Tara's POV
It's been a week. Elena and Braeden haven't left me alone. Now they corner me and let the jocks beat me up.

Sure I fight back but in the end they win. Because I can't practice magic in front of any one. Hell, no magic was allowed in the kingdom but I'm still practicing.

The tardy bell rang and i pick my bag and leave the class. I walk to my locker and take out my books before heading to Jake's car in the parking lot.

I leaned against it and waited for him. He was teaching me what I needed to know about being a vampire.

But he said we have to go to his house because his mom wants to see Bella. I'm a lady by Meghan Train or began playing.

I pulled out my phone. Tessa was calling me. "Hey!! I've missed you." I said.

"Aww, bitch. Of course you did. I'm awesome. Anyway, I shipped the things but since you live in the vampire kingdom there are some complications." She said.

I frowned at that. "What complications?" I asked.

"I got the herbs and the animals but since the book is full of spells they wouldn't let it pass through the border.

So I kinda turned it into ashes. You just have to use a restoring spell. Can you do it?" She asked.

"I can. That was very smart of you. Thank you for everything. I have to go now. Jake's coming." I replied.

She squealed like a pig and fangirled before hanging up. I rolled my eyes at me friend and put the phone in my pocket.

I watched as Jake approached me with a smirk on his face. He looked so hot it had to be illegal. I hope I'm not drooling.

Oh my God! Stop feeling! Remember the plan. Revenge, graduate,Athena Coven.

"Hey, future queen? Did you miss me?" He asked as he unlocked the door for me and bowed dramatically.

I rolled my eyes at his snug look. "Of course not. And come on, I said it once. Can't you let it go?" I asked him.

"Nope! Now come on I wanna go home, I miss my mama." He said. I laughed at him before he realized what he had said and blushed.

I laughed even harder. Jake blushing was a once in a lifetime thing. He sat and drove the car as I giggled beside him.

"Aww, it's okay. You're a mama's not and he proud of it." I said. He huffed and glared at me. "I'm not a mama's boy. And don't ever talk about this in public. Its embarrassing." He replied.

I don't know what came over me but I leaned close and gave him a small kiss on his cheek. "Well, I think it's adorable." I said.

He smiled so hard I thought his jaw would fall off. The rest of the drive was spent in a comfortable silence.

We picked Bella up at her school and as usual she loved Jake and sided with him on everything. That little traitor!! I'm taking away all her Kitkats.

I liked this. I felt calm and happy. But I couldn't get attached. I would leave him soon. Oh Jake!! If only my heart wasn't scared and my mind wasn't broken.

I like you and I could've loved you but I can't. Cause one day you'll leave me like everyone does.

The automatic gates opened on their own and Jake parked the car. He got out and rushed to open the door for me but I got out first.

He led me inside the building and we came first to first with the throne room. The palace was divided into two.

Half was for the king and queen and other royal dignitaries. The other half was like a normal house with a normal kitchen and everything.

Jake's room was on that side. He led me to his room as he went to see his mom. Once he left with Bella at his back, I rushed out of his room and towards the great library.

I looked around until I found the book. Weirdly, vampires and witches have books about each other. No! No! Where is it?

I couldn't find the restoring spell anywhere. Wait, restore! Yes!! I found it!

I tore the page and returned the book. I his the paper in my back pocket and ran out of the Great Library. I felt guilty but this was necessary.

"Hey, I've been looking for you. What were you doing you book worm?" Jeremy asked. I got my breathe under control and smiled at him.

"Oh, you know... Worming around with the books." I said nervously. We stared at each other awkwardly before we burst into laughter.

My heart fluttered a bit and I felt butterflies in my stomach. Then I felt arms wrap around me and pull me unto a strong and warm chest.

Judging by the sparks I knew it was Jake. The brothers had a stare off until Jake broke it and pulled me away.

We walked, well more like he dragged me to the living room. There were boxes everywhere and some were moving.

Bella was scared and his behind the queen who also his behind the king. The king poked one of the boxes with the royal staff and it moved as he jumped back.

I wondered what was happening. "Uhm... What's going on?" I asked. "Your mail arrived. Parts of it seem to be alive." The queen said in a shaky voice.

I smiled at the boxes. They were animals. Two of every kind that I would need. Male and female. They were sacrificial.

I hated using animal blood but I would need it. Then I frowned. How long had the animals been in the boxes? That could be suffocating.

I rushed and tore off the tape as I opened it. I stared at the cutest pair of sheep. One was white and the other black.

I kept opening each of them. The last one was a pair of snakes. I was scared at first but once they saw my necklace they called down.

I wonder why? I was so grateful to Tessa. She was truly a good friend. Including T, Edward,Noah,Mason and the Great Damon.

He insisted we called him the Great Damon. The other boxes were full of herbs and spell bowls for potions and candles and paper for drawing.

Its a special type of paper used for drawing. Then she got me a map of the world. This would come in handy for tracking down my sire.

The last was a small wooden box and in it lay the ashes. I cried a few tears of blood. I felt so happy.

"Uhm, honey... What the hell are you using these for?" The king asked. They looked like they hadn't seen animals before. Bella played with the sheep.

