Ch- 4 One Dance

Jungkook's pov

The week passed quickly. Kwan was placed on office duties for two weeks as punishment for his little stunt that he pulled, so that made me feel slightly better. There wasn't really much they could do about him though; apparently, a warning had been put on his file this time and next time he messed up he'd be transferred to a team that was not as field based as us. Personally, I was now willing him to screw up again just so he'd be out of my hair.

Today was Saturday, Seth's birthday, so we were all heading out to celebrate. I was actually looking forward to it because I'd been working hard all week, so this was going to be the first chance I'd had to let off some steam. And Yoongi hyung was coming out, much to my surprise. He'd initially cancelled after Sehun was born, but later called back to say that Jimin was making him go and had made secret arrangements for another guard to come and take over his guard duty for the night. He didn't sound best pleased about it.

As I stood outside their apartment, watching as Yoongi kissed Jimin goodbye and whispered words that made him smile, I cleared my throat loudly. "Can you at least wait for a time when I'm not here? You know seeing that kind of thing makes me sick." I coughed dramatically, pretending to gag. I needed a drink, not to stand here watching them behave like lovesick puppies.

Jimin laughed and pushed Yoongi away from him. "Don't make him sick on the carpet," he joked.

I nodded in agreement and folded my arms across my chest. "Hyung, get your shit together, your man wants the apartment to himself for the night, and we're wasting valuable drinking time," I suggested.

He groaned, looking from me to Byun, the secret service guard that had been sourced in tonight to look after Jimin and Sehun in his absence.

"I don't actually want to go," he muttered.

Jimin sighed and gave him the puppy dog face; right then and there I knew he was done for. I'd never seen him not get his own way, Yoongi was putty in his hands, and they both knew it. He stepped closer to him and gripped the front of his shirt, playing with the neck of it teasingly with his finger.

"Just go out with your boys. Sibu and me will be fine, and you need to have some fun. You're too tense, Hub." He turned to me and smiled. "Make sure he has a nice time tonight, okay?"

"I'm gonna get him trashed," I confirmed, ignoring Yoongi's protests.

Jimin pointed at the open front door. "You two boys get the hell out and don't come back until you're good and drunk."

It took another couple of minutes for Yoongi to finally leave Jimin and his newborn son in the capable hands of the other guard. As I watched him talking sternly to Byun about what to do if there was an emergency, I silently wondered if I would ever get to the point where I was so concerned about someone else's safety that I would put their happiness above my own.

I actually didn't hold out much hope for it; after all, there couldn't be two guys that were as incredible as Jimin in the world. My mind flitted to Taehyung again - it had been doing that a lot recently and it was driving me crazy. Tonight though, I vowed only to think of two things: alcohol and sex. I refused to let Taehyung and his beautiful smile invade my dreams tonight again while I slept alone.

By the time we arrived at the bar, Seth was already drunk. He was leaning on the bar heavily, doing shots with our other two close friends Woon-hyun and Ryan. As we approached the bar, I put in an order for eight shots of tequila, watching as Yoongi frowned and groaned. "Jiminie told me I had to get you drunk tonight so he could take advantage of you." I laughed.

He shrugged. "He'd do that anyway whether I'm drunk or not."

"Yeah, but he said if I get you really wasted that he'd take advantage of me too, so I'm gonna get you so drunk that I have to carry you home and then I'm gonna have me some fun with your wife." I smiled teasingly making him laugh. He knew I was joking, the idea of Jimin being with anyone but him was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard. When the drinks were made I passed one to the other four guys, pushing two towards Yoongi and keeping two for myself.

"We need to catch up," I explained to his horrified face. "On three."

After we'd had a few drinks, we were all standing around talking and laughing. I felt a little tipsy, but not drunk yet. When a group breezed past us, Yoongi reached out, grabbing one of the guy hands, pulling him to a stop.

