Vanisher

The next morning you were rifling through you fridge in search of something to eat for breakfast. You didn't want to bother Natalie with preparing a full breakfast, so you decided to toast some of the frozen waffles.

After popping them in the toaster you began looking through the fridge once again just as Adrien came in. He took a quick moment to appreciate the way you looked in your tank top and pajama shorts.

"Morning," he cooed, as though daydreaming. You turned to look at him with a raised brow.

"Morning, Adrien..." you smirked. "What's got you so cheery?" You continued searching. He sat down at the kitchen island and you pulled out two more frozen waffles for him.

He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "Just had a good night's sleep is all."

You rolled your eyes. "Seems more like you're thinking about a girl." You put your hands on your hips. "Hey? Do you know where all the strawberries went?" You turned around to look at him, but he quickly shook his head. "Thats so weird," you said, closing the doors to the fridge. "I thought we had a brand new carton." You shook your head, "but anyway- who's got you blushing like that? Is it a girl in our class?"

"No, it's nothing like that," he lied. "Why don't you tell me about you not-so-secret date last night?"

You blushed and turned away from him. "I really try to be quiet, Adrien."

"I don't mind at all," he said, getting up next to you at the fridge to grab the milk. Without him needing to ask you handed it to him. He then went to the pantry to grab a box of cereal. "I can have Nathalie go out for some more."

You waved your hand in front of you. "It's no big deal, I'll just eat them with syrup and blueberries.

Adrien sat down with his bowl of cereal Trésor and began eating. Normally a large, nutritious breakfast would be cooked for the two of you. But Adrien told his dad he actually enjoyed eating cereal or frozen pancakes with you. It made him feel like a normal teenager. "I... uh... finished the blueberries last night, too," Adrien told you through a mouthful of cereal.

You rolled your eyes playfully. "I give up," you joked. You grabbed a bottle of syrup just as your waffles pooped up. You grabbed them and quickly threw them on your plate before they burned your fingers.

You took a seat next to Adrien and he looked at you expectantly. "Tell me about your night, (Y/N)."

Later on in the week you were listening to Ms. Mendeleiev teaching when you looked over and saw Chloe was looking pretty rough. Ever since the cooking competition she seemed more quiet than usual.

The only time she was back to her usual self was when Marinette was paired with Adrien for the video game competition, which she said was unacceptable.

"Whoa, look at Chloé," you heard Marinette say behind you. She was talking to Alya, but you answered anyways.

"I feel pretty bad for her." Chloé looked exhausted. Her hair was disheveled and she had dark bags under her eyes as though she hadn't been sleeping well.

"Don't, (Y/N), that girl's a total rag," Alya muttered, rolling her eyes.

"Maybe she's missing her BFF?" Marinette suggested just as Adrien gave you a gentle pat on the thigh, signaling you to pay attention before you got into trouble. You turned back in your seat to face the board just as Ms. Mendeleiev turned from writing on the chalk board and shushed the two girls behind you.

"Ow!" Chloé yelled out suddenly, jumping out from her chair.

"What is it, Chloé?" Ms. Mendeleiev crossed her arms in front of her chest.

Chloe rubbed her head tenderly, pouting her lips. "Someone pulled my hair!"

Ms. Mendeleiev looked over to Mylène, who was sitting right behind Chloé. Mylene shook her head defensively. "I didn't do it, Ms. M."

"It wasn't her," Chloe agreed. "It's-it's some invisible mystical being. Like a leprechaun. Or a unicorn without the horn."

Everyone began laughing at Chloe. But you furrowed your brow thoughtfully. You shot your hand up in the air, telling Ms. Mendeleiev you were feeling sick and taking off before she said anything back to you.

You got to the empty girl's bathroom and shut the door to the stall. Vladd flew out of your jacket pocket and floated in front of you. "What's going on?" He asked, sleepily.

"There's an invisible being tormenting Chloé. I bet you it's an alumatized person. Vladd, ears out!"

