Ch- 30 Meet the Kims

Jungkook's pov

The following two weeks passed quickly. I was hanging around Taehyung and Han like a bad smell; I literally couldn't get enough of their time. The kid seemed to like me more and more each day. We hung out, laughed, played and joked around, it was fun.

Even though it wasn't his turn to have him, Seojoon had kept true to his word and had picked Han up for a few hours, taking him to the park to play ball the following weekend after I'd given him the money. Although it was nice to get some alone time with Taehyung, deep down I didn't like the fact that Seojoon was making an effort.

I knew that I should like the fact that he was trying to turn over a new leaf, but part of me wondered how long it would last for, and if he would hurt them both again in the long run.

Han especially would be hurt if he suddenly changed and stopped calling him every other night and turning up when he was supposed to. Taehyung had obviously hardened himself to it because they'd been apart so long, but the kid would be crushed. He was definitely enjoying his dad's attention.

Another part of me didn't like Seojoon seeing them at all; the jealous part of me, the possessive part, just wanted him to crawl under a rock and die. I couldn't stop wondering if maybe he was doing this to try and win them back, that his tactic for the 'competition' was to be a great dad, clearly that would score him a few points with Taehyung. If that was the reason, the only thing I could do about it was to be myself and pray that Taehyung chose me in the long run and that he wouldn't be impressed by Seojoon's pathetic attempts to win him back.

The day of Sehun's christening also finally came around. I was driving today, picking up Taehyung and Han, and we were all travelling there together. The only thing I didn't like the sound of – I was also driving his parents.

Because they knew Taehyung's parents, Jimin and Yoongi had invited them along to the ceremony too. They'd caught the train in from Daegu this morning, and were currently at Taehyung's apartment where they would be staying the night. To say I was terrified of meeting his dad would be a ridiculous understatement.

From what I'd heard,  Taehyung was a bit of a daddy's boy, and his dad was slightly overprotective of him. After what happened with Seojoon, I could understand why, but I was hopeful that I'd win him around with the old Jeon Jungkook charm. All I needed to keep in mind was that I was to make no slutty remarks to my man in front of them. For me that would be a feat in itself considering it was the first thing that usually fell out of my mouth around him. Hopefully, I'd be able to keep my hormones in check tonight; otherwise there was no chance of him liking me.

Sitting in my car that I had spent a painstakingly too many hours cleaning, washing, waxing and vacuuming yesterday in the hopes that it would help me make a good impression, I fiddled with my tie and took a few deep breaths. I wasn't prepared for this at all.

By the time I'd made the short walk up the front door of his building, my hands were sweating and I felt slightly sick. Taehyung had, of course, assured me that everything would be fine, that he would give me a hard time, but he was confident that I would win him over because I was, in his words, incredibly adorable. The man still refused to use macho words for me.

I didn't let myself up to his door, like I usually would when I came to visit. Instead, I pressed the door buzzer and waited for him to answer and buzz me up. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me," I replied, closing my eyes, trying to take deep breaths so I didn't punk out and run to the car, crying like a little girl.

He didn't say anything, the door just buzzed and the lock clicked, allowing me to open it. I made my way upstairs, fiddling with my suit jacket nervously.

Remember, no slutty jokes, JK. Do not make any slutty jokes!

When Taehyung opened the door, my mouth popped open in shock. He looked incredible in a pale blue suit with white T-shirt inside. His hair had been styled, framing his exquisite face. I raked my eyes down over his body, taking in every glorious detail from his delicate neck, right down to his blue loafers that he was wearing. Instantly, my mind was taking off the outfit, imagining him in just with a tie.

I dragged my eyes back up to his face, unsure what was going to come out of my mouth. "Holy shit, you look so scorching hot that I could jizz in my pants right now." Hmm, not quite the opening I was going for... His eyes were wide and his mouth slightly open as his gaze raked over me. I waited for his reply or to scold me with a 'you're a pervert' comment – but he was just staring at me.

After a couple of seconds, I frowned and looked down at myself. "What? Did I leave the price tag on or something?" I questioned.