The boy turned quickly. "Hey!" he cried angrily, tugging his hand out of Yoongi's grip. My breath caught in my throat at the sight of him. It was him; the boy I'd been thinking about for the last five days; the only man that had ever turned me down flat. His face softened immediately as he looked up at my best friend.

"Oh, Hyung! Sorry, I didn't realise it was you." He stepped forward, hugging him affectionately.

"Hey, Tae, what are you doing here? I thought you were going for dinner tonight with your sister." He looked over his shoulder and smiled at the other person that were with him.

"Yeah, we went for dinner, but then they wanted to come dancing."

His eyes flicked to me for a second but held no recognition whatsoever. I recoiled. He didn't even recognize me? I must have made even less of an impression than I thought!

"So where's Han tonight?" Yoongi asked.

Taehyung's eyes softened at the mention of his name. My interest was instantly piqued. Was Han the guy he was seeing that he was in love with?

"He's still in Daegu. He'll be coming here on Tuesday once I've got everything sorted." He smiled happily.

As he spoke, my eyes roamed over him. He looked incredible tonight. When I'd seen him at the hospital, I thought he looked beautiful in a simple pair of jeans and sneakers; now though, he was dressed to kill. The tight black pants that he wore made his legs look perfectly slim and long. His dark blue silk shirt that hung over his shoulders, was fairly loose but still look perfect on him. His hair was down tonight and was in loose waves. Every single inch of him was making my mouth water, and I was racking my brains thinking of the best line I could think of to use on him. I had another shot tonight to make him forget his man, and I was certainly set on taking it.

"How's the new place? Jimin said you were settling in okay," Yoongi queried.

He's moved already? Hmm, that's news to me! Wonder why Jimin and Yoongi haven't told me that little tit bit of information.

"It's okay, it's weird being here, but I'm looking forward to starting work on Monday," Taehyung replied. One of his friends touched his arm and I heard him say something about wanting to dance. His friend glanced at Yoongi shyly; His eyes drifted down Yoongi's body with an appreciative bite of his lip - but, as usual, he was completely oblivious to the attention. Since he'd gotten with Jimin, it was almost as if he didn't even see other guys or girls anymore.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. You're still coming over for dinner?" Yoongi asked curiously.

He's going to their place for dinner tomorrow? Well this just gets better and better, maybe I'll invite myself over too...

"Definitely" he answered, leaning in and hugging him again. "See you then hyung."

As he turned to walk off Yoongi called his name, making him stop for a second time. "If you get in any trouble tonight and need any help then I'll be here for a little while. When I go, you can still come to my friends, okay?" he said sternly.

Taehyung's eyes darted to me again, and I had time to smile this time before he looked away. "I have a feeling your friends are the trouble I'd need help with." He winked at him and walked off through the crowd.

I stared after him in shock. I must have seriously lost my mojo - or was it just him? A quick experiment would tell. I turned to the nearest girl and smiled seductively. "Hi, I'm Mr Right. I heard you were looking for me," I stated confidently. She giggled and blushed, nudging her friend. My whole body relaxed at her reaction. Clearly it was just Taehyung that had no interest in me. Again, I wondered if the beautiful little brunette was straight.

The girl I had used the pick-up line on was talking to me, but I wasn't interested in her. I was too busy looking through the crowd, watching Taehyung shake his little ass on the dance floor. I stared after him in shock, then with more than a hint of lust as he started to dance. I groaned and turned back to Yoongi, ignoring the girl who was trying to get my attention.

"What's the deal with him? He's not interested in me at all!" I complained.

He laughed and gripped my shoulder, squeezing gently. "He's not your type, Kook. Let it go." He pushed me towards the bar again, shaking his head.

"Why not? Come on he's a human, he's my type," I countered, crossing my arms over my chest. The guy was seriously denting my ego.

"Jungkook, Taehyung is Jimin's best friend more like his soulmate and he's an incredible person and I too think of him as my little brother. He doesn't deserve you dicking him around and using him. Let it go," he replied.

I sighed and frowned. I could understand him not wanting me to hurt Jimin's friend, of course, but it was freaking annoying being told I wasn't allowed to pursue him.