You met up with Chat Noir outside of La Grande Paris. Ladybug hadn't made it yet, so you both took a moment to evaluate the situation.

"What do you know?" You asked.

"Someone's messing with Chloé Bourgeois, but I'm not sure who." He turned to face you. His brow was furrowed and his eyes were serious. "I think we should talk to the butler." You nodded in agreement.

Once Ladubug arrived the three of you went into the lobby to talk to Armand, Chloé's butler, who explained the falling out Chloé and Sabrina had the day before.

"Sabrina must have been akumatized," you said. Chat Noir nodded in agreement. Ladybug thanked Armand and he left.

As he left, Chat Noir grabbed a rose from the large vase  sitting on a round table in the middle of the lobby. For a moment your heart sank as you thought he was going to hand it yo Ladybug.

But instead, he spun around and handed it to you. "It's not gonna be easy to find someone we can't see," he muttered as he presented it to you.

You took it gingerly, smiling as you shook your head. "Don't you have a girlfriend, Kitten?"

He nodded cheekily. "I do, but the rose isn't meant to be romantic," he told you. His eyes lingered on yours for a moment longer.

You turned away, blushing and began refocusing on the issue at hand. "We'll just have to wait for her to find us. Eventually she'll get tired of waiting." You set the rose down on the table and faced Ladybug as she began speaking.

"And we do have an advantage, she doesn't know we're onto her."

Ladybug's eyebrows rose and she looked at the ground past your feet. You turned around to see the rose on the floor. You silently caught Ladybug and Chat Noir's eyes. They gave you the smallest of nods.

"Look out Ladybug!" Chat Noir shouted. He lunged forward to Ladybug, pushing her out of the way. You all turned your backs to each other, forming a circle to protect you from Vanisher.

You began to fight in whatever area you could see movement. Most of your attacks didn't land on anything.

Beside you, Ladybug called out her lucky charm and a small bottle of pink glitter dropped into her hands. "How handy."

"Are we taking a break to do arts and crafts?" you joked.

"I didn't bring my glue gun," Chat Noir replied.

Ladybug rolled her eyes playfully. "No, this is--"

Chloe appeared at the top of the stairs wearing her Ladybug costume. It was well-made, but she didn't look enough like Ladybug to justify Jagged Stone believing it was really her. "Looking for me Sabrina? I'm right here, come on!"

You clenched your teeth together. This couldn't be happening. Sabrina was already mad at Chloe, doing this was putting herself in danger.

"Oh no, seriously?" Ladybug huffed under her breath.

You turned to Chloe, "you need to leave!" you told her urgently. But she wouldn't listen.

Instead she tried speaking directly to Sabrina herself. "If you stop this ridiculousness right now, I might let you be my BFF again."

You knew Chloé's shallow offer of friendship would mean very little to Sabrina right now, but Chloe didn't seem to fully comprehend.

Books started floating in the air for a moment, before getting launched at Chloe. She shrieked and ducked behind you as you used your nunchucks to hit the books away. Ladybug and Chat Noir used the opportunity to zone in on Vanisher's location.

"You've got no friends left, Chloé," Vanisher cackled. "And you'll never have any, EVER again. I'll make sure of that."

"Hurry it up, guys!" you barked as you ducked underneath a book right before it hit you in the head at the same moment you swatted away a book about to hit Chloe in the stomach.

"You don't scare me!" Chloe shouted out to seemingly nothing.
"If youre not scared why are you hiding behind Batwing?" Vanisher taunted.

"This isn't a game, Chloé," Ladybug said, clearly exasperated. Suddenly, an invisible force caught Ladybug from behind and restrained her in place. You knew it was only a matter of seconds until Vanisher would reach for her Miraculous.

Ladybug smirked to herself, "Kitty, catch!" She threw the jar of glitter to Chat Noir, who barely turned around in time to catch it.

He looked at her with expectantly eyes, as if waiting for instruction. But when Ladybug didn't give it to him you watched as his eyes darted all over the room. Finally, a light sparked in his eyes and he uncapped the jar, throwing it behind Ladybug so that it covered Vanished completely.

