SIX

- Chapter Six -
"Game on, Potter."

"SHERRY?"

"Yes, Moony." James sighed for about the sixth time that night, running a hand through his brown hair. He had proposed his prank idea and who to do it on, which immediately caused an uproar. Not so much from Peter, but from Remus and Sirius. "Opal."

"But Prongs," Remus got up from his bed and walked over to James'. "She will kill me."

"Hey, Sirius is supposed to be the dramatic one." James pointed over to their long-haired friend who nodded in acceptance.

"I'm not being dramatic." Remus widened his eyes, perching himself at the end of his friend's bed. "Have you forgotten that she lives with me? She'll get her revenge when I least expect it."

"Living with Sherry?" Sirius perked up. "Lucky." He sighed whilst James shook his head at his friend.

"Yeah, I'll make sure to tell you how it is when I've got nail scratches all over my soon-to-be bloody face." Remus snapped sarcastically and Sirius shrunk back, pursing his lips. "Prongs, she will murder me. Then she'll murder Sirius. Then Peter and then you."

"Me? Why me?" Peter asked, furrowing his eyebrows whilst taking his head out of his pillow, where it had been snuggled into.

"Because you're an accomplice." Remus pointed at him, smiling sarcastically whilst cocking his head to the side.

"Moony, this isn't a murder." James groaned. "It's just a prank."

"Yeah, a prank which could lead to my murder." He seethed and fell back on his own bed, groaning whilst he clutched his pillow to his chest. "I'm a dead man."

"Come on," James groaned, slipping off of his bed and onto the floor before he stood up off of the floor and looked around at them all. "What's the worst she could do? Hex us? Curse us? We'll be out of the hospital wing in an hour tops."

"She's more...physical." Remus said, sighing and Sirius laughed, looking over at them but when he saw that they weren't amused, his smile dropped.

"So what? Punches us? I'd like to see her try."

"She threatened to kick a toddler off of a trike because he was riding in the road whilst we were crossing it." The werewolf informed his friends. "I had to drag her across the street to stop her from killing a child."

"Ah, classic." Sirius shook his head with a smile. "I love women."

"No, you just love Sherry." Peter retorted, throwing a pillow over to the boy, who caught it and wiggled his eyebrows at the blonde boy.

"Touché." He said before looking over at James. "Look, Prongs, you know I love pranks. But I don't want this to ruin my chances with Sherry."

"What chances?" Remus mumbled and Sirius held his middle finger up at the boy with a bright grin on his face.

"No, no, no. Moony's right. I heard her flirting with Simmons a couple of days ago." James pointed at Sirius. "She was twirling her hair and giggling and biting her lip and batting her eyelashes, being all flirty. He was into it, too."

"Simmons?" Sirius lifted his head up. "Why don't we just prank him instead? Isn't he the new Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain?"

"I think." James replied, furrowing his eyebrows in thought before snapping out of it. "No! No, we're pranking Sherry. And I have the greatest idea, ever."

Peter, Remus and Sirius exchanged concerned glances at the look of pure evil on James' face as he stared creepily at the window that looked out at the sky. He was thinking and he was thinking hard, fidgeting with his hands whilst the cogs in his brain started to turn.

Sherry Opal and Amber González stood in front of a long mirror in the fifth-year Ravenclaw dorms. The blonde was sporting her normal school uniform with a few adjustments: Jumper tucked into her skirt, skirt rolled up, belt keeping it in place (far more appealing than just a zipper), socks over the knees, black heels and her cloak cut shorter like the ones at Ilvermorny. Amber kept hers the same and was just staring at Sherry, wide-eyed.

"I was only gone for ten minutes." Amber said, staring at her friend through the mirror. Sherry smirked and twirled around, her black cloak that now reached her hips twirling around with her. She had to cut the sleeves off and then sew the holes together before cutting the actual length of it. Of course it was all done with magic since she couldn't actually sew or cut fabric for the life of her. Everything was better with magic.

"Doesn't it look fabulous, though?" She asked, turning to her friend.

Amber took a deep breath, willing herself not to give in since she was trying to acquire the position of head girl when it came to seventh year. She had been hoping to get prefect, but there was no badge in her letter when she opened it. Sherry raised her eyebrows at the girl, before she sighed and a smile made its way onto her face.

"Okay, yes, I agree, it looks amazing!" She admitted and Sherry clapped her hands together with a smile, turning back to face herself in the mirror.

"Do you want me to do it to yours?" She asked.

"No." Amber shook her head, holding a hand up. "No, no, no. If I do that then I can kiss my chances at being head girl farewell."

"We're making a statement!"

"By breaking school rules?" She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms after picking up her bag and pulling it up into her shoulder.

"No, actually." Sherry smirked before rushing over to her own bed and bringing a large book out from under it. "You see, I found the updated version of the school rules. The only one about uniform is that the student must be wearing all required articles of clothing. And I am, just styled differently."

"And your heels?"

"Students may wear any shoe type they feel is necessary for everyday activities." She read and smiled whilst throwing the book back down onto her bed. "I can walk in heels, I can run in heels and I can play Quidditch in heels."

