"Seriously? You gave wrong medication to the patient? How can you be so careless!!! Don't you know how risky it is? Stabilize him. Check on his vitals and hold him right. I'm on my way."

"Jae-kuk ahh, what happened? You seem to be in rush." Taehyung asked him with tension laced in his voice.

"Appa, my resident in cardiothoracic department gave wrong medication to our patient. You know the consequences Appa. If he dies because of this, me and my whole team along with my residents will be sued forever and our hospital will get a bad name".

"Your department is such a dying field Jae-kuk ahh, your resident should've been careful. What did he study all these years? He is so careless. The hospital and the family will press charges against you and him if he dies. I hope he'll survive". Taehyung said patting his elder son's shoulder to calm him down.

"Appa, you are all dressed up. Going somewhere?"

"Yes Jae-kuk ahh, I'm heading to the hospital too. My sweet little patient is sick again, she's been vomiting continuously. She is diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis. Her vomiting is forceful, it becomes projectile and shoots up. She is just 2 years old, poor baby she is undergoing so much pain". Taehyung said with glistening eyes.

"Appa, she'll be fine. And you being pediatric department chief, things will be hard for you too, right? even though your patients are kids, when you see them struggling with dreadful diseases and suffering from chronic diseases will make you sad right?"

"Yes Jae-kuk ahh, it's very hard to see them struggling and their parents having lots of hopes on us that we will cure their child is very dreadful even to imagine it."

"Appa, we both are chiefs in our departments and we should do our best for our patients who have lots of faith and hope on us." Jae-kuk said softly helping Taehyung to relax.

"Let's go together Appa, we are working in the same hospital anyway. We have to reach hospital soon, or else my patient's condition will be even more critical."

"Ok Jae-kuk ahh, let's hurry up." With that they both left their house, and rushed to hospital.

ON THE OTHER SIDE.

"Dada, what are doing here? Shouldn't you be at university now?" asked Ji-tae. Taehyung and Jungkook's youngest son.

"Why Ji-tae ahh, shouldn't I come and see you?" asked Jungkook slightly disappointed.

"Dada, you can come and see me, but at police station?"

"Ji-tae ahh, it's been two days since you came home. I can understand that you are piled up with cases and stuffs. I do agree being Inspector General of police is not easy. But you should also come and visit your parents and your hyung."

"Dada, I do wanna spend some time with you guys. But I can't let go of my work. I'll try my best to make some time for you guys." Ji-tae said holding Jungkook's hands tightly giving him soft smile.

"I miss you, Appa and Hyung a lot. I'll be back as soon as possible Dada." Their conversation is interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Sir, the one who raped and murdered miss. Haneul has surrendered himself just now. I'd wish you to come and interrogate him". Said the detective.

"Ok then, I'll be there within 5 mins. Do the necessary formalities and file FIR. Also, fix voice recorder and cameras all around the interrogation room. Be prepared." With that the detective left bowing to both of them.

"I can see you are busy, go on Ji-tae ahh continue with your interrogation. I'll leave now."

"Ok Dada, drive safe and be careful. And call me if something comes up. I'll be there for you." Ji-tae rises from his chair and hugs Jungkook tightly crushing his bones. Like father, like son.

AT HOSPITAL.

JAE-KUK POV.

"It's all done now, he'll be fine after sometime. I've given him some sleeping dosage. Let him rest well".

"Also, Yoon Seok, you should not repeat this mistake never again. Today it was your luck. What if he died because of your carelessness? You are resident in my department. You are practicing right? medical errors do happen; I don't say it doesn't. Make sure that you understand how to handle medications and emergency situations. Each and every life that comes here for our help and service is very important and valuable. Don't forget it". He bowed and left to attend patients.

I'm so exhausted, I wanna go and check on Appa. It's 3:39 am, I grabbed some sandwiches and banana milk and strode off to pediatric department.

There I went into Appa's office and found that he's not there and so I decided to wait in his office. I set down the food and went towards his shelves and awards scanning each and everything patiently. No matter how many times I come to his office and see these stuffs. It always makes me to be so proud of him. I'm so lucky to have him as my father. The love he has for kids and children are impeccable. Such a kind hearted person he is.

He has never ever raised his voice at us, he really took great care of us, even till now. We have never seen his anger or temper, we don't know how it'll be, and I never wish to see him like that. I was so drowned in my thoughts that I didn't see Appa standing right behind me looking at me with soft eyes.

"Jae-kuk ahh, what happened you've been zoning out? I was standing right beside you for past 5 mins and you didn't notice me?"

"Ahh Appa, it's nothing I came here to check on you and to have some break with you. Here have this". I gave him sandwiches and banana milk.

"Tell me Appa how is your sweet little patient doing now?"

"She is doing fine Jae-kuk, there's no problem with her, she was vomiting severely her stomach was bloated up making it more painful for her, so I drained her abdominal water and put her to sleep by giving some sleeping dosage."

"She will be fine right?"

"She will be, she should be, she's a brave strong girl. She'll recover soon. Don't worry."

"Ok Appa, how are things going with Dada? And you both rarely stay at home. If you are home, he won't be there. If he is home, you won't be there. Is Dada even missing you? And do you miss him?"

"I miss him too Jae-kuk ahh."

"Then what about Dada? Does he even call you and talk to you? And say that he misses you? Does he even ask have you eaten?" I saw Appa's face frowning with sadness.

"APPA, ARE YOU EVEN HAPPY WITH DADA?"
