Abbie x Josh

For the bae

*Abbie's POV*

I wandered through the house in search for my one true Bae, Josh. It'd been over an hour since he'd said he would be finished editing and uploading videos he'd recorded a couple of days before. Honestly. That boy is committed to his work. I ran up the stairs, bumping into Vik who had a box of something.
"What's in the box, Cinnamon Bun?" I said playfully only to see him freeze and spin on his heels, running back towards his room where he'd come from.
"Vik? Vik what the hell come out where is everyone?!" I shouted as I banged on his door. He opened it slightly, enough for me to see his eyes.
"I don't know but I'm in here so uhhhh bye!" He shouted and slammed the door behind him again. I knocked on his door, harder this time, and he opened again. His face was red with embarrassment and anxiety as he failed to look me in the eye several times.
"Vik...you know what'll happen if you don't tell me." I taunted before slowly advancing towards him and forcing the door open.
"No no Abbie please don't." He panted almost breathlessly and tried to run away when he realised there was no way out.
"Vik. Wanna tell me now? Or do I have to get it out of you?" I said, staring him square in the eye as he backed onto the bed and fell on it, pressing his back up against the headboard.
"You won't get anything out of me!" He shouted. I raised an eyebrow and he flinched slightly, pulling his legs to his chest.
"But I'd like to see you try..." He grimaced as he spoke and forced himself further into the headboard.
"Wrong choice Vik." I smirked and jumped on him, pinning his legs and arms down and tickling the living day lights out of him. He laughed hysterically and tried to push me off with his hands but failed. I was stronger than him. He'd laughed so much he was at the point of tears until he shouted for me to stop.
"STOP stop alright alright I'll tell you!!" He shouted. I stopped slowly and smirked at him.
"I'm sorry what was that?" I said sarcastically, putting my hand behind my ear to pretend like I didn't hear him. He pouted and looked away.
"I said, I'll tell you." He sighed and panted. I jumped off of him and he sat on the edge of the bed. He looked down.
"I'm breaking a promise here so you better not snitch on me." He pouted again, his eyes showing he was a bit upset that he was telling.
"But, we're doing something downstairs and Josh doesn't want you to see. You can't go downstairs yet, ok? Promise me." He said his words quickly but no so fast that I couldn't hear them. I raised my eyebrows, surprised.
"What's he doing downstairs?" I looked at Vik's door as I spoke. I got up and began to walk out the room but Vik stopped me by grabbing my arm.
"Abbie no please you have to wait an hour!" I yanked my arm from his grip and ran downstairs. What if he was doing something with 'someone else'? I shivered at the thought, tears pricking my eyes at the thought. I continued to run, not looking where I was going until I had bumped straight into someone in the garden. Something dropped from their hands and scattered to the ground. I dropped to the floor picking them up one by one. They were...flowers? The person in front of me gasped slightly and then sighed in disappointment. I continued to pick up the bouquet one by one and muttered the word "sorry" over and over. The person was speaking but to me the words were inaudible as emotions wrapped themselves around me. I stood up, the final flower in my hand and held them out. The person placed their hands on mine and softly pressed them back towards my chest. The person took my chin and tilted it up so I could look at them, only to see Josh dressed up all fancy and giving me a smile.
"Josh...?" I whispered, confused. He chuckled.
"You weren't supposed to see this yet until in was all set up. I suppose you forced it out of Vik." He chuckled again and I blushed, looking at the scene that he had been 'setting up'. I gasped and blushed even more. Flower petals had been scattered across the patio, the hedge had been covered in fairy lights and butterflies and was lit up. On the trees hung varying sizes and colours of mason jars containing small tea lights that made the area around them glow the colour of the jar. And in the centre of the garden, Simon and JJ were speedily setting up a small picnic blanket with a bottle of wine and some strawberries covered in chocolate (mmmmmmm...chocolate), Iris by Sleeping With Sirens playing softly in the background.
"Josh I," I started, not quite knowing what to say. It was beautiful.
"I didn't know you were such a cinnamon roll." I giggled. He laughed too and held his hand out to me. I took it quickly and he led me to the blanket, letting me sit down before taking the wine glasses from Vik who winked at me and smiled as if he knew that something was about to happen.

"What's going on Josh? You've set out this beautiful scene, you had the guys help and my husband is playing in the background," Josh looked up at me confused and cut me off.

"Your husband? What?" I giggled at him and how cute and protective he was getting. I put my hand on his. "Metaphorical husband babe. Kelvin Quinn is my metaphorical husband." He instantly relaxed and looked down, blushing from embarrassment. I looked up at the sky, watching as the clouds began to clear and the stars took hold of it. It had been a few minutes before I noticed that Josh was staring at me with that look he always had when he was checking me out. But this look had a little bit more to it. It was more of a look like an old man would give to his wife when he remembers his wedding day, remembers how beautiful she was in her dress.

"What's with the look? Enjoying the view?" I chuckled and posed with my hands on my hips. He looked me in the eye and grinned widely, a hint of anxiety in its corners. He picked me up bridal style and placed me in between two branches of a tree, the blue and purple mason jars illuminating the area surrounding us. He moved into me softly and looked down at me.

"Abbie. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever played eyes on and I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather speak these words to and spend my life with." He paused and reached into the pocket of his jacket to reveal and deep blue velvet ring box. He got down on one knee and opened the box. I gasped and clamped my hands over my mouth, tears ready to fall at the sight of the ring.

"And for that reason, Abbie...Will you be my wife?" He spoke slowly to ensure that every word was out. I nodded frantically and threw myself into his arms. "YES Oh my God yes!!" I squealed out of joy and squeezed him tight. He laughed and I could feel a couple of tears sink into my shoulder. "I love you Josh." I squeezed him slightly tighter, nuzzling my head into his and breathing in the scent of his cologne. "I love you too Mrs. Abbie Zerker." He smiled into my hair and rubbed my back gently.