He blew out a big breath and shook his head. "God damn, you look good in a suit. Seriously, I just..." he swallowed, "...yeah, you're wearing that next time you stay over, okay?"

A predatory smile crept onto my face as I stepped closer to him. "Oh, I look good in a suit, huh? Maybe we could start some little office worker fantasy. I can be the boss, and you could be my secretary wearing those hot little glasses of yours. Also, don't forget to wear the tie  and these shoes that you have on right now," I breathed, my mind already working out the details of the game.

He giggled while glancing down at me. "These are your fantasies?" he asked, trying to look innocent.

I wrapped my free arm around his waist and pulled him closer to me.

"On you they are," I confirmed. "On anyone else they're just blue shoes and a pair of tie, but you just add that extra little sparkle to them that makes me want to strip you naked and have you walk for me in nothing but them."

His hands ran across the front of my suit jacket as he chewed on his lip, looking at me lustfully. "Maybe later," he whispered, nodding in agreement.

I sighed dejectedly. "Another night, you have company tonight."

He groaned and let his head drop onto my chest as he obviously remembered his parents were staying the night. "Damn it, I forgot about that. Did you seriously have to look this good today? We're going into a church and all I'm going to be thinking the whole time are inappropriate thoughts about you. I'm seriously going to hell."

I laughed and kissed the top of his head, being careful not to mess up his perfectly styled hairs. Physically, Taehyung and I were very compatible. For the last two weeks, since the beach party at my parents' place, we'd done a lot of fooling around. Taehyung was definitely a dirty boy at heart. In the two weeks that I'd had him naked for, I had already memorised every single inch of his skin. I knew he had exactly twenty-three little freckles on his body. I knew that he was immensely ticklish on his ribs on the right-hand side. I knew that when I ran my tongue down the length of his spine he gasped and gripped the bed sheet so tightly that his knuckles went white. We'd done a few little role play games already; the office one would be new though. Personally, I couldn't wait.

Reluctantly, I pulled back and brought my other arm up, holding up the flowers that I bought for him.

He smiled gratefully and smelt them. "Aww, thank you. They're beautiful."

"I haven't bought you any for a while. Plus, I thought it would impress your parents if I bought you flowers. I want to look like the romantic boyfriend after all," I explained, grinning sheepishly.

he laughed and slapped the back of his hand on my chest. "And you were doing so well before you said that," he teased, rolling his eyes playfully. He took my hand and nodded back to the door of his apartment that we were standing outside. "You ready for this?"

I winced and shook my head. "Not yet." I tugged on his hand, making him stumble towards me and crash into my chest. I bent my head and kissed him, relishing the feel of his lips against mine. The kiss was totally worth whatever his dad would do to me over the next twenty-four hours. "Now I'm ready," I confirmed.

He laughed and walked backwards into the apartment, smiling at me reassuringly as I pushed the door shut. My heart was beating so loudly that I wouldn't be surprised if the whole building could hear it. I couldn't relax as I followed him awkwardly into the lounge where I could hear voices.

As we rounded the corner, I forced myself to smile. The lady was sitting on the sofa had brown hair, pulled up into a little twist at the back. She looked like Taehyung and her sister. Han was sat next to her and they were examining a drawing of his, he was explaining what it was, pointing out bits, while she smiled at it enthusiastically. Taehyung's dad was standing there looking at the photos that I had hung on the wall for him last week. His hands were on his hips. He wasn't smiling. To say I was slightly intimidated of this man, would be the understatement of the century. He had the power to turn Taehyung and Han against me if he wanted to. Tae wouldn't choose to stand up to his dad for me, and I wouldn't really want to make him choose in the first place.

Taehyung cleared his throat to get their attention, and I wanted to clap my hand over his mouth to silence him, just so I could have precious extra seconds to compose myself. The three faces turned towards us.

Taehyung's mom smiled at me politely. His dad's eyes raked over me slowly, as if appraising me to see if I was good enough for his son.