"Just because you can see me, doesn't mean you'll defeat me Ladybug!"

You pushed Chloe to Ladybug, who took her behind one of the many pillars of the lobby. Ladybug ordered Chloe to stay put, but she clearly wouldn't listen.

"This concerns me too, you know!" Chloe grumbled.

You ignored her. If you spent too much time focusing on Chloe, you would begin to stumble while fight Vanisher.

"We just have to destroy her bag and capture the akuma," Ladybug instructed you and Chat Noir. You stood beside each other and nodded. Preparing your weapons. The rest of the plan was written in your eyes. Chat Noir would distract Vanisher while you and Ladybug split up, each taking a shot at capturing the bag. Whoever grabbed it would tear it and Ladybug would purify the akuma.

"Wait, Ladybug!" Chloé poked her head from around the pillar. "I don't think that's where the akuma is. The akuma has to be in the designer pin I bought her. She's wearing it on her sweater. Such an unfortunate ugly sweater. It was a gift from me." She spun her imitation Ladybug yo-yo around her finger, but the string came loose and the yo-yo cracked against the top of her head.

"I won't tell you again Chloé, so listen up," Ladybug snarled. She threw her own yo-yo around Chloe and released her into the elevator. "You need to leave! You're putting yourself in great danger and us too. Got it?" Ladybug pressed the elevator buttons and the doors began to close.

Chloe yelled out, begging for Chloé to take her seriously. But the doors closed in front of her, drowning out her cries.

"Whoo, that's better."

"What if she was right?" you asked Ladybug.

Ladybug snorted. "Please, I know more about akumas than Chloe."

"But she knows more about Sabrina than you do."

Ladybug rolled her eyes, advising you to stay focused on the bag.

You nodded your head, but you cast a look at Chat Noir who was already looking at you. He gave you a sly wink that made your heart flutter.

This time, while Chat Noir distracted Vanisher and Ladybug went for the bag, you reached for the pin off of Vanisher's sweater.

"Your days are over akuma!" Ladybug ripped the bag open. "Huh?" She looked down at the torn bag in her hands and frowned.

Then she looked over to you holding the pin in your hands. You dropped in to the ground and stomped on it. It broke in half and an inky akuma fluttered upward.

"No more evil doing for you little akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug captured the akuma in her yo-yo and released it, once again pure white. "Bye, bye little butterfly."

"Optimal Revamp!" you called out after. The swarm of bats flew through and began to repair the lobby, removing the glitter and fixing the broken furniture.

Sabrina had fallen to her knees, but Chat Noir was already helping her stand up.

"Uh, wh-what happened?" She held her head in her hands and looked around. "What am I doing here?" She looked down at the ground, her eyes falling on the pin. "Oh no! It's the brooch Chloé gave me!" She picked it up off the floor and held it carefully in her cupped hands.

Ladybug triumphantly held out her fist to you and Chat Noir, but you both stood next to each other. You shared a quick glance then looked back at Ladybug in disbelief.

"Why didn't you listen to Chloé?" Chat Noir asked. "She was only trying to help."

You nodded. "Yeah, and it made sense."

"First, because that girl put us in danger. And second, she completely lied to us earlier. I was not gonna listen to a liar."

"I don't think Chloé intentionally lied," you admitted. "I thinj she genuinely doesn't believe Sabrina could ever be mad at her."

The three of you left the hotel through the main entrance, a large crowd of reporters gathering around you.

"Coming to you live from the hotel where Ladybug and Cat Noir have just defeated Vanisher. Here they are now."

Ladybug smiled and waved to the crowd. Chat Noir turned to look at you, he took your hand in his and looked down at your ring. He looked back to you and motioned for you to get away from the crowd before you detransformed.

You smiled and took off as the crowd began cheering for Ladybug.

A/N: It's 2am and I just got off of work. I came straight home and finished it up. Sorry for the delay.