I desperately wanted to sleep with him. In a way, I needed to. There was an awful nagging sensation in the back of my head that told me that he would be playing on my mind for a long time if didn't. I didn't want to be imagining what it would be like to run my tongue down his body, I wanted to do it - maybe then I'd realise that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I only wanted him because he didn't want me, at least, I hoped that was the reason I wanted him. It scared me a little just how much I longed for him.

I was a player, my instincts were telling me to grab the nearest girl or guy and take her/him out the back for some fun... but my eyes wouldn't stop looking through the crowd for Taehyung.

I forced my eyes away and looked at Yoongi. "So you're saying I can't go over there and dance with him?"

"That's what I'm saying. Go find some other girl or boy and leave Jimin's friend alone."

Cock blocked, damn. I nodded reluctantly.

Drinking games started not long after Yoongi forbade me from hitting on Jimin's friend. All the time we were standing there, I tried desperately not to look at him, but I couldn't keep my eyes in check. Every few minutes I'd glance over, watching him dance or laugh with his friends. I decided that he looked adorable when he laughed. His nose crinkled and his eyes shone.

After another hour, Yoongi bailed out. He actually lasted longer than I thought he would. "I'm leaving. Have a good night, and happy birthday, Seth," he said, smiling apologetically.

"Min, you're a lightweight!" Seth scolded, shaking his head in disapproval.

Yoongi shrugged unashamedly. "Maybe, but when you have a little hottie waiting for you at home and a baby that you know is going to wake you up early in the morning, you'll be a lightweight too." He turned to me and gave me a quick man-hug. "See you in the week, yeah?"

"Sure, buddy. Maybe I'll pop by tomorrow. I'm not working so I could come hang out or something," I suggested, trying to look innocent so he wouldn't know I was going there to see Taehyung.

He saw straight through me though, a knowing smile on his lips as he rolled his eyes. "Right, well then I'll see you tomorrow."

As soon as he walked off, my whole body was trying to force me to go and find Taehyung. I was fighting it the best I could though. I knew he was right; this was Jimin's friend, and I would probably see him a lot so I couldn't exactly ruin everything and make it awkward for us to be in the same room.

After a few more drinks though, I completely forgot the reason I was supposed to be staying away from him. As he walked past me with one of his friend and headed to the bar, leaning on it and waiting to be served, I grinned and followed. My eyes were glued to his behind the whole time.

I leant on the bar next to him. "Hey, muffin," I greeted.

He smiled. "Jungkook, we meet again."

"So, are you gonna let me buy you a drink?"

His friend was completely checking me out. If I wanted to, I could have him, I knew that, but the annoying thing was, I didn't want him. The one I wanted was smirking back at me looking so sexy in his tight black slacks looking at which I could barely suppress the urge to wrap my arm around him and crush his body against mine.

"Why's that? Gonna put some drug in there to help your chances of this latest flirting session working out in your favour?" Taehyung replied cockily, playfully bumping my side with his.

"It does look like drugging you is the only way I'm going to get you into bed," I confirmed, playing along.

When the barman stopped in front of him, checking him out while he rattled off his order, Taehyung didn't even seem to notice his flirting. I puffed out my chest, happy that it wasn't just my flirting that he was immune to.

"So, you moved in alright then?" I asked, wanting to keep him talking as long as possible.

He scrunched his nose up and nodded. "Yeah, it was a pain in the butt, but it's done now. I'd better go take these drinks to my friends." He motioned to the tray the barman put down in front of him. I couldn't help but feel disappointed that I didn't get to speak to him for longer.

"Want a hand?" I offered, reaching for the tray.

He smiled and shook his head, slapping the back of my hand teasingly. "If you think I'm letting you anywhere near my drink, then you've got another thing coming," he joked, winking at me as he picked up the tray and walked off without another word. I laughed and just watched him walk away. He didn't even look over his shoulder at me.