And Han, well, Han jumped up, beaming at me, before he literally threw himself over the back of the sofa at me so that I had to catch him before he fell to the floor.

I laughed and lifted him up into my arms as he hugged me tightly.

"Hey, Kookoo! We're going to a party today!" he sang excitedly.

"Hey, Kid. You all suited and ready to go?" I asked, playfully tweaking his tie that he was wearing. He looked adorable in a little fashion shirt with a grey tie, and grey waistcoat over the top.

Taehyung's dad snorted and mumbled something under his breath that I didn't even attempt to understand. Taehyung smiled and placed his hand on the small of my back as I settled Han on my hip, holding him with my left arm.

"Guys, this is Jeon Jungkook. Kook, this is my mom, Tae-yon and my dad, Gyeong-gu." Taehyung waved a hand between us all introduction.

Smiling, I stepped forward, trying to act confident. Surely the fact that Han is hanging around my neck, will help the situation? Mr.Kim looked me over distastefully. Huh, apparently not...

"Nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you guys from Tae and Han," I greeted, holding out my hand to him.

He frowned, looking like he didn't want to shake my hand at all, but reluctantly did it anyway. "You too. Taehyung tells us that you're a cop. Kind of a dangerous job, don't you think?" he replied tersely.

Okay, we were straight into the pissing contest.

"Er... I guess, but I'm always careful. I'm actually never really too close to the action or anything," I explained, looking down at our hands because he still hadn't relinquished his grip on mine. He was definitely trying to scare me away; this was obviously his bad cop routine. According to Taehyung, I just needed to push past it.

He looked like he was choosing his words carefully. "Do you think that being in a dangerous job is a good example to be setting for my grandson?"

I internally groaned. I hadn't prepared myself sufficiently for this at all. "I think that he'll see me doing my job and being on the right side of the law. So that's setting a good example, yes," I answered. I could almost feel his eyes boring into my head as he scrutinised every little thing that I did or said.

But then Han opened his mouth and dropped me in the shit. "Kookoo let me hold his gun. And I put on his handcuffs," he boasted.

Oh fuck. Nice one, Kid! I winced and looked at Taehyung. He hadn't liked it when I did that either – until I explained that it was empty and that the safety was on anyway. I'd even removed some of the inside parts so it couldn't shoot; it was basically just a worthless piece of metal when Han held it.

George made a snorting sound in the back of his throat. "Very responsible."

Taehyung stepped forward and slipped his arm around my waist. "Yeah, we all had a go. It was an old gun that was out of service, so it wouldn't shoot or anything. I asked Kook to bring it around because we'd never seen a gun up-close before. Right, Kook?" he lied, smiling at me, telling me to play along. I nodded, wondering why he'd just said that.

"I still don't think that handling a real gun is something that you should be allowing," Mr.Kim countered.

Taehyung shrugged. "Wasn't your decision, Dad, it was mine. Kook said it was safe, so that's good enough for me." He held up the flowers to show his mom. "I'm going to put these in water. Kook bought them for me."

Mrs.Kim smiled at me warmly. "Oh that's sweet," she gushed.

I laughed. That was probably where the word 'sweet' came from. I couldn't help but wonder if Mr.Kim ever got labelled 'sweet'. I flicked my eyes back to him. He was still watching me like a hawk with a stick up its ass. I winced slightly. Yeah that dude is as sweet as a fucking lemon!

I cleared my throat as Taehyung walked off, leaving me in what felt like hell. I clung to Han, using him as some sort of human shield from the death glare I was receiving. "So, how was the train ride? I told Taehyung that I didn't mind driving to come and collect you guys, but he said you were fine on the train," I said, shrugging, trying to alleviate some of the tension.

Were they feeling this tension, or was it just me? Was it getting hotter in here? Maybe I should open a window or something...

"The train was fine. Taehyung told us that you suggested that, but it just seemed silly for you to drive all that way when we could just as easily get the train. Thank you for the offer though," Mrs. Kim replied. Her tone was warm and welcoming. Clearly it was only Gyu that I needed to win over.

