*~Chapter Two~*

I guess I'm back with a second chapter quite quickly. Again, I hope you all enjoy!

The song for this chapter is:
Light of the Seven- Ramin Djawadi

"Do you think you can walk now?" Y/N asked, hoping not to have to spend anymore time in the forest for reasons she wouldn't tell. Damian hadn't noticed her reluctance to stay, he was too focused on who she was, and why she was helping him still.

"I think I've got it." Came Damian's reply. Y/N carefully helped him up off the now flattened patch of grass, and he tentatively placed his weight on his own two feet.

Taking a feeble step forward, Damian winced as a sharp jolt of pain ran up his still injured legs. Quickly, Y/N was there to help him stay up. She shot him a worried look, and he replied with a determined one. One that said 'I'm going to do this, don't stop me'.

Uneasily, Y/N let him stand on his own again. This time, when Damian stepped forward, he ignored the pain that shot up from his lower leg. Before long, it became a dull ache in the back of his mind. He carried on walking with added confidence, regaining his usual behaviour.

For the past three days, Y/N had stayed with him. She had treated his legs and waited for them to heal, brought him food in the morning and evening, and carried him beneath the overhang during the rain. Damian was grateful, but he was still suspicious of how she could possibly know so much about him. Not many people knew he was Robin and Bruce was Batman, and the ones who do have enough loyalty to not give out their identities.

Throughout his nights in the forest, Damian hadn't found out much more about Y/N, only that she didn't have any family left, and that she had only recently come to Gotham. Damian had decided that this was why he wasn't aware of her existence.

"Perfect, I should escort you back to the Wayne Manor, for safety." Y/N assured, going back to support his back, but being dismissed with a glare.

"I'm fine on my own." He snapped, his blue eyes practically burning. Y/N knew how he was, and she knew he didn't mean it. It wasn't his fault he had trouble trusting people, his past proved how hard it was.

Deciding to address the situation with humour, Y/N replied, "Of course  you're same to walk all the way back to Gotham when you've been missing for more than three days and you're the son of Bruce Wayne. Let's not forget how you're also fifteen, the prime age for kidnappings. "

Damian's eyes narrowed, considering his options. He could either go on his own and loose someone who had shown extraordinary kindness to him, or allow her to come along and have to explain to Bruce how she knew so much about their 'Extra-Curricular Activities'.

"Fine. You can come." He finally decided.

Y/N smiled at this, hiding her worried emotions. She would have to go with him now, there was no excuse.

The two carried on past the different shades of brown and green in the forest, and engaged in small talk. Y/N kept the topics of certain things, like where she came from. Every time Damian brought up her home, she discreetly dismissed it.

"-So that's why I stole Todd's helmet," He finished, taking back Y/N's full attention, "of course, he's tried to get it back. But he never wins." Damian puffed out his chest in victory.

"Nice!" Y/N replied, giggling. She guessed that that was what people around there said. The word itself sounded like it had never come out of her mouth before.

"L/N," he started, his tone becoming slightly more serious, "why won't you tell me where you're from?"

To this, Y/N's heartbeat increased. If she told him the truth, all his trust in her would be gone. She couldn't be disrespectful toward him, it would be breaking at least twenty rules.

"Because I wouldn't want to go back." She decided to reply veraciously.

Damian gave a doubting look, before concluding that this would be all he would get from her and going to walking in silence.

The noiselessness was slowly eating away at Damian, so he decided to break it.

"You are going to come and live with me, L/N. Father should allow it."

Y/N glanced toward Damian, with her mouth slightly agape. What was she meant to say to that?

"I- Pr- Damian, I wouldn't wish to be a burden upon you."

"Nonsense, L/N. You said yourself you don't want to go back to your home, what better way than to live in the Wayne Manor? We are not discussing, my answer is final."

The tone in his voice made Y/N flinch, it wasn't noticeable though. It reminded her of the tone of voice people used back home.

Finally, she sighed, realising there was no way out of what she's got herself into.
