Valentine's Day. It used to mean a lot to me. It was a day were the love of my life and I could spend together all day. At least that's what we used to do. A couple of weeks ago I had planned to propose to Nora Valkyrie. Yes the "Let's break their legs!" girl and Ren's best friend. If only I knew at the time.

Flashback

"Mom are you sure? This is your ring and a memory of dad." Usually my mother was very protective over it, but it felt wrong for her to give it to me. "Of course. Y/N, you love this girl right? If you do then this is the perfect gift for her. Besides your father would have wanted you to do the same." I gave mom a hug and said goodbye as I left to propose to my number one girl. Besides my mother of course.

Time Skip

"Nora will you make me the happiest man on Remnant and marry me? No that's to cliché. It is a classic though." I looked like a complete idiot talking to myself, but this was more of a pep talk. As I kept walking I saw Jaune and Pyrrha walking together. Those two lovebirds. They seemed surprised to see me, but I didn't question it "Y/N? I thought you were in the dorm with Nora. She said that you two wanted time alone." I raised an eyebrow "What are you talking about? I haven't talked to Nora yet. I was planning on keeping this a surprise, but I wanted to propose to her." Pyrrha squealed and said "Oh my Oum! You're finally gonna tie the knot!" Jaune just sighed "He said a surprise Pyr." She blushed and gave a quick sorry.

Deciding to join in on my adventure we made our way to their dorm while Pyrrha wouldn't stop talking about marriage. Seriously Jaune just take the knee already. As soon as Jaune opened the door we saw something that made my heart stop, Pyrrha gasp, and Jaune's eye to twitch. Ren had been giving it to Nora, but once they saw us their eyes were like a deer seeing headlights. Nobody said a word, but that didn't stop the tears from coming. "Why? Why would you do this Nora?" She tried to scramble out of bed, but one movement made her moan. I... see. I turned to leave, but stopped when I saw that RWBY's door was open and they saw everything.

End Flashback

As I gazed upon the moon I found a couple similarities. We were both broken. I heard a couple of footsteps behind me and sighed "If you came looking for a fight then you should know that I'm not in the best mood." I turned my head, but saw Blake who gave me a look of concern. "Oh, it's you Blake. If you came to check on me then I'll let you know that I'm fine."

Blake POV

Hearing some of the cracks on his voice gave me more reasons to punch Nora's teeth in. "Yang told me that lying isn't good for you. Now I'm telling you the same thing." I sat beside him while tried his best to give me a smile "Really, I'm fine." I got closer to him and he shook his head "L-Look I'm telling you that I'm... I'm... I'm not okay." He looked down while his tears dropped on the ground. I held him close to me while he cried and said "It's okay Y/N we're here for you. All of us. What Nora did was horrible and someone as great as you shouldn't have gone through that. If she won't take you then I know a girl who's been dying to be with you." We departed and he wiped the tears away "Who?" I smiled "Me."

Y/N POV

"I... I'm sorry, I didn't know." She just kept smiling "I know that it was hard to tell since I'm usually distant, but I really do love you. You always do your best to help everyone out no matter if they're a faunus or human. You put you life on the line for people you don't know and you are always willing to give enemies a second chance. (Talk no jutsu! A protagonists greatest skill!) I was devastated when I heard that you and Nora were dating, but I was happy that you found someone." She looked away, but then I gained the urge to pull her lightly by her chin, and so I did. As I did it Blake gained a blush on her face, but didn't fight what I was doing "Let me correct my mistake then." Our lips soon touched and so begins the relationship between Blake and I.
