This particular village were not so fawn of strangers. Most of those strangers were most likely stow aways, criminals from horribly drawn wanted posters, or possibly normal common folk looking for a job to live off of. By all other means, this village was not quite a fan of new faces. Be it a visit or not.
"This should do them good. Plenty for a hefty price of course!" The man, who is the only one with splendid business in this little village, was able to finish off the list of needed groceries.
With a few coins in hand, calculated from the very start, hand it to the business man "Here is your coins sir." From one little hand to a bigger one the coins were tossed into the coin stash. Away from those who can steal it.
The groceries were generously placed in a wagon your size. It was quite old and unkempt, but with such list, it was by far the most useful with shopping. It would be wonderful if you had a donkey or gifted a horse, it would be easier to take to your hellish home. A home that doesn't flick a golden penny your way..
The moment everything was in order it was time to depart.
"You should run away with all this food. Even the money too." The man you given coins to was a kind generous man, and seeing a child of high status in such poor state, he was worried and consern for you "I have a friend who raised horses for a living. I'll buy a healthy youngling for you, free of charge of course."
His kind proposal was rejected within seconds "Your a good man. But I still believe they will change...someday that is."
"Someday is not going to come." He was right, within seconds he pulled out a small bag of coins, filled and heavy, toss it to be caught by the child "My offer still stands. Hide it away. Those bastards are greedy for money."
"But-."
He raised a hand up, stopping the child mid way "Don't. Just think about that offer will ya?"
The offer was indeed thought over. Nodding, a new bag of coins to keep hidden away, begin to grasp each of the two wooden handles. With your bear hands you pulled the old wagon away with all your strength. It was by far less painful now that your once soft hands blistered over, now finding it easier to travel with less work going back and forth, your small hands were rough and manly like; Hands that a noble would never have nor allow.
Onwards you went. Uphill to your hellish manor, a family not worth a penny to feed, with all the strength a small child could give you walked eleven miles through the endless mud from the day before. By the time you arrive your dress would be drenched with mud and sweat. It would be wise to change before entering the manor entirely..

The maide's were by far the kindest people to you here. They were here the day you were born, your father's passing due to heart failure, and watch helpless as your noble status was taken from you the day mother wedded a man from a better wealthier bloodline. These maide treat you with respect and taught you everything you needed to know as a low class maide. The exact day you became a maide of this place was at the young age of four, not understanding what is happening whatsoever, the noble title taken from your head just to be placed on your step-brother Markus the day he was born.
In fact, your name was stripped from you too. A red flag. This place was such a big red flag..
"Maide! My toy!Go fetch it for me will you?" Markus was near that toy, laying below his feet, he called out like if he couldn't bend down himself, he was spoiled rotten "Go on, fetch it maide!"
"Father were here he would told him to pick it up himself. A maide is not needed for such a thing."
Your thoughts ran free, a face cold and emotionless as always, resume in making tea.By some odd reason making tea was quite soothing...
Once ready did the small child like maide pour two cups to the brim, the sweet hot aroma steam upwards immediately once poured, just to step back and set the fresh brewed tea aside. Standing on the side lines in case you were needed.
The moment mother, dressed in her finessed dress and jewels, steps out to be greeted by the mere sunlight of outdoors did Markus stop bullying the dear maide. As any child would it made you wonder how lovely it is to embrace a dear parent. Markus ran into the open arms of your biological mother who giggles away at Markus young goofy nature. It all stops the moment they sat down in their chairs. Mother taking the first sip of the tea that is cooled.
"Ew!This is NOT the tea I asked for!" Mother hated it so much she threw the rest of the tea on your poor excuse of a maide dress, Markus follows suite and speaks with pride at his actions "A maide who can't make a proper tea? Who would want you? Your by far lucky to be in our presence. It quite suites you dear maide.~"
Fixing your outfit with little to no help you clean the spilled mess on the porch floor "My apologies Mistress. My apologize Sir.I'll prepare the correct tea for you two." and like that you were once again back in the kitchen, drenched in green tea, fixing up some Earl Grey the proper way.
