Shopping. You either love it or you..... well, love it. I mean, who doesn't get excited by boxing day sales, the prospect of a new pair of shoes and the potential to absolutely assassinate your life savings accounts in a matter of hours?

In saying that, like anything, although shopping comes with its multitude of perks, it also has a couple of teeny weeny hiccups...

Okay, so the first not-so-great thing about shopping is the serious overpricing of 99% of all retail stuff. Clothing, shoes, accessories, your grandmother's donkey.... you name it, all of it is completely out of my budget range. I mean, nothing is worse than the feeling you get when you fall head over heels for the most perfect pair of heeled leather boots..... and then you take a quick glance at the price tag. Now, I'm just going to put out a spoiler alert here. My reaction probably isn't too pretty, at least eleven times out of ten.

Oh and what to spend your money on is the next big confusion bubble. I don't know about anyone else, but when I go out on a shopping day, I generally have a solid break-up of what my money is going to be spent on. But, this all goes to metaphorical poop when I realise the pair of jeans that I've been eyeing have suddenly become more expensive than the Kardashian's hotel suite and when I am simultaneously made aware of the fact that Taco Bell has introduced a new 2 for 1 burrito special. Yep, by the end of the day a solid 80% of my money has been spent on multiple lunches, chocolate and a whole bunch of snacks which any qualified cardiologist would probably not recommend for frequent public consumption. And the other 20% was totally blown in the first 5 minutes or so of browsing. Boy, how my shopping habits have changed since the good ol' piggy bank days....

And before anyone tells me that the 42 shopping bags I just brought home are a complete and total waste of my money, can I just remind y'all that Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life. (So 42 new pairs must absolutely revolutionise it. I think my upgrade is just pending right now....)
