttered as I heard muffled voices from the other side, "There are two in the alley a few blocks near the Mikami Crown Club," he listed, "and one following behind you."

With that, I sighed and quickened my pace, reaching for the pocket knife. Seeing as I neared the alley, I made a sharp turn and grabbed the guy's collar, pushing him down the pavement of the dark alley.

"Idiots." I laughed stabbed his side, leaving him to groan and kick me off, falling down to the corner with his arms clutched around his torso.

I heard a click sound, followed by gunshots, making me move quickly towards the huge bin for cover. "Tsk," I scoff at them, "Since when did you start roaming in day time?" I pulled out my gun and started shooting, aiming effortlessly as my bullets ended up grazing one's shoulder while I managed to shoot the others chest area twice.

"Right, NCT rules the street during nighttime." Cackling, a smirk tugged up my lips as I blew the tip of my gun, placing it back onto my holster.

I was about to say something when I saw the fallen guy reached for the gun on the floor. I scoffed and kicked the gun, aiming at him then shooting twice along with his other teammate who was already knocked out.

"You want to shoot me, too?" I raised a brow at the last one standing.

Blood was oozing out his bullet grazed shoulder, jaws clenched as he aimed his gun at me.

I sighed and pulled out the bloody pocket knife from the guy's side, pointing it at the other guy, "Shoot me then."

With a click, the bullet nearly grazed my shoulder and my jaw dropped, teasing the guy with a shocked expression, "You almost got me!" I clapped, "Target locked." I pouted and threw my knife, before he could even pull the trigger again.

He dropped to the ground as the knife plunged into his chest making him fall back, the gun flying from his grasp.

I rolled my eyes and ran out the alleyway, leaving him crying out in pain. "And you call yourself the kings of night when you can't even rule day." I spat, turning to a small gap between buildings.

"Where are you going?" Chenle suddenly spoke through the earpiece.

"Heading back."

"Okay, good. Jaemin's taking care of Keiko."

"He better be." I grunted and opened a hidden doorway using the silver ring we all had. Once the scanner recognized the specific ring, a red light lit up as I pressed my hand on it.

The door slides open and I stepped in quickly. I dropped to the ground, a loud sigh coming out my mouth. Staring soullessly at my hands, eyelids dipping close.

A few seconds passed and the door reopens. I stood up, dusting my black pants, heading out the elevator.

I bit my bottom lip hard, walking down the dimly lit underground passageway we have. Hands running through my middle parted brown hair, "Yun Keiko."

"Yah, what are you doing here?"

I snapped my head up to see Yuta pushing a cart full of scraps of metal. "Heading back to the base."

"Oh, aren't you supposed to be with Renjun?"

"He's taking out Nightwalkers right now..." I mumbled lowly, waking down beside him.

"Hyung, do you know what Taeyong is up to?"

Yuta shrugged his shoulders, a small laugh filled the silent passageways, "He's Taeyong, no one knows what goes on his crazy mind."

"You said something about Keiko during the first meeting about her, right?" I glanced up at the mechanic, noticing his body stiffened a bit I knew he has something.

"Yun Keiko is someone I've met before, by before, I mean't in Japan."

Eyes widening like saucers, I stopped walking as he did too. "No way?"

He sighed, nodding his head, "We met at the bartending competition when I had a mission at Japan."

"Now recognizing Keiko, I kind of understand one of the reasons why Taeyong-hyung wants her."

Frowning my lips, I tilted my head, "Why?"

"Their families are rivals."

He then chuckled, "Or at least, were."
