I woke up from a dreamless sleep to hear a piercing and screeching noise. It sounded like someone was dragging a chair across the floor. It was so loud and annoying.

I jumped up and fell to the floor with my legs tangled in the sheets. It hurt for a minute before it stopped.

I groaned in annoyance as Jake laughed his heart put like a hyena on drugs.  Although he sounded adorable when he laughed.Why was he still here? I rolled my eyes and ignored him as I got up.

I could hear so many voices. They were so loud and were arguing. "What's going on?" I asked Jake when he stopped laughing.

He stood in front of my door as though he was guarding it. I narrowed my eyes at him. He just shrugged. He looked kinda hot doing that.

His eyes seemed brighter and his hair was in a perfect mess. His tight shirt outlined his six packs and his bulging biceps. Jake had really changed.

I wonder if he works out. Eeew, what the hell is wrong with me? Was I just checking him out?? Oh God, someone tell me what's happening.

"Take a picture. It lasts long." He said in a smug voice as he smirked at me. He had seen me checking him out. Why was I checking him out anyway??

"I would but there's not enough space in my phone for your big head so I won't even waste my time." I said

I mentally high gives myself for that comeback. I heard snickers around the house. Jake glared at me and I gave him the drink eyes as I folded my arms.

His eyes dropped to my chest and stayed there. I suddenly felt self conscious and blushed. I wasn't used to people staring at me.

I wasn't good with people and just ended up stuttering every time I talked. Only Jake could make me like thus. It was always better when I was with him.

But it doesn't change how I feel about Jeremy. I just don't want to pursue my feelings for him. I had lived in fairytale land for too long.

Noe I was back on earth and I have to face the fact that he has a mate so we can't be. Cause once he finds her, that's it. It hurts to think that I'm not his mate.

"Eyes up here buddy!" I snapped at him. Completely unashamed that o had caught him blatantly staring at my boobs, he stared at my face with hooded and list filled eyes.

"So what's going on?" I asked again as I grabbed the blanket and threw it messily on the bed. Jake sighed and moved to make the bed.

Oh Jake is a neat freak. He's also a perfectionist. His room is always so clean and neat, you'd think he doesn't sleep there.

"I invited some friends over and they're helping Damon and I to renovate Bella's room. Its a surprise so I have to make sure you won't leave." He said.

I stiffened at hat. "You should have asked me first. I'm not legally allowed to keep Bella
What if they..." Jake cut me off.

"They won't and besides it's Edward,Mason,Noah and Bella. You know how the boys are. You're like their little sister and Bella won't say anything." He said reassuringly.

I nodded. The boys got me drunk when we met first then some dude tried to kiss me and feel me up. They beat him up and became overprotective brothers ever since.

Did I know this Bella? Was it the same one from the mall? Because I would really like to see her again. Then I would win the bet against Jake.

I'm sure you're wondering what bet. Well Jake and I had a bet that if I made a female friend by myself, he would wear a skirt and do the hula.

I know it sounds stupid but it would be worth it. "But why couldn't anyone else have watched me? Why you?" I asked.

"First, they all said they didn't want to and second I had to bring your clothes from my place and unpack for you cause if it were left to you it would take a few years." Jake said.

My eyes widened at what he said. Did that include my underwear? Oh my God! I blushed a bright read as Jake smirked.

"Yes, it included your underwear. Every single piece." Jake answered. I smiled awkwardly and decided to divert the the conversation.

"So I can't go downstairs, what am I supposed to do? I'm bored." I whined. Jake rolled his eyes at me.

"Okay let's play truth or dare. Truth or dare Tar?" He asked as he sat down on the bed and criss crossed his legs.

I sat the same way he did so we were facing each other and I got a better view of his face. "Dare." I responded smugly.

Since I couldn't go out of my room, the dare wouldn't be too crazy. It would be better than spilling my secrets.

Then he smirked and his eyes gleamed with a mischievous glint. It was at that time that I knew that I was doomed.

"I dare you to kiss me... On the lips." He said smugly. I froze as my eyes widened. I was shocked. Why did he want me to kiss him? I thought he didn't want me. What do I do?

