One month later

"Sup curl fry." Mikey greeted the little girl.

"C-Cury fry?" She tilted her head to the side, confused.

"Yeah I like giving people nicknames. So I gave you one." Mikey smiles.

"What's a nickname?" She asked.

"Well a nickname is what you call someone when their name is too long." Mikey explains
"My full name is Michaelango but people call me Mikey for short."

"Ohhhhh." The girl nodded understanding. Raphael walked pass heading to his room to work out.

"Hi Rap." The girl greeted him, waving.

"Rap?" Raph raises an eyebrow "Who the heck is Rap."

"You are that's your nickname." The girl explains.

Raph huffed as he rolled his eyes "You're even dumber than Mikey." He mumbles as he walked out of the room.

Mikey frowned at his older brother for being mean.

"Mikey?" He looked down at the girl tugging on his shorts, with a hurt look. "Why doesn't he like me?"

"Aww don't worry kiddo." Mikey got down to her level, ruffling her hair. "Raph just grumpy all the time but don't worry he'll warm up to you."

The little girl looked down sadly, she wanted to get to know Raph but he would just shut down. Mikey could clearly see she was upset and then gets an idea.

"Hey why don't we go drink my orange crush stash." Mikey smiles.

"What's orange crush?" She asked.

Mikey gasps dramatically and get a very big smile.

"Oh I'm gonna teach you everything I know." Mikey smirked as he carried her to the kitchen.

"And that is the last time you will ever give her soda." Leo scowls Mikey as he and Donnie were picking up items off of the floor, it looked like a tornado had gone though the lair!

"Hey how was I supposed to know she would spazz out." Mikey said defensive.

"Judging on her size that was probably her first time having sugar." Donnie carries her as she slumps over his shoulder. "Note to self hide all of the pop tarts."

Suddenly an alarm goes off that wakes the girl up but for some reason she started to freak out, wiggling in Donnie's arms, panicking.

"Hey Hey it's ok it's ok." Donnie freaked out himself bouncing her a little similar to a baby "it's just an alarm."

Leo and Mikey looked at her worried, thinking the same thing.

What the hell happened to this kid?

They all walked to Donnie's monitors, Donnie hands Mikey the little girl so he can activate the cameras.

"Shots fired, Broadway and Centre Street. Surveillance uplinks are showing heavy, heavy Foot Clan activity at the Broad Street platform." Donnie types away.

"Their taking hostages." Leo looked at the monitors.

"Somebody shut that kid up." Raph rolled his eyes, getting a migraine.

Mikey being more sympathetic turned to one of Donnie's monitor typing his fingers on the keyboard.

"Here why don't you watch this this always makes me happy." Mikey plays a funny cat video.

The girl suddenly stops and looks at the video, she started to laugh and giggle from the cat video.

Leo couldn't help but smile at hearing the girl laughing.

"You know we're not supposed to go above ground." Leo turned to Raph.

"We've done this before. We started something, we gotta finish it." Raph clutched his fist.

"This is insane. That cat is playing Chopsticks with chopsticks!." Mikey laughed as he and the girl laughed at the video.

Leo turns it off.

"Awwwww." They both said disappointed.

"Okay. Let's rock 'n' roll, boys!" Leo and Raph fist bump as all four boys grab their weapons. Raph turns to the girl "You tell Splinter we left and I'll punch ya teeth clean out of ya face." Raph shows her his fist, she covers her mouth with both of her hands with a terrified look.

Leo rolled his eyes as he started to leave, he then felt a little weight on his leg. He turned to see the girl hugging onto his leg.

"Are you coming back?" She looked up at him worried.

Leo smiles as he got on one knee.

"Don't worry we'll be back we gotta go take care of some bullies that are hurting people." Leo pat her head the girl looked at him like she didn't believe him.

Leo thought for a moment and got an idea, he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a pin with a Japanese word painted on it and puts it in her hand.

"I'll come back for this." Leo gave her a wink, she smiled as the heroes left.

The girl started to walk around the lair, curiousness filled her mind as she looked around her surroundings.

She looked at the weapons wall as she saw the swords on it, the shine of it drew her in as she started to walk towards it.

She sticks her hand out to touch it.

"That is called a katana."

She turned to see Splinter was watching her.

"One of the deadly weapons of the ninja." Splinter stood at the doorway, his smile warm and inviting. "Come, we'll have some tea."

The girl followed him into his room.

A few weapons lined the wall, A threaded rug ran under our feet. Large symbols were painted on the wall with black paint, along with four sets of little three-fingered handprints in blue, red, purple and orange.

"Those are my son's fingerprints." Splinter told her "They made those when they were about your size." Splinter poured the tea, handing her a cup.

"Thank you." She smiled growing safer with rat mutant.

He smiled. "You must have many questions, "I have some questions for you also Child." He hands her a plate with warm biscuit.

"Mm Hm." She nodded as she took a bite of biscuit, she squeaked at the warm soft texture in her mouth which made her smile a big smile. "I take it you like it?" Splinter smirked.

The girl nodded excitedly "Can I have some more please?"

"Of course you can." Splinter smiled as he gave her another one.

"If you don't mind me asking little one." Splinter asked "How did you get trapped in that building."

The girl got a blank face.

"It was my fault." She looked down in shame. "What do you mean?" Splinter put down his mug.

"I just remember being really scared and anger." Tears swelled up in her eyes as looked down. Splinter sat patiently, his dark eyes never left her face. A sip of tea, and a soft smile.

"I can't remember anything after that." She wipes her tears away "A-Are you gonna send me back to the lab."

"No sweetheart." Splinter wipes away her tears "You don't have to worry about anyone hurting you again." He hugged her, she snuggled in his warm chest.

"Splinter."

"Yes my dear."

"Can I stay here with you?"

Splinter was thrown off for a second before holding her tighter with a warm smile.

"I would be honored for you to." Splinter pat her head.

Splinters ears perked up, he noticed that it more quiet than usual.

Which wasn't a good thing.

"Have you seen the boys?" Splinter asked.

Remember Raph's threat she gasps as she covered her mouth with both hands from fear.
Splinter frowned as he understood.

The turtles told her not to tell him they were going up to the surface.

And he knew which one of the brothers made a threat.

Splinter gently takes her hands off of her mouth, holding them "It's alright little one you can tell me."

The little girl bits her lips before opening her mouth to speak.
