JI-TAE’S POV.

“Sir, there’s someone here to see you. She claims to be your friend, shall I send her in?”

“Sure, send her in please.” There was a knock on the door. I turned around to see who it was. it was…

“Park si-yeon ahh!!”

“Ji-tae ahh!!”

We both ran towards each other and hugged tightly. Gosh I missed her a lot. We were friends from school days, we were always together like partner in crime. We always did everything together and have loads of fun. Those old days are golden. We both pulled off and I guided her to sit.

“Si-yeon ahh, how have you been? It’s been a long time since we met.

“It has indeed been a long time Ji-tae ahh, I missed us being together. Between how is your work going on? How is your Appa and Dada?”

“Work is so tiring as usual, Appa and Dada are doing fine. What about your -father and Dad?”

When I mentioned about her parents, her face frowned with sadness.

“Si-yeon ahh, what happened?”

“I’m here to talk about them Ji-tae ahh.”

“What happened to them? how is uncle Jimin and uncle Yoongi doing?”

“My father Jimin is not happy at all ji-tae ahh. And also, my dad Yoongi is not like before. It’s been years since my father Jimin has been happy.”

“I’ve known uncle Jimin for years and also his husband uncle Yoongi. Even though I don’t know uncle Yoongi personally. I’ve known uncle Jimin very well. He is such a kind man and so down to earth. I’ve always admired him.”

“I’m suspecting my dad Yoongi, Ji-tae ahh. I think he is doing something behind us. I think he is cheating on my father Jimin.”

“What are you talking about si-yeon ahh? Do you really think uncle Yoongi is cheating on uncle Jimin?”

“Yes, I really do think Ji-tae ahh, that’s why I’m here to ask for your help. I want you to help me with this.”

“I’m always ready to help you si-yeon ahh. Do you wanna file official complaint for this?”

“Official? No way I would do that. I want you to handle this case for me personally, without filing any case. I want you to investigate this personally and tell me what is going on between them. That is all I’m asking you, please for me and my father.”

“Will you do this for me ji-tae ahh?”

She asked me with lots of hope in her eyes. How could I say no I will not do it? I want her and uncle Jimin to be happy. Always. I’m gonna do this for her and uncle Jimin. I will.

“I will do this for you guys. I promise to find all the truth and reveal what is happening between them.”

“Thank you so much ji-tae ahh, I will never ever forget this, thank you for doing this for us. Father deserves to be happy ji-tae ahh, I really do want him to be happy. I think coming to you is my best decision ever. Please do it with your whole heart ji-tae ahh, I trust you.”

“I will never break your trust si-yeon ahh. I will do justice for you and to your father. Don’t worry. Just sit back and relax. I will take care of the rest.”

“I can relax because it is you who is handling my problems. Don’t tell this to anyone not even to you Appa and to your Dada. I don’t want them to know what is happening here.”

“I won’t si-yeon ahh, my Appa doesn’t know you. He just knows that I have a friend like you. Also, uncle Jimin and my Appa doesn’t know each other. And my Dada doesn’t know you and uncle Jimin. He knows uncle Yoongi as they both are working in the same college. It is only me and Jae-Kuk hyung who know you and your father very well. So that won’t be a problem ok. Relax.” 

“That’s a relief ji-tae ahh. Don’t let your Dada know any of this issue. Take care of this.”

“I will si-yeon ahh. Don’t worry.”

“Ok then ji-tae ahh, I will leave now. I have so many works to do. Call me once you are done with this case. I will be available.”

“Ok si-yeon ahh, take care and relax your mind and body. This problem is in my hands now. I will take care of it. Go and take care of your father Jimin and be there for him. I will deal with other things in here.”

With that we both left my office and went with her send her off. We hugged and waved our hands; she went in the opposite direction leaving my police station. I was just standing there watching her leave until her sight left my eyes.

I looked up to the sky and sighed.

It’s been a long time since I did some detective works, this is gonna be one hell of a ride.
