Re-Written/Chapter 3

I quietly opened the door, hoping not to disturb them.
But they weren't trying to go sleep, at least Yotsuha wasn't.
"Finally you're home! I thought you'd been kidnapped or something!" She exclaimed rolling her eyes and sighing.
Acting like a teenager when you're only nine? Yikes. I wonder what she would be like as an actual teenager.
"Sorry about that but I told you that I was safe."
"Yeah but still. I thought you were lying."
"Well I wasn't, as you can see. Has Granny gone to bed?"
"Yeah. I said I would wait for you to actually get home first before I would. So, goodni-. Hey. What's written all over your hands? Does that one say I love you? Seriously? Already found someone to date you in Tokyo?"
"WHAT. Ummm. I have no clue what you're talking about!" I exclaimed in embarrassment and frustration.
"According to that huge blush across your face, you do know what you're talking about but you don't want to tell me."
I slapped my other hand across my face, trying to hide the blush but actually making it all worse.
"OH MY GOSH! THAT HAND HAS WRITING ON THE BACK OF IT TOO! Taki Tachibana? SO YOU ARE IN LOVE. Already? We just arrived...jeez....Also, are you desperate for a tattoo or something?"
"Noooooooooooo I don't want to talk about this and no I don't want a tattoo. I promise I'm not rushing into anything-- I-I-ve known this person for a while, I promise."
"You met on the internet? Like I don't have problems with people having internet friends but Sis, meeting up - especially in the dark - is risky."
"You can stop worrying, it wasn't from the internet. It's a long story. Can I just go to bed now?"
"Go ahead but if you were that desperate to sleep you wouldn't be back so late."
"Whatever. Goodnight."

I know I should be happy that I know get to sleep in a real bed but, come on. It's not home and I'm not used to it yet.
My head hurts from processing this crazy week.
Itomori. I hated living there but as much as I wanted to leave and actually move to Tokyo, I didn't want the town and all the memories to be destroyed.

This is what I always wanted right?
I should be happy.

But you can't be happy at a time like this. Even if you have now got Taki's number.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><>

I woke up at 6am from the sound of my ringtone. It was now nice and relaxing, starting the say at a good note. But even nice relaxing music gets annoying on repeat over and over again so eventually I had to give in and think about getting out of bed.
Out of habit, my hand went down to my side, searching for my phone. But all I could feel was air.

Since I had only just woken up, my brain was all confused. I started thinking that it was another day as Taki. But when I got up, that's whe  reality hit me.

We moved. How could I forget that? It's crazy. Stupid brain.

After getting in my new school uniform, I walked into the kitchen and started to make breakfast.

"Granny, Yotsuha, I made breakfast!" I shouted.
Yotsuha came in with bags under her eyes and yawning.
"Mitsuha, do you know where Granny is?"
"No, why? What?"
"I checked and she's not here."
"WHAT? I can't see a note? She probably went out for groceries or something, we are running low. I'll try call her and text her, eat your breakfast, our train to school leaves soon."
"Ok."

I looked at the letter that said what school we were going to and was surprised. Taki's school?
I can't believe it.
I guess fate is completely on our side this time. I texted him as soon as he gave me his number but I was sure he would be to busy to actually meet up with me.

I can now see why we need the train....
I was running for ages yesterday, lucky I left quite early. It was an exhausting run but I'm good at running so it wasn't as bad as it could of been.

"Yotsuha, do you have your train ticket?"
"Yep."
"Good. Granny should be back when we come back from school, okay? Don't worry. I'm sure it'll all be perfectly fine."

I lock up the house and then try call Granny again. She doesn't pick up, so I decide to leave a voicemail.

"Hey, Granny, you didn't leave a note of where you were going so I just though I'd call to check up on you. Me and Yotsuha are heading to school now, and don't worry, I've locked up the house. I'll see you when we come back. Bye."

Yotsuha turns around hopeful, "What did she say?"

"Oh, she didn't pick up. It was a voicemail. I'm sure she's fine, she probably doesn't know how to message us."

I can tell that Yotsuha doesn't believe me. Even I don't believe me anymore. Something in my gut tells me that it's not okay. What do I do if she doesn't return? Where do I go? Who do I ask to help us find her?

"Sis?" Yotsuha asks looking concerned, staring right at me.