"It wouldn't have been a problem." I shrugged, and Han wriggled in my arms, as he tapped on my shoulder to get my attention. I smiled down at him. "What's up, Kid?"

"When we gets to the church, am I allowed to play on your phone?" he whispered, giving me the puppy dog face that I was yet to find a resistance to. Han had developed a fondness for my cell phone lately; I now had more games downloaded on there than anything else. With the way he was going I was going to have to buy him his own one soon, before he overloaded my memory with drawing apps, drum sets and angry birds.

"Sure, Kid."

"He has a name you know," Mr.Kim interjected.

I smiled and nodded. Looks like I wasn't getting anything right today. "Yeah, I should really use that."

A couple of minutes later, Taehyung walked back in and smiled. "Are we ready to go? It's going to take a while to get there because of security," he said, shrugging and grabbing his phone and wallet.

I nodded and set Han down on his feet. "You been to the bathroom, Kid? There won't be one there; you don't want to have to pee in the bush in front of a load of cameras, do you? I did that once, it's not fun," I stated, nodding towards the back hallway.

Taehyung burst out laughing, and Han skipped off. I grinned up at him, but then saw his dad looking at me with one eyebrow raised; he obviously didn't find it funny. "That was a joke, I've never done that," I added quickly.

"Hmm," was all he said as he headed for the door.

When mrs.Kim followed him, I turned to Taehyung , looking at him desperately. "This is not going well," I whined.

Hee shook his head and went up on tiptoes, pressing his lips to mine.

"You're doing great. I haven't heard one pick-up line, or slutty comment come out of your mouth. That must be some kind of record for you," he teased.

I sighed and pressed my forehead to his, wishing today was over already. Han skipped back to the lounge then, his shirt un-tucked, his hands still dripping with water where he hadn't dried them. I laughed, and Taehyung  bent down to sort him out.

"After I go to the bathroom, you gonna do that for me?" I asked, as he pushed his hand down Han's dress pants, tucking in his shirt.

He winked at me. "If you're a good boy."

"Kookoo's always a good boy," Han chimed in, making us both laugh.

The drive to the church took a long time, we had to stop a couple of times at checkpoints, they'd blocked off certain roads and you had to produce ID and an invite to get past. This was all because of Jimin's father. He was serving his second term in office, after all; the President of the South Korea had a lot of security.

By the time we made it to the church parking lot, I was in a bad mood.

The whole drive Mr.Kim was nit-picking at everything I did. Complaining about my car not being big enough for five people, how I drove too fast, how I should have pulled out at a junction when I didn't, how long it was taking. If he was doing it to piss me off, it was having the desired effect.

I sighed gratefully as we got out of the car, taking a few deep breaths.

My peace didn't last long though because Seth came wandering over with a big grin on his face. He knew I was nervous; I'd spoken to him about meeting the parents. He was definitely going to make this harder for me, I could tell by the wicked glint to his eye. I shot him a warning look as everyone else walked around to my side of the car.

Seth hadn't officially met Han yet, I'd spoken about him, of course, but this was the actual first meeting. I wasn't sure how Seth was going to handle it, he really didn't like kids. He smiled at me.

"This your Man's sprog?" he asked, motioning towards Han.

Han frowned. "I'm not a frog."

I laughed and patted his head as Seth stuck out his hand for him to shake. "Hey, I'm your uncle Seth," he introduced himself. Han looked at me curiously, and Taehyung laughed. Seth turned to him and smiled his game smile.

"Why do you have to be so damn fine every single day? Can't you take a break and let me concentrate on something else for a change?" he asked, smirking at him.

"Still trying?" he asked, rolling his eyes.

I cleared my throat awkwardly, willing him to disappear. "Seth, think we could give it a rest for today?" I asked, nodding discreetly at his parents that were standing beside me.

Seth grinned wolfishly and looked at Tracy. "You can't be Taehyung's mother. Were you five when you gave birth?"

I'm going to to kill him.

Mrs.Kim laughed and blushed, looking at her husband uncomfortably. She obviously wasn't as comfortable with chat-up lines as her daughter.