"Well, shit," I mumbled. How was I going to get this guy interested in me? I walked over to a confused-looking Seth.

"Did you just get rejected?" he asked, clearly shocked as I stopped at his side.

"Yep," I confirmed.

His mouth popped open and he looked over at Taehyung with wide eyes. "Seriously? What did he say?"

I shrugged. "I met him the other day. That's about the twentieth time he's brushed me off."

One of his eyebrows rose, obviously interested in a challenge. "I'm going to try."

As he strutted away from me, I barely managed to stop myself from grabbing him and punching him in the face. I watched as he stopped at his side. Please don't get it on with my friend, please, please, please! Seth had his game face on as he put his arm around Taehyung's shoulder, smirking at him cockily. I could see his mouth moving, but I couldn't hear what he was saying. After he finished talking Taehyung said something in return, which made him lift his arm from his shoulder and hold up his hands innocently. He backed away a step and shook his head, saying something else. My whole body relaxed.

A frown resided on Seth's face as he stalked back over to me. "He's straight," he stated, picking up his beer and downing the rest quickly.

I burst out laughing. "That's exactly what I said."

A while later, Ryan came back from the bathroom with a smug smile plastered on his face. "Jungkook, your boy doesn't bat for the other team. I've just heard him and his friends talking. They're all trying to get him to give someone a chance tonight. He just gave in and said that, to shut them up, he'll dance with the tenth guy that hits on him. Apparently there's already been four guys try tonight," he reported.

Ten guys? I looked at my watch; it was almost midnight. He probably said that knowing that he wouldn't get another six guys to hit on him before he left for the night! Damn, that's crafty. Okay, I can make this work to my advantage, I just need another five guys to hit on him then I'll make sure I'm number ten.

"Yeah? Awesome! Ryan, go hit on him." I nodded towards Taehyung.

Ryan recoiled and his eyebrows knitted together. He wasn't the type to walk up to a girl or guy and try his luck. "What? No way! bro I am not even gay" he cried, shaking his head fiercely.

"Oh, come on, please? You'll be number five. Woon, you can be number six, and I'll have to find another three guys to hit on him so I can be number ten."

He frowned and shook his head; he wasn't going for it at all.

"I'll tell you what to say; I just need him to reject you so I can be number ten. Please?" I begged excitedly.

He sighed and closed his eyes in defeat. "Fine, give me a damn line," he muttered.

I smiled, thinking of a line he could use. I didn't want to give him one that was too good; after all, I didn't actually want Taehyung to fall for it. "Okay, how about you say; do you mind if I hang out here until it's safe back where I farted?" I joked, knowing he wouldn't ever say that to anyone. He looked at me in disbelief. Seth and Woon both burst out laughing. I grinned and shook my head at his gullibility when he'd had a few drinks. "I was kidding. Okay here, say this; do you have sunburn or are you always this hot? That's an oldie but a goodie." I shrugged; believe it or not, that corny line had worked for me in the past.

He groaned and looked back over to him nervously. "He's going to shoot me down."

"That's the point, I want him to shoot you down."

He rolled his eyes. "You owe me for this, Kook."

He turned and walked off, and we watched as Taehyung laughed and shook his head. He was back within a minute.

Seth had already hit on him, so I sent Woon in next while I went to go find three others. A group of five guys caught my attention, so I headed over to them. "Hey guys, can I ask a favour?" I asked, not sure how to approach the subject.

They all looked at me curiously. "What favour?"

"I need three of you to go hit on a guy and let him reject you. I have a bet on with him that he'll get hit on ten times tonight. I really want to win the bet."

As they laughed, one of them looked over my shoulder. "Which guy?"

I turned around and pointed at Taehyung. "The hottie in the blue shirt."

"Nice," he purred instantly.

I silently wished I'd chosen someone else because now it looked like I had some competition.

"So I need three guys to go and hit on him so I can win the bet. You up for it?" I asked hopefully, looking at them each in turn.

"What's in it for us?" the same guy asked.

