Chase's hand was wrapped around my wrist, pulling me towards the uneven path so quickly that I barely had time to turn and find Bella in the crowd.
Though I wanted to tell her that I was leaving, it seemed I didn't need to. She was already waving to me, a smile on her face as she shook her head at Chase and I. Asher was beside her, his arm wrapped around her shoulders. He was watching us as well, but his face wasn't similar to Bella's.
While Bella's looked like she found our sudden departure hilarious, Asher looked like an older brother who had watched his sibling climb a tree for the first time. Proud.
The path seemed shorter on the way down than it had on the way up. I wasn't sure if it was because Chase was the one guiding me this time, he was two steps in front of me. He clearly knew this path well, even though it was almost dark now, the sun had began to set a few minutes ago. His feet seemed to know where they needed to land without him having to check.
"Wait," Chase let out, stopping just as we finally made it into the small parking lot. He came to a sudden stop, I almost crashed into his back.
He turned, dropping my wrist and grabbing my waist with both of his hands, his thumbs landing just above my hip bones.
"What?" I asked him, confused as to what he was doing.
He didn't answer immediately, he only pushed me gently, turning me clockwise and pushing me back. My feet answered his commands instantly, but out of fear of walking backwards and falling, I placed my hands over his own.
Chase eyes were focused on what was behind me, as he seemed to be lining me up with something. When the I seemed to fit into whatever equation he saw, he stopped his movement, and by effect, mine as well.
"The sunset," he said finally, answering my unspoken question.
Chase only let one of his hands fall from my waist, he dug into his pocket with it, pulling out his phone. He held it on in front of him, but he didn't back up the way I expected him to. He simply placed the phone in front of my face, and I was nervous due to the proximity of the camera.
"Isn't this too close?" I muttered, hearing the cellphone manufactured shutter begin to click.
"You are the last person who should be afraid of a camera, Indie," Chase said softly, his eyes still on the phone screen. "It doesn't matter whether it's close to you or far away, it can only capture what's in front of it. And, there's only beauty to capture when the lens is pointed at you."
I blushed at his words, biting down on my lip. The longer I looked at Chase, the more a new feeling began to erupt inside of me. And I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure it was lust.
"Okay," Chase let out, finally dropping the camera from in front of me. "Please, let's go now."
I nodded, my heart rate starting to increase as he pulled me towards his car. He opened the passenger door for me, and I slid into the cloth seat. I took a deep breath as he closed the door, my mind both nervous and excited at the thought of what was about to happen.
I was lost in those thoughts as Chase slid into the driver's seat. He wordlessly started the engine, one of his hands falling on the steering wheel and the other falling onto my thigh. He effortlessly began to pull the car out of the parking lot and onto the empty road.
I was nervous. Sure, we've slept in the same bed before. We've kissed. But, there was a corresponding theme between the way my insides were swirling and the darkness that was in Chase's eyes. There was an equal amount of need in the way his hand was digging into my skin and the way my heart was pounding.
Chase pulled onto his street, and though a part of me was glad that he felt comfortable taking me back to his house again, the other part of me protested.
"Chase?" I said, his head flicked towards me immediately, as if he was surprised I had said something.
"We can, uh, we can go to your house," I told him, hoping my words didn't completely betray the idea behind them. "But, there's a lot of people there... and, well... there's no one at my house."
I watched Chase as he absorbed my words, the way his jaw tensed as I said them. I expected him to answer, he didn't. He only looked back over his shoulder, before pulling a sudden U turn, changing the direction we were driving from his house to mine.
I don't know whether the drive felt so short because of the way my chest was tight, or the way my stomach was blooming. I watched Chase as he drove. He was tense, his eyes focusing completely on the road, his jaw still clamped down. I wondered why he was so tense, I wondered what he was thinking.
When he pulled into my driveway, he didn't hesitate before jumping out of the car, as if he was in a hurry. But... hey, maybe we were.
He opened my door for me, his hand extending to take mine as he pulled me from the car. He closed the door with his other hand, before it wrapped around my waist as we began to walk. It took me a few tries to fit my key into the lock with the amount of adrenaline that was pumping through my veins.
"Indie," Chase said once we had entered into my quiet house. His voice was low again, but it held a slight shake to it, just like my hands.
"Wait," I told him, shaking my head. I simply took his hand, leading him up the stairs. He wordlessly followed, and I flash-backed to the time we had done the same thing before.
I turned back to look at him as I pushed my bedroom door open. He didn't look around at the decor this time, his eyes were focused on mine. He looked as serious as I had ever seen him.
"Indie," Chase said again, but I only continued to pull him towards my bed.
"Mr. Sutton," I mused, a small smile coming to my lips. He didn't return it, his lips still formed a straight line. "No more talking."