"Yeah?"

"I want to go home." Her eyes eventually stopped fighting and let the tears roll down her cheeks. As I put my arms around her to give her a hug, that's when it hit me harder than it ever had in the last few days.

Oh god. This is all I wanted. All I dreamed about, all I cared about. I would wish for it everyday. But this is never what I had dreamed for it to be. Everyone I care about is in pain because of it. When you get to where you always wanted to go, all that you cared about, and realise that it really wasn't what you want, it crushes you. What do you do? Sure, I had thought about this a lot over the last few days but right now, thinking about it, makes me want to cry. To go home. I want to go back to everything familiar. I know that Tokyo is my dream but moving here without notice, and for such an awful reason, doesn't make you feel good. At all.

I need to focus on getting to school and making sure I fit in. Yes. Okay.

"Yotsuha, come on, lets get going. the train leaves soon." I mumbled while putting on a stern, straight face.

We walk there in silence, although I think she doesn't realise that I can see her glancing at me loads. Eventually, we get on the train and carry on saying absolutely nothing. I can see that she has cheered up a bit now but I've got a feeling it's a fake smile.

At one stop, a wave of students enter but I can recognise his ruffled hair a mile away.

"Taki?"
"Yeah, what?" He groans while staring at his phone.
Getting no response, he looked up from his phone and saw me standing in front of him.
"Mitsuha?"
I nodded and he pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so glad you're here."
"Me too."

"Hey, are you Mitsuha' s boyfriend?"
I jumped and turned around to see Yotsuha with a massive smirk on her face.
"Boyfriend?" He asked and blushed.
"Yep that's what I said."
"H-Hi Yotsuha."
"How do you know my name?"
"Umm... because... I've told him about you!" I stutter. Will she buy it? I hope so.

"Hard to believe, but okay. This is my stop, losers. Bye!"

"So.... how are you?"
"Fine. Mitsuha? Do you want to go somewhere after school?"
"I guess...yeah. Sure."
Was he asking me out? This is weird. I kinda hope so though.

"It's my stop, I'll text you about this afternoon, K?"
"Well actually, this is my stop too. I realised this morning that I am going to your school."
"Really? That's awesome!"
I nodded and smiled while we walked off of the train together.
"It's bigger than the schools you had in Itomori, as you know, so I'll show you around, but you should already know where you're going."

It looks the exact same as it did the last time I was there.

"Ok class. We have some new students. This is Mitsuha Miyamizu, Tesshi, Saya...." and she carried on.

"Taki I want you to show Mitsuha around, Tsukasa you show Tesshi around and Tayaki show Saya around please."

My luck the past few days, huh!

"Mitsuha do you like our new school? Do you like your welcome buddy? I like mine, he's nice."
"Saya I'm fine and that's great but don't even think about falling in love with someone who is not Tesshi. That would destroy me because you are the perfect match."
"You're never going to stop shipping us." She sighed.
"She's such a matchmaker" Taki said glaring at me.
"Hehe!"
"Talking about shippings I'm reading this book on Wattpad about Precious metal...." Tesshi began
"Shut up about Gold and Silver already!" Saya shouted at him
"Wow! Tesshi ships something! That's new" I laughed.
"Also I'm reading Pokémon Adventures The Fandom Series by @Peanutsfan1."
"Of course you are! Let me guess it's got Precious metal?"
"Yep probs cause that's her OTP..."
"Hey Tesshi. Who do you think we should ship Mitsuha with?"
"That boy. Her welcome buddy Taki."
"Good idea!"

Me and Taki both blushed for the hundredth time this week.
"No way." We both said at the same time and looked the other way.
"LOOK YOUR BOTH BLUSHING! I BET YOUR GOING OUT TONIGHT!"
"WHAT!"
"Yep. Oh and Mitsuha, your sister bumped into me on the way here and told me you were in love...soooo yeah..."
"Stupid Devil. Can never keep a secret."

"SO IT'S TRUE!!!" She squealed, drawing attention to us. Great. Now everyone can't stop staring.

"Look gotta go to lesson now bye!"
"We are in the same...."
I waved goodbye to Saya and Tesshi and carried on talking to Taki.

Not a bad start I guess.

So that's another re-written chapter done.

Thanks so much for reading, it means a lot.

Stay tuned!