The goats chased Jake around. "Eeeew,get them off me!" T screamed. Wait T?

When I turned around she was standing as still as possible while the snake wrapped itself around her like a belt and began squeezing her.

I could see that it was hungry. I carefully put the box down and walked to a frozen T. Edward looked so horrified.

I mean his mate had a snake around her. "I'm sorry about that. She's just hungry." I apologized and wrapped my arms gently around the snake.

She coiled around my arm and lay there. I don't know how I did that. I'm terrified of snakes. What if she bites me? How did I know she was female?

Is this the gift I was given from my ancestors? Is this my birthday gift? "Come." I said to one rabbit.

It hooped and stooped right beside my feet. "Okay, enough of this. Tara, get the animals back in and we can talk about this." The king said.

I sighed. "Everyone get back into your boxes and stay." I ordered. They listened. The snake crawled until it was on the floor and slithered with its mate to the box.

I closed them all up and kept the box of ashes with me. "I need these items for my revenge. I need to practice magic so that I can find my sire and. The Masked Monster." I said.

"Absolutely not, you can't practice magic. Its forbidden and you've broken the rules already." The king said.

"I had a vision. Something is coming. I don't know what and I need to find out. If I don't we will all fall. Something is coming for your family and they won't stop until it's wiped out." I said.

"What do you mean?" Edward asked. "To find out what is happening I have to visit my ancestors. Since I'm not in the witch kingdome I have to go there myself." I said.

"What do you mean go there? Go where?" Damon asked. "As witches, the reagents are our links to the ancestors apart from their graves. I've been banished. In order to talk to them, I have to lead my soul into their world.

To do so, I need all these items and I need Jake." I said. I stared at him and he stared at me.

"I'm confuses. How do you need him?" Mason asked.

"My soul is going to leave me body. I need to have s connection to this world. He's that connection. If I don't have him, I might never return. " I said.

It was true. Going into the ancestral world was dangerous. I could die but it's worth the risk. I need to find out what the vision meant.

I saw us all going to war yet none of them returned alive. They all died and I can't let that vision come to pass. I also can't remember what happened when I was turned.

My ancestors may help me. If they don't, then I'm doomed. Noah was about yo say something when a loud bell rang through the palace.

It was so loud I could feel blood coming out of my sensitive ears. "What's happening?" I asked.

"There are witches in the castle. Guards!! Guards!!" The king calls out. I was going to reach for Bella but Jake was already cradling her in his arms.

Two guards arrived. "Get the queen and the rest unto the safe room and don't let anyone out." He ordered. The queen kissed him with tears in his eyes before she walked away.

Everyone except the boys and I left. Bella followed T with tears in her eyes. She wanted mommy. Oh my baby!!

"Tara, why are you still here? You're going with them." Jake ordered. I glared at him.

"I'm a witch. I can handle my own species better than anyone." I said. The lights went out.

I could see but it was creepy. I knew Jake wouldn't listen so I teleported. I didn't know where I was going.

Then I saw a witch. He was about to cast a spell when I rushed to him and punched him.

He fell back and I grabbed his head and banged it into the wall. He collapses onto the ground and I walked over his body.

He wasn't dead. Just unconscious. I kept moving around. A witch threw something at me. It was a dark object and it contained a banshee's scream.

I groaned in annoyance. It didn't hurt. I was part banshee. I couldn't scream because it would hurt the other vampires.

I punched her stomach and she hunched over. She reached to punch my face but I caught her fist and rammed my elbow into her head.

Just as she fell I felt my blood boiling up.. Then I felt immense pain in my chest. My heart. The witch had her hand around my heart and was pulling it out.

I fell onto my knees as I couldn't breathe. It hurt so much.  Before I could close my eyes I heard a scream. It was the queen. It was mom!!

It reminded me of my own mom. I hadn't protected her and she died
I wasn't about to lose this mother either. I grabbed her hand and squeezed.

I could feel her bones give way. Once she lost her grip I ripped her hand away and turned around to kick her in the head.

I ran to where I heard the scream. I couldn't hear much. My blood was pumping and I was covered in blood. I felt faint but I wouldn't allow her to die.

I had to save her. At some point the lights came on. When I reached the room I felt like dying. He queen lay with a dagger in her stomach.

"Oh my God!! Mom!! Don't close your eyes. Do it for the baby. We'll save you and the baby! Mom don't go!" Jake screamed.

The king looked like he was dying. She was pregnant? IH my God! How could they be so cruel. The child did nothing.

"We have to get the knife out of her." Jeremy said. I was in a daze. I was about to warn him but it was too late.

The queen was screaming in pain. She had tears rolling down her face. She was in exquisite pain and agony. I was so scared. My mid was going insane.

He pulled it out only to see half of the knife. "What have you done? You idiot!! You'll kill her, the knife will only go deeper. The blade has been cursed." I screamed.

I rushed to her and pushed them all away. I was thinking. "The box... The one with the ashes.... Get it." I yelled at them.

Within minutes it was in my grasp. I lured the ashes onto the floor and sat criss crossed as I began to chant.

I felt so weak but I was going to try my best. Let's hope it works.
