The Next Day

Morning came and Anneliese felt the cold breeze, Howard must be already up. Wiping her hair from her face, she stayed in bed relaxing, it was rare for her to do so as she was a morning person. Steven would not be here for another few hours, giving plenty of time to relax and then stress over for not completing a few weapons.

Her relax in bed was shorten when a bang and all the lights going out for a brief second, Ana knew Howard was doing something stupid. Getting up and wrapping a robe around herself, slipping on slippers, she walked out of their quarters in the secret base down to one of the laboratories Howard had access to. Everything was in black with a bright blue light, the laboratory once had a glass chamber but now it was shattered to Howard's stupidity.

"What on earth was that!"

"A Hydra Cartridge"

"Don't say you.."

"i went to remove the glowing pellet and boom" he made hand motions of a bomb exploding.

Quickly calling on a team to clean up the mess, she walked with Howard back to his quarters. While in the shower, she hears the door open to here the tap start running. Oblivious that someone was showering, he washed his face from the ash he had collected from the explosion. Ana coughed to here Howard saying sorry while he finished washing his face, thankful for shower curtains, Howard sat down in a chair in the bathroom.

"How is Colleen?"

"Well i don't know, i spoke to her for a few seconds and left. But she is settling in nicely with a group of friends of Steven"

"Have you heard that Colleen is staying with her brother to fight, you should of heard the Colonel.

"Wait until i get to Colleen." she paused while she put her hand out of the shower curtains. "a towel."

Howard passed her a towel as she turned the shower off, wrapping her hair up in the towel she grabbed the robe from early to tie around her body. Howard muttering ideas about weapons from the group Steven was creating, she applied her make-up and walked out to change in her normal navy dress with a lab coat.

Pinning her hair into low rolled bun, she noticed Howard once again was struggling to do his tie. Walking over to do his tie, laughing at his ridiculous attempts the two were finished and choose to snack on a cracker before heading down. Howard was called into a meeting with Colonel Phillips while Ana went to work working on a new type of grenade.

It was strange for her to have such an obsession of grenades when it was reported her fathers unit died from a shell explosion, but Howard said it was fate. She decided the grenades needed security measures incase hydra got ahold of the grenade. Unlike her other grenades that are set off instantly, impossible for it to be faulty because if it is it would melt away. She decided to go a step further for the Stevens team, obviously at the time the allied forces could get and decode the Germans commands, this excluded Hydra.

The thought of manufacturing a grenade that could recognise the allied forces and the enemy would make it impossible for the opposition to get their hands on it. The technology for such advancements in a grenade was impossible in her time, but it didn't stop her from blue-printing a copy.

"Nor should you, pal. The moment you think you know what's goin' on in a woman's head, it's the moment your goose is well and truly cooked. Me, I concentrate on work. Which at the moment is about making sure you and your men do not get killed. Carbon polymer. " she heard Howard speak to Steven, he gestured to a piece of cloth lying on the table "Should withstand your average German bayonet. Although Hydra's not going to attack you with a pocket knife"

Ana walked up to Howard and Steven, walking past Stevens show shield, he tapped on it "I hear you're uh...kinda attached?"

"It's handier than you might think."

"I -"

"We" Ana cut him off.

"Sorry sweet peach, We took the liberty of coming up with some options."

He showed Steven all of the standard shields made by the two, titanium, copper and steel.

"This one's fun. She's been fitted with electrical relays. It'll allow you to..."

"What about this one?" Steven had picked up the Vibranium shield.

"No! No! That's just a prototype." yelled Howard

"What's it made of?"

What was it made of? Vibranium was a metal found in Wakanda, the strongest and rarest metal in the world and of course Howard Stark industrials found it and was using it for its advantage.

"Vibranium. It's stronger than steel and a third of the weight. It's completely vibration absorbent."

"How come it's not a standard issue?"

"That's the rarest metal on earth. What you're holding there? That's all we've got."

"Well all we can give" Ana muttered.

Steven was checking out the shield made out of Vibranium, when Agent Carter took a lash at Steven. Steven asked what she thought and she picked up on one of the guns and shoot at it, Howard looked like he was about to cry and Ana was just hoping she wouldn't become deaf from the continuous amount of loud noises she has heard so far.

While leaving the room she laughed when Steven and Howard spoke.

"I had some ideas about the uniform." Steven passes a piece of paper"

Howard took the piece of paper "Whatever you want, pal."

Walking into the storage room filled with weapons, she found Colleen looking at a gun.

"What is it made of?"

"What is with you Rogers and picking the needle from the haystack" muttered Ana.

"A prototype, made of Vibranium."

"And the pellets?"

"Glowing Blue Hydra Quality"

"How does it work?"

"like this"

Ana picked up the gun and pointed at a chair, it instantly disintegrated into nothing. Colleen had her mouth opened wide. Ana picked up a 'standard issue' for Stevens team which had the 'Glowing Blue Hydra' pellets. Shooting at the gun, it did not made a dent.

"Can i have it?"

"I really don't get a say, but oh well. Keep it and i will say it broke. But this stays between you and me."
