It was the next day, Ink had fallen asleep while working. Leaving his room, he noticed Dream and Blue asleep.

I never have time for them anymore, but they wouldn't understand why even if I told them. At least they have each-other now. The amount of guilt I feel for ignoring them half the time can't be put in words, though.

Just as Ink begins to leave, Blue wakes up.

"Ink..?"

Ink turns towards Blue.

"..Yes, Blueberry?"

"...Nevermind."

Sighing, Ink walks over to Blue.

"..Look, I'm sorry I've been practically ignoring you both but I have my reasons. You'll understand soon enough. It won't be like this forever, though.  I can promise that."

Blueberry was shocked at his friend's words, rendering him speechless.

"...Alright. But can you at least say where you're going?"

"Just going to check a few aus, then head to Nightmare's castle."

Blueberry gave Ink a confused look.
He thought Ink hated Nightmare.

Ink hates Nightmare the
most out of all of us, though I guess I might have been mistaken.

"I know you're confused. I'm just going to his castle because Dream obviously needs him right now. While Nightmare most likely won't care, Dream's like family to me. You both are. With that, I'll do what I can to help him."

"That's the kindest thing you've ever said, Ink", Blueberry says with a smile.

"Yeah, Yeah. Don't think too much of it", Ink replied with a small grin.

"I'll let you leave now then."

They said their goodbyes and Ink left, leaving Blue with Dream.