If I don't do it he'll call me a chicken. I mean I am one but I won't let him call me that.

"I'm waiting Tar or are you a chicken?" He teased. That was when an idea hit me. I got off the bed and ran to the table where I kept my books.

I know what you're thinking. She brought her books and left her clothes? That just proves how weird I am.

Bit I had settled in, finally. But it was still weird owning a house. I sat down, took a piece of paper and a pen and drew on it.

I drew a pair of lips and labeled it: Jake's lips. It looked horrible due to my awful drawing but it word do.

I showed him the paper and then kissed the lips. I turned to look at him and laughed at the look on his face.

It was priceless. He looked like a kid who had just been told that they couldn't eat candy anymore. Then he smirked and wiggled his fingers.

It took a while for me to get the message and when I do, I ran. I tried to get to the bathroom by arms wrapped around me and carried me. Sparks erupted everywhere.

Jake tossed me onto the bed and straddled my waist as hr began tickling me. I laughed uncontrollably. "S-stop! Ahahahah.." It was getting hard to breathe.

"Not until you kiss me." He said and began torturing me. I laughed and giggled as tears rolled out of my eyes.

"F-fine, i-ill d-do-i- it." I managed to choke out. Jake stopped and rolled over as I was now on top and straddling him. He was really serious.

I realized what an intimate position we were in but it didn't matter. U was really going to do it. Not!

"Close your eyes." I told him softly. He looked tense but obeyed. I stared at his soft pink lips. So perfect and inviting.

I leaned closer to his ear and slid my hands up his six packs to his chest. I could feel him shuddering at my touch. Then I burped into his ear.

He opened his eyes and bolted up. I fell back but clung to him as I laughed. Jake glared at me which made me laughed even more.

I laughed so hard until I was out of breath and even Jake was laughing. Hen my door burst open and Damon appeared.

He froze at the scene before him smirked at us. That was when our position came to mind. I tried getting off of him but he banded his arms around my waist and held me tight.

"Okay, so I'll ignore what I'm seeing but we're done with Bella's room and it looks awesome." He said excitedly.

Jake pushed me off him and got up. "Finally, let's go." He said and left with Damon. They both ignored me and acted like they were best friends.

I sighed  and got up to follow them. We entered the room and I squealed in excitement. The room was gorgeous.

White walls, cute pictures hanging on the walls, a cute baby crib painted white. The carpet was a soft pink colour.

The bed had pink sheets and looked so cute. All in all, they had fine and excellent job.

"Thanks guys, for everything. Its so lovely. How can I repay you?" I said. "Take us out for ice cream after the ball. You're coming right?" Mason asked.

I nodded. "Who're you going with?" Edward asked. I pointed to Jake.

Soon i met Bella and realized it was the same one from the mall. I was reunited with Jake's old friends who I consider as my brothers and it turned out that Bella was Edward's mate.

We all went to sit in the living room and watched Netflix while snacking on popcorn. Looking back at my past, i realized I had never been so happy.

Weirdly enough I sat next to Jake withy head in the crook of his neck and his arms around me. It just felt right.

"I found the perfect dress for the ball." He whispered in my ear. The feel of his hot breath  on my skin made me shiver.

He smelt so good and the lights were off so I did something I would have never done. It was crazy but it was with Jake so it was good.

The cowardly Tara who couldn't stand up for herself had turned brace around Jake. I loved the way he made me feel. As though I were the best person in the world.

I leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was soft and sweet. I saw a pink spot appear on his cheek as he smiled.

I thought it was a trick of the light. Jake Ashe doesn't smile and he definitely does not blush.
I leaned back and watched my friends with a quiet smile.

Bella NAD Edward were cuddled up and the boys were making faces at Bella as she giggled. I wishes I could freeze this moment.

I sighed in happiness and closed my eyes. I felt a kiss on my forehead before I fell asleep. I had finally settled in.

So the next chapter is Tara's birthday. Tara and Jake seem so cute. And it seems that finally my ship has sailed.