"You can run and play Quidditch in heels?" Amber asked incredulously as her friend grabbed her own bag and hiked it up her shoulder before making her way to the entrance and exit of their dorm.

"Well, I wear wedges for Quidditch so they don't slip off of my feet, but yes." She shrugged and opened the door, Amber laughing slightly as she walked out next to the girl.

The two made their way down the corridor of the girls dorms and down the stairs to the main area of the common room, where they saw Oliver and Louis sat talking to each other. Sherry linked her arm through Ambers as they walked, smiling at her friend as they did so.

"Hey." Amber smiled as she unlinked her arm from Sherry's and plopped down on the sofa next to her brother whilst the blonde took a seat next to Louis, who glanced at her and did a double take of her uniform.

"What did you do to your uniform?" He asked with a laugh, reaching out to fiddle with her newly cut cloak.

"I made it better." She replied, standing up and turning slowly so that they could see all aspects of her improvements.

Oliver clapped his hands together in applause as she gave a little mock courtesy, laughing as she did so. Amber just shook her head and stood to tie Sherry's tie, which she had not done yet. She tilted her head up as Ambers hands got to work on the blue and bronze tie that was loose around her friends neck.

"You can't tie a tie?" Oliver asked with a raised eyebrow, fiddling with his own.

"I didn't think I would ever need to." She defended, straightening up. "The British boarding school threat was given so many times I was beginning to think my mom was just using it to scare me. Obviously not."

"Well, at least you made friends." Louis tried with a smile and she nodded with a shrug, turning to the others.

"Shall we go down for breakfast?" She asked them and the twins nodded, both standing from their place on the sofa. Once again, she linked her arm but not with Amber this time, Oliver instead as they both made their way towards the door to the common room. Amber and Louis following.

The group were in their own world as they laughed and talked whilst walking down the corridors, the sound of Sherry's heels clicking against the cobblestone floor like echoes on a hollow surface followed them closely. The American was getting a variety of looks when people noticed her strutting down the hallway with her new outfit.

Some narrowed their eyes, some raised their eyebrows and some just stared, whether it be envy or desire, she didn't mind. She just like being looked at. Amber blushed under all the attention that not just Sherry, but the group was getting, the girl had never really been in the spotlight that much apart from the minimal praise she got in her classes. But that praise was soon moved onto Lily Evans. Lily and Amber were friends, don't get her wrong, but sometimes when the attention always goes to that one person then it sort of irks her the wrong way.

So now that people were starting to notice her, a red hue started to glow on her face and Sherry smiled at the sight, nudging Oliver and gesturing over to her, to which the boy smiled at too. As siblings, let alone twins, of course they would make fun of each other, but seeing her sister as happy as this, Oliver began to feel a bit happy himself.

Turning into the corridor where the doors to the Great Hall were, even more people turned their heads to look at Sherry's altered uniform. It was like she was getting high off of the attention, the way a content smile tugged at the corner of her lips whenever she caught someone staring. She lived for standing out in a large crowd, it was something she never did at Ilvermorny. Of course she was popular and had a great group of friends, but she was just another teenage witch over there.

It was probably why she loved hanging out with muggles so much, at first they thought her odd since she didn't know how anything worked, but then they grew to love her for that and slowly she became common with muggle things, making her gain attention at school again for the pen she was using and the notepad of lined paper that she would always have before her.

Here was the same, if not even better. She was American, meaning that through her first couple of weeks, people had been coming up to her and asking her to say something which she did and would receive comments like 'cool!' Or 'awesome'. Plus this new uniform look had gotten the attention back to her when people had grown tired of hearing her accent.

Her heels continued to click on the floor as she waved at a passing Hufflepuff boy, who managed to blush through his dark complexion.  As she turned into the hall, she could've sworn that everyone was staring at her. Which they were, but as much as she loved attention, they couldn't have possibly known that she was already wearing an altered uniform and unless they could see through walls, they couldn't have possibly known that she would be coming round the corner.

It all made sense when she felt a cold, disgusting sludge fall on top of her perfectly primped hair, she froze, keeping her mouth shut tightly as it trickled down from her hair, onto her shoulders, down her body and onto the floor beneath her. Not a sound left her lips as a drop of the green muck dripped off of the top of her head, falling past her eye-line.

"Oh my." She heard Amber gasp next to her as she brought her hands up to her face and tried to wipe off the slime that had gotten there.

The blonde opened her eyes, seeing the entirety of the hall staring at the girl, seemingly waiting to see how she would react. Her eyes scanned the tables, willing themselves to find the suspect that had just ruined her first day of the new uniform.

As imagined, her gaze fell upon Potter as he laughed to his friends, who also had a hard time keeping their laughs in. If there was one thing that Sherry had learned from life, it was to never give anyone any satisfaction.

So when she started forwards, the only sound echoing around the Great Hall the sound of her heels, walking towards where the four boys sat. A smirk tugged on her lips when Remus gulped, Peter looked in her direction with wide eyes, Sirius' smile dropped and Potter just kept the same arrogant look on his face.

When she arrived, she said nothing, just relished in the tense silence of the hall. Then she took one of her hands and ran it along her arms and then ran it through Potter's hair. His mouth fell agape in disgust as he groaned, muttering a 'dude.'

"Game on, Potter."