"I don't know, how about five hundred won?" I offered.

"Five hundred for three of us hitting on him?" he questioned. "How much do you stand to win?"

"Pride and bragging rights." I shrugged.

"Okay, I'll go for it." He shook his head in amusement.

I grinned and pulled out my wallet, grabbing the money that I always kept in the back of my wallet for emergencies. In my opinion, this definitely qualified as one of those!

I left them deciding which three would hit on Taehyung, and went back to my friends. I sipped my drink, watching as, one by one, he rejected them all, increasingly shocked at the attention. Nerves built in my stomach. I really wanted this to work so I could win that dance. Sweat coated my palms making them slick, so I wiped them on my jeans. After the final guy had his turn, I ordered myself to calm down and take a couple of deep breaths. He was just another guy, a bit of fun that I could forget about in the morning.

"Wish me luck" I muttered, slapping Seth in the stomach with the back of my hand on the way past. As I stepped up close to his side, I reached for his hand, engulfing it in mine. He frowned and looked up at me.

I smiled happily. "Hey there, pumpkin. So, are you originally from Tennessee? Because you're the only ten I see." I smirked at him. "No wait, I'm number ten. You owe me a dance."

He rolled his eyes. "Again, player? Are you gonna give up soon because, seriously, it's not working."

I smiled smugly. "You're misunderstanding me, I'm number ten." I pointed to Ryan. "He was the fifth guy to hit on you, the guy next to him was sixth, and those three guys that just came up to you were seven, eight and nine. That means you owe me a dance, sweetheart."

His friends were all watching with wide eyes and even wider smiles.

Taehyung's smirk fell from his face as he realised what I was talking about.

"No," he muttered. "How did you...? Seriously? No way, you can't be number ten because you were number three." He brightened as if he suddenly had a get out clause.

I should have known he'd come up with some way of getting out of it. Okay, if he wants to play it like that, fine.

"Okay, beautiful, you asked for this. I know the guy that has the power to stop the music playing. When I raise my hand the music's going to stop, and I'm going to propose to you in front of everyone. Do you have a ring I could borrow, or should I just wing it without one?" I asked, trying to keep a straight face.

He looked skeptical, obviously trying to work out if I was serious or not. After a couple of seconds, he'd clearly made up his mind. His eyes narrowed and he folded his arms over his chest.

"No way," he stated confidently.

I shrugged. He'd already told me he hated to be centre of attention; this ploy would work out perfectly. "You asked for it, sweetie." I turned back to look at the DJ and raised my hand, praying this would work otherwise I'd look like a moron. Almost immediately, he gasped, grabbing my wrist and yanking it back down again.

"God, Jungkook, you're so freaking annoying!" he hissed, looking cute as a button.

"Thanks, muffin." I pulled him to the dance floor while he closed his eyes and shook his head in apparent disbelief. When we got to the dance floor, I turned and took his hands, looping his arms around my neck before gripping his waist and pulling him closer to me. He felt so good in my arms.

"You know this isn't a slow song, don't you?" he asked, as I guided him to start dancing. I nodded; the song wasn't something I particularly liked, but it had a strong and fast beat to it. I would have preferred a slow song to sway along to, if I was honest. He grinned up at me and then started dancing properly, shaking his little ass to perfection. My whole body responded to his every move. I could feel the attraction building - and my jeans tightening across the crotch. While we danced, I looked at every inch of his face, loving how relaxed he looked.

When he smiled, I couldn't help but smile back. My body was just reacting, loving the closeness. I leant down, pressing my forehead to his, looking into his big brown eyes as I slid one hand up his back to the nape of his neck, tangling my fingers in his hair. His breathing had definitely sped up and his arms had tightened around my neck as he was grinding against me. Neither of us spoke, but I didn't need to. It was weird having him in my arms. I'd never felt anything like it, and I savoured every second in case I didn't get the opportunity again. When the song finished, he pulled back slightly. His arms moved from my neck slowly, trailing down across my shoulders and chest teasingly. I literally had to bite my tongue to stifle a moan of desire.

