Lunch time soon rolled in and the room was filled with the students still talking about the rumor. In one particular table, the cheerleaders were happily sitting around discussing the rumor to Ruby.

"Maybe with the help of this rumor it would give you a push to Yugi"

Rachel said confidently.

"Speaking of Romeo, here he is"

Justina said causing Ruby to spin around on her seat and indeed saw her crush with his tray making his way to his group of friends.

"Maybe you should go talk to him"

Lana suggested. Ruby turn back around with a blush across her face.

"No way, I'm way out of his league"

Ruby said popping a French fry into her mouth.

"Oh come on, what's the worst that can happen?"

Hazel asked with a grin.

"He might talk to me"

Ruby said quietly causing the girls to scoff as they quickly pulled her up on her feet.

"Hey wait a second!"

She yelled before quickly being pushed to Yugi's table. Ruby nervously lost her footing causing her to fall to the ground beside Yugi.

"Are you okay? That looked like it hurt"

Yugi commented as he helped her up along with Joey.

"Um no, not really, just....Hi"

Ruby said shyly. Yugi blushed at her as he noticed the cheerleaders had pushed the captain a little bit too close to him.

"I take it that you heard about the rumors"

He said.

"Does it bother you?"

She asked nervously. Yugi had surprisingly shook his head.

"Rumors are rumors, eventually they'll died down"

He said causing Ruby to nervously scratch the back of her head

"Well, you know what they say there's a little truth to every rumor"

Ruby said nervously with a laugh causing Yugi to slightly smile at her.

"Yeah"

He said in agreement.

"But I was thinking, which is the reason why I was pushed over here in the first place"

She said glaring back slightly to her teammates.

"What is it?"

"What if they don't have to be rumors"

She said shyly causing Yugi to blush slightly.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean we can be friends, right or not, I mean it's totally up to you and you know what I'm sorry I asked"

She said anxiously with a giggle before turning around to walk away.

"Hold on a minute, I didn't say no"

Yugi said as Ruby quickly froze before turning back around shyly. Yugi smiled at her.

"Of course I would like to be your friend, I mean we can all be friends"

He said signaling to his friends as well. Ruby smiled at the offer.

"I would like that"

She said before confidently making her way to sit beside Yugi.

"Aw, our girl is growing up"

Hazel said proudly.

"Oh geez Ruby, thanks for introducing us too"

Rachel said sarcastically as she made her way around the table to sit beside Tristan. Soon the table was packed with the cheerleaders happily talking and chatting with the group.

"Tea, how come you're not part of the cheerleading squad?"

Denise asked curiously. Tea smiled kindly at her.

"Well one day I was deciding and I was going to sign up but I heard the yelling and screaming, so with that I just changed my mind that day"

She said before listening in to Yugi and Ruby's conversation.

"Oh I remember that day, we dropped Ruby from the top of the pyramid and man was she pissed. Ah good times"

Melissa said with a laugh.

"Do all of you hang out together?"

Joey asked Lana who smiled at him.

"We do everything together and we know everything about each other"

She answered. Yugi then quickly remembered the note.

"Then by any chance do you girls know who left this note in my locker?"

He asked causing everyone to shake their head but Ruby remained frozen.

"Whoever started the rumor probably left the note too"

Yugi said in thought.

"That can't be, we started the rumor by accident but never left a note because that would just be cruel"

Rachel said.

"Wait, why did you girls start the rumor?"

Yugi asked sadly.

"Like we said it was an accident, on coming students just love to listen to gossip"

Hazel said.

"You girls were gossiping about me? What did I do?"

He asked curiously. The girls remained quiet as they looked to Ruby for an answer.

"Um, well who wouldn't be talking about you, I mean after all you are the King of Games"

Ruby said causing the girls to sigh in relief that they didn't blow off Ruby's secret.

"Oh that would make sense"

Yugi said.

"Can I see that note, maybe we can find out the person by their writing style"

Lana suggested as she was handed the note. After just a few seconds, Lana looked up from the letter and couldn't help but smile as she got up to leave the table. One by one the cheerleaders did the same thing except for Ruby who had the note in her hands.

"What's that all about?"

Tristan asked to the captain. Ruby nervously bite the bottom part of her lip before smiling.

"You know what, the bell is gonna ring soon. I'll be seeing you around Yugi and maybe we can hangout this weekend"

She said with a playful wink causing Yugi to blush slightly before walking away. Yugi then looked down at the tray in embarrassment.

"I don't know but this seems a bit fishy. Why will the cheerleaders want to hangout?"

Tea asked

"Maybe they just became Yugi's cheerleaders"

Joey said with a laugh as he nudged Yugi. Yugi playfully smirk at him before looking back at the note in his hands.

"Oh well, maybe one day I'll find out who my secret admirer is"

Yugi said.

*GYM*

The cheerleaders were busy laughing their heads off while Ruby remained looking at them fuming in embarrassment.

"Why didn't you just tell him it was you"

Rachel said after calming down.

"Because I would like to be his friend first and know more about him"

Ruby said rubbing her arms gently.

"I was right, he's way out of my league"