I didn't have time to internally wonder what had come over me before I pressed my body against his. He didn't hesitate, his lips finding mine the way they had been earlier at the hole. His hands wrapped around me, his fingers grasping the delicate red material that covered my torso.
He pushed against me, forcing my body to fall on the mattress. Chase seamlessly moved on top of me, our lips never leaving each other's for a second. His hands skimmed down the sides of my body, every place he touched being set on fire like he was the flame and I was gasoline.
Suddenly, he pulled back, his eyes darting across my face. I barely had time to wonder why, as he took my hand in his, laying it against his chest in a specific spot. His heart, I could feel the beats beneath my skin.
"Do you feel that?" Chase asked me, his voice was breathless in the same way I felt. "Do you feel that Indie?"
I nodded, my stomach doing a somersault at the emotion in voice.
"That's what I feel when I'm around you," he continued, his heartbeat further quickening as if to prove his point. "That's what I feel when I see you, that's how I feel when I hear your name. It's how I feel when you look at me," he paused, staring into my eyes. "That's how you make me feel."
I clenched my hand into a fist, gathering his shirt between my fingers as I pulled him back into me. I took his words, his sincerity in the way he said them. It made me feel something too, in my heart and between my legs.
I let out a short breath, almost like a gasp. "What else do I make you feel?"
His lips found my neck at the same time a small groan escaped from his mouth, the feeling vibrating against my skin in a way I felt in my stomach.
"Everything," Chase said between kisses, "you make me feel everything because you are everything, Indie."
"Everything?" I let out, my voice barely a sigh, remembering the last time he had said those words. I was far more focused on the way Chase's hands were roaming my body than I was on controlling the way I sounded.
My dress had ridden up, and his hands had found their way under it. His touch was moving across my bare skin like he was trying to touch every part of me.
"Everything, to me," Chase let out, and I didn't know it was possible to be affected so greatly by the simple words escaping someone's mouth.
"Everything," I repeated, my head falling further back as Chase's mouth moved to my chest.
His hands slid the straps off my shoulders, exposing me even further. I could barely focus on any one thing, except the need that was growing inside me of.
"I want," I said, pausing to take a breath, "everything with you."
Chase's mouth stopped its movements, the way I knew it would at those words. He lifted his head, his eyes finding mine again as though he needed to confirm my meaning.
"Are..." he started, "do you mean..."
"Yes," I told him, cutting him off. "I, just, I haven't before."
"And... you're sure, Indie? You're sure you want that with me?" Chase confirmed as if he couldn't believe what I was saying.
"Yes," I told him, taking his hand. "Like I said, I want everything with you."
Chase's eyes narrowed, as he looked at me, but only for a second until his moved towards me again. He caught my lips with his, kissing me with an even deeper desperation than I knew was possible.
At the same time his mouth danced with mine, his hands worked to free my body of my dress. I barely even noticed the sensation of my body being freed, the pleasure he was inflicting on my body was consuming my brain entirely. I wondered how he was so skillful at removing my clothes, and then his, yet never breaking our kiss for longer than a single second at a time.
My hands landed on his bare chest, as his shirt fell to the floor. It was my turn to explore his body, feeling the way his muscles were tensed. Though I could only concentrate on my exploration for a second, before I felt one of his hands below me.
One of his fingers entered me, slowly. "Let me know if anything hurts you, okay, Indie?"
I nodded, my mind reeling from the amazing feeling he had already caused. He moved slowly, delicately, but precisely, knowing exactly how to elicit the right response from my body.
He pulled away, his breathing spiked as he leaned over the bed, digging into the pocket of his pants. I knew what he was looking for, the nerves swelling again as I prepared my self for what was about to happen.
Though, I wasn't nervous, or worried. This felt right. Chase felt right.
Chase positioned his body back over mine, his eyes were swirling with a darkness that made me want to pant. He paused, one his hands landing on my face, his thumb swiping my cheekbone.
"Are you sure, Indie?" He asked me again, "you can't go back, you need to tell me that you're sure."
I nodded, pushing my face up to meet his in another kiss. "I'm sure, Chase."
He nodded, but he didn't quite look convinced. He seemed to be battling his lust with his hesitancy.
"Please," I finally let out, desperate to ease the waves of need that was flooding though me. I had never felt like this, not with any other boy.
Chase closed his eyes at my singular word, just a second, before he opened them again. He seemed to give himself into his lust, as he slowly pushed into me. Every small movement made me gasp, until finally the discomfort gave way, my body relaxing and shouting relief that it had finally found what it was desperate for.
"You are fucking everything," Chase repeated slowly, "you are god damn fucking everything."