"Oh my!Your dress!" One of the maide's, Mrs.Monii, comes in with a tray of baked goods to which goes to both mother and Markus outside, her attention on your cloths "You must go change before the lord of this household sees you!"
"But if I do they ruine that one too." The tea was boiling, just a tad longer will do.
Mrs.Monii fumes up in hidden anger. She dislikes how they treated this child before her, the true hier of this place, it saddens her to no end for she has no power to fix nor help you. Just how cruel can the Mistress be? This was by far unfair.
She huffs in defeat "Finish the tea then." soon she delivered the baked goodies to which both enjoyed greatly.
Seeing their reactions to the sweets through the small window seemed joyful. Possible good even.
"I wonder what those taste like? Are those things really good as it looks? I want to try one. Just a nibble would do.."
The steam from the tea pot blew out like smoke exhausted from a train. Drifting from your thoughts you did the exact thing as before. Now outside once again, poured each a cup of fresh brewed Earl Grey, you once again stood aside like before. Like a statue but staring dead at the floor.
"Better." Mother hums, taking a small sip after biting into her cookie.
Markus, who ignored the pipping hot tea, went straight for the sweets. He has a rather big sugar tooth.
"A deal has been made. A great wonderful alliance with Big Mom." Mother speaks up evily, venom that shouldn't be placed on her own biological child, soon takes a sip of her tea once again before continuing further "For protection and shared wealth we decided to trade you to be their maide. Your father signed and sealed the deal at noon."
"Mother that's wonderful news! It's a pity for they have you as their maid however. Your quite worthless and can't do anything right for once." Markus eats his cookie with glee, mother agrees with him as she stares your drenched form down.
She expects you to act up and say something. She is very proud in breaking her own child's self esteem and confidence. In her eyes, this is how a perfect maide should be. Hollow and obedient. Surely Big Mom would be impressed.
Her face scrunch up in disgust, clearly not so found of your presence it seems "Leave. Pack your belongings or whatever it is. Tomorrow you will be shipped down to Whole Cake Island at sun rise."
Bowing you left. The green tea puddle was left behind where you once stood. Cold and messy.
"They sold me over a deal. That man was right. Someday won't happen.Ever."
Your room was not within the manor. It was actually outside in the shack far and deep in the woods. All you had were two maid outfits, a needle and string, and one patchy quilt to keep yourself warm at the coldest of nights. The quilt will do as a suitcase for all your things.
"Maybe I should see this as a good thing? Big Mom will be my mistress this time. I should do my best to please her-!"
As you rummage around and folded your things your bag of coins feel out and onto the floor. Seeing it, as well as forgetting it too, hide it away once again. In your heart you were thankful to that man. He gave you money while this place doesn't spend a penny on you. Their own kid..
"(Y/N)? Are you in there sweetie??"
Mrs.Chii was outside your door. She was the head of the maide's at this manor. She taught you how to prep tea, cook and measure food and drinks, and sew. Opening the door yourself you see a basket in her elderly wrinkled hands.
"My dear little girl. I heard the news and truthfully I hate and disprove of such a horrid idea. But honestly...this may be the best thing for you. To get you away from this place." Gently she placed the basket down in your hands, knowing you will cherish that basket endlessly, soon hugs you tightly "I wish you the best my dear girl. I really do. I hope I did well on this farewell basket. I tossed in some of your favorite teas, some trinkets and little reminders, and whatever else I can find."
You want to cry. So badly. But nothing was coming out. Your family must of have truly broken you..
Mrs. Chii kissed your forehead after, not happy to see you go, yet wished you luck.
"Send me PLENTY of letters okay? And don't worry, I already asked Milo to send them directly to me. I'll send whatever I can to you alright?Maybe I can send you some-?"
"Thank you.."
She paused, staring down at the child she will miss, a small tear leaks from your eyes and onto the gift. Maybe your parents didn't break you that badly.
"T-Thank you. For everything."
Mrs.Chii finds herself hugging the child who stood strong for so long. Crying her last cry into her stomach. A child like you should be a normal troublesome kid, not a mini sized mature minded adult. It was unfair.
Hopefully, Mrs.Chii praying to those above, you would be treated better down there then here. Way better.