"Well aren't you the charmer," she replied, looking a little embarrassed.

"We should get inside," I suggested, looking at the five secret service agents that were standing guard outside the church door. I recognised a couple of them as Jimin's security guard detail when Yoongi wasn't around.

I gripped Taehyung's hand and put my other on Han's shoulder, guiding him over to the security. I nodded at Patrick, one of Jimin's guards. "Hey, Patrick. Listen, that guy over there, he says he's with us, but I don't know him," I stated, nodding at Seth, who was now hitting on another guest as she got out of her car. Patrick wouldn't know who Seth was; he didn't hang out at their place as much as I did so he didn't know many of their security detail.

Patrick frowned. "The brown haired one?"

I nodded in confirmation, wondering if I had just gone too far. He would have his invite though; it would be easily sorted out. "Yeah. Can we head in? We're all on the guest list; this is Mr and Mrs Kim." I waved a hand at Tae's parents. Patrick nodded, and we all headed into the, already full, church.

Almost instantly I spotted my mother; she stood up from her seat, waving excitedly with her eyes firmly latched onto Han. She seemed to push past everyone, and my dad walked along behind her, apologising to the people she almost shoved out of the way in a bid to meet her grandson.

She stopped in front of me, pulling Taehyung into a hug. "Oh, you look so beautiful! That suit, it's just incredible, sweetheart," she gushed, smiling affectionately.

She turned to me and pinched my cheek. "Poppet, you just look so handsome in your suit!" Tae giggled, but I didn't look at him knowing he would tease the life out of me because of the poppet thing again. I gripped Han's shoulder for support as my mother's eyes went down to him. She bit on her lip, one hand over her heart as she looked at him like he was the cutest thing in the world. "Hi, Hanuel," she whispered.

I crouched down next to him and smiled reassuringly, wondering what on earth the kid was going to make of my crazy ass mother. "Han, this is my mom."

He smiled at her which caused her to whimper. "You're Kookoo's momma? You don't looks like him," he observed, shaking his head.

My mom laughed. "Kookoo looks like his dad," she replied, crouching down in front of him. "I have some gifts for you in my car. I brought one in with me because it was small, but the rest of them you'll have to wait until after, deal?"

"You boughted me a present?" he said excitedly. She nodded and reached into the bag that she had in her hand, pulling out a couple of packs of Toy Story stickers and a sticker album. Han's eyes lit up as he looked at it.

"That's mine?" he cried happily. She nodded as she held it out to him. He took it, grinning from ear to ear. Han turned to me. "Kookoo, you have a really nice momma! Look what she boughted for me!" He held it up in example, and I smiled, faking enthusiasm.

"I'll help you stick them in if you want," my mom offered.

He nodded eagerly, and she sighed happily. My dad was watching, grinning too as my mom introduced him to Han, and they opened the packs of stickers.

Yoongi wandered over then. As he shook hands with Mr.Kim, he was afforded a warm smile. I couldn't help but feel a little jealous, but then again, Yoongi wasn't a threat because he wasn't the one trying to get in Taehyung's pants.

There was a commotion by the door; I could hear heated talking and a couple of seconds later Seth walked in, being escorted by two secret service agents. "I'm invited! I'm friends with Yoongi!" Seth grumbled.

I choked on my laughter as Yoongi quickly went over to sort it out.

That'll teach the prick for hitting on my possible future mother-in-law! I looked at Han hopefully. "Think I could have one of those stickers, Kid? I'll buy you another pack to make up for it," I asked.

He nodded and handed me one. "I've gotted two of this one anyways," he answered, shrugging.

I smiled and peeled the back off it, before quickly heading over to Yoongi and Seth who were talking to the agents, explaining that everything was fine. I slapped Seth on the back as I got over to him.

"You just can't help but cause a scene, can you? This is a church, Seth, show some respect," I teased, patting my hand on his back lightly. I grinned and turned heading back to my group, leaving Seth with a Lotso Hugging Bear sticker on his back.

Payback's a bitch, my friend!