"Thanks for the dance," he muttered. I cocked my head to the side, wondering if that was a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Want another one?"

Taehyung smiled apologetically. "Sorry, I agreed with my friends, one dance with guy number ten. I've kept up my end of the bargain." He shrugged, but still hadn't walked away from me. I took that as a good sign.

I let my arms drop from his waist. "Yeah okay. That dance was totally worth the five hundred won; I don't think I could afford another one anyway," I joked, running a hand through my hair nervously. Why the hell am I so freaking nervous? Jeez, get a grip, Kook!

He frowned. "Five hundred won?"

I winced, realising I shouldn't have said that. Couldn't exactly take it back now though.

"Yeah, I had to pay those guys to come and hit on you so I could be number ten and get the dance." I shrugged, watching his mouth drop open in shock.

"Wow, now I feel a little like a hooker," he replied.

I burst out laughing at his randomness. "A hooker, really? Does that mean you'll put out if I take you home with me?"

He moved closer, raising one eyebrow. "What do you think the answer to that question is?"

I blinked a couple of times. I'd never had a guy behave like this with me, usually once I'd made my move they were hanging all over me, listening to me talk, or just checking me out. It was refreshing to meet someone that could hold his own against me.

I decided to go for the honest answer. "My guess is I'm going to bed with a mental image of you, some lube and a box of tissues."

He burst out laughing and shook his head as he slapped my chest playfully. "You just get cruder and cruder the more I talk to you."

I did a little bow as if it was a compliment, which caused him to laugh harder. "So anyway, change of subject; why would your parents name you Taehyung if your surname was Right? I mean, that's just a little cruel," I asked, pretending to be serious.

He looked at me as if I'd lost the plot a little. "I'm not Taehyung Right, I'm Kim Taehyung."

I recoiled, faking shock. "Seriously? Damn it, I could have sworn you were Mister Right."

He rolled his eyes as he got it. "Nice. Didn't see that one coming so good job."

"You like that? I made that up on the spot, just for you."

As a guy almost bumped him from behind while lost in a bad dance move, I put my hands on his hips, pulling him closer to me so he wouldn't get caught up in his dance that looked more like a fit than anything else.

His hand rested on my chest as he looked up at me. The temperature in the room seemed to skyrocket as his eyes met mine. I wanted him so badly that I ached.

"Very clever, Jungkook. I'm officially impressed." He patted my chest teasingly.

I bent my face closer to his and ran my nose across his cheek. His breathing faltered and a little shiver ran through his body as my mouth pressed to his ear. "Seeing as how I impressed you, how about we celebrate with another dance?" I whispered.

He gulped, and I knew it was working; his resistance was crumbling as his body pressed against mine. "Thought you said you couldn't afford another."

I sighed and knew that his defences were back up again. For a couple of seconds he'd looked like he was considering it, but the moment was gone, and so were my chances. I let my arms drop to my sides and couldn't help but feel rejected and disappointed. This was killing me. It was fun in a way; he was fun, but I had no idea how to make this any better. I was fighting a losing battle, which was incredibly frustrating.

I needed to walk away; I couldn't take any more rejection for tonight. There was only so much bashing my ego could take all in one go.

"Never mind then. I should probably go and lick my rejection wounds anyway," I joked, hoping my sudden sour mood wouldn't show. Going for the old-fashioned approach, I took his hand, pulling it up to my face and planting a soft kiss on the back of it. "It was good to see you again," I said honestly.

"Yeah, you too," he replied. After a quick glance over my shoulder, he smiled. "Looks like we're leaving now anyway."

I turned and looked in the same direction; seeing that his friends had all finished their drinks and were standing around watching us talk.

"Oh, well get home safe, okay?" Should I walk him home? I wondered. I opened my mouth to offer, but he interrupted me.

"I will. Chan is driving, so he's dropping everyone home." He smiled sweetly, "See ya,Jungkook."

I watched as they all converged on him immediately, casting sly looks back at me, obviously asking for the gossip. He shrugged and shook his head, and I felt even more rejected for some reason. He was even telling his friends that he wasn't interested in me.

I headed back over to my friends and saw a girl standing there drinking and laughing with my boys. I smiled when I noticed who she was. Emma. She was an occasional partner of mine. She liked sex, so when she wanted to we went at it in a casual-no-strings-attached way. Neither of us wanted more than friends with benefits, which worked out perfectly. Emma was actually just as much of a player as I was so I knew she'd be able to take my mind off the Taehyung rejection sting.

"Hey, Emma. Long time no see." I grinned at her.

A seductive smile crossed her face as she stepped to my side. "Jeon Jungkook, it's definitely been too long." She looked around for something before turning back to me. "You on your own tonight?" she asked, raising one eyebrow. I nodded, watching as a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Me too. Come on."

Her hand slipped into mine, and she gave me a little tug in the direction of the bathrooms at the back of the bar.

Now that's more like it!

As she pulled me into the ladies restroom and locked the door, I quickly scanned the stalls, seeing that we were alone. When she turned back to me, I grabbed her and kissed her, pushing her up against the wall as her hands went straight for the buttons of my jeans. Emma wasn't one for patience or foreplay; she got straight to it. I slipped my tongue in her mouth and tried to force all images of Taehyung out of my head - but it just wasn't working. The damn guy was all I could think about.

Emma's hand slipped inside my boxers, stroking me gently as I groped her, trying to get me into the mood. After a couple of minutes, she was still stroking me, playing with my balls - but nothing was happening. She pulled out of the kiss and peppered little kisses down the side of my neck.

Something was wrong. I couldn't shake the feeling that this whole situation was just wrong. I didn't even really want to be here. What I actually wanted to be doing was walking Taehyung home and hearing his talk some more.

Emma pulled back and looked at me curiously. "Everything okay?" she asked breathlessly.

I nodded and gulped. What the hell is wrong with me? Never in my life had I failed to get hard. When I wanted a hard-on, I got one. Never had the girl or a guy had to work for it.

"Want me to suck it?" Emma offered, frowning, clearly confused as she looked down towards my still limp dick in her hand.

The honest answer to that question scared me a little. I didn't want her to, and I'd never even thought that before in my life either. Damn it, Jk, get your game on and have sex with the pretty girl. You know she's good!

"JK? I said-" she started, but I cut her off quickly.

"I heard what you said. Sorry, I can't do this tonight; I'm not feeling too good. I think I'm coming down with something," I lied, stepping back from her and hastily buttoning up my jeans.

Her confusion changed to sympathy. "Aww, you're sick? Does the poor baby need a nurse to look after him?" she flirted, stepping closer to me again and pouting.

I resisted the urge to groan. I couldn't bring myself to have meaningless sex with Emma in the back of the bar, when I was interested in Taehyung. Once I'd had Taehyung then I'd be able to turn my game back on and get back to normal. This was just a little blip that was easily fixed, once I'd jumped him everything would be fine and dandy again - I hoped.

"No. Seriously, Emma, sorry, but I can't tonight. I need to go home," I muttered to her obviously disappointed face.

She nodded and straightened her barely-there skirt. "Okay, well I'll catch you next time. Hope you feel better."

She shrugged and flipped the lock on the bathroom, walking away, leaving me standing there in the middle of the ladies bathrooms. I walked over to the mirror and looked at myself. I didn't look any different, but I felt like I should for some reason. I looked down at my crotch and frowned angrily. "Nice let down, buddy. You couldn't just do it?" I muttered. And now I'm talking to my dick. I need help.

I sighed and headed out of the bathrooms, deciding enough was enough. I was going home with a mental image of Taehyung and a box of tissues just like I told him earlier.

Tomorrow would be different, tomorrow I was turning my game back on and heading to Yoongi's for dinner whether I was invited or not.

Persistence was the key, and I had never given up on anything in my life.
