Author's POV:

"Ms. Y/N, you are late for work. again." Mr Lee said as you looked down apologizing. You overslept again for the 309324th time in the office but thank god Mr Lee always considered you as his little sister causing your job to still exist.
"Sorry, Mr Lee." You looked down as he nodded.
"We will be going for lunch with Mr Kim." He said as you choked on your breath.
Being a secretary was REAL hard, wasn't it?

"B-But." You were talking as he hissed at you.
"No buts. Let's go." He said as you looked down nodding.

---During Lunch

"Hello, Mr Kim." Mr Lee said extending his hand as Taehyung gladly accepted it doing a handshake greeting him back. Looks friendly?!
"Hello ms Y/N." He said extending his hand as you glared at him before ignoring him.
"Ms Y/N?" Mr Lee called you as you looked at him smiling before accepting Taehyung's hand while muttering, "annoying jerk." He just let out an airy laugh making Mr Lee confused as you three sat down quietly.

They both were talking about some business affairs while you sat there listening to them, completely bored out which didn't go unnoticed by Taehyung.

You took out your phone waiting for any texts from Hyunjin but saw nothing. You sighed keeping it back.

"Am I right, Ms Y/N?" Mr Lee suddenly asked but you were clueless since you weren't listening to them anyway. You coughed before nodding hesitantly as Taehyung who was noticing you chuckled looking down.
Mr Lee looked at him confused as he took out the files before handing them to Mr Lee.

"Deal completed then." He said as Mr Lee nodded. They both shook hands while you glared at the salad you ordered.

You 3 got out of the restaurant as Taehyung bid you both a goodbye leaving in his car.
"You can take a leave from now." Mr Lee said as you looked at him confused.
"You seemed very tired today. Just go rest. Come from tomorrow." He said as you smiled brightly at him.
"Thank you!!" You said bowing as he nodded. Definitely, he was the best CEO one could ever see.

----Time skip

"Since I have a day off, should I call Hyunjin?" You asked yourself giggling before turning on your phone to call Hyunjin but suddenly heard a horn from behind as you looked behind to see Taehyung smiling at you.
"What is he doing..?" You mumbled before moving away. He stopped the car before opening the window gesturing you to come near him. You sighed going towards him,

"What are you doing here?" He asked as you said, "Mr Lee gave me a day off." He nodded saying, "Get in then!" He said as you scrunched your brows.

"What? why?" You asked as he coughed before saying, "Umm, I noticed you didn't have your lunch. So I figured you'd be hungry." He said as you replied, "Well I have plans so-" You were cut off by him saying, "Ahh.. I know you must be busy! But actually, I wanted to take you out on dinner as an apology for all the mess that happened." He said as you thought for a while.

"Then.. wait a second." You said before going a little far from him calling Hyunjin but he didn't pick up. You sighed before turning off the phone going near him.
"Let's go then." You said as he grinned nodding. You got in before saying, "I am sure you don't have to do that.." You said hesitating as he shook his head.

"I should apologize for causing inconvenience to a beautiful lady." He said as you scoffed looking on the other side.
"What a flirt!" You muttered under your breath which was audible for him but he chuckled pretending not to hear you.

The entire time, you were just staring outside through the window while Taehyung stole random glances at you from time to time while driving.

"We are here." He said stopping in front of an Italian restaurant. You looked at the restaurant before mumbling, "This looks familiar." You heard Taehyung say, "This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Seoul, Brera." He said as you made an 'O' shape.
"No wonder seemed familiar." You mumbled before following him.

He went forward before moving the chair as he said, "Sit here." You just nodded blankly sitting while he sat in front of you.
"What would you like to order?" A waiter came and asked as Taehyung took the menu before asking, "What would you like?" You looked at the menu before saying, "Chicken Alfredo." You said as he nodded, "Drinks?" He asked as you said, "Water." You said kind of feeling awkward, why on earth did you even agree to him?

"I'd like the same." He said to the waiter as you looked away before mumbling, "Why does he give me such weird vibes?" You muttered under your breath.
"Did you say anything?" He asked as you fake coughed shaking your head.
"Oh no.." You said as he looked down before speaking, "About the day we first met... I actually didn't mess around and got your number for flirting but actually, I had a situation." He said as you replied, "Yeah you said that at least 10 times." You said as he chuckled before saying,

"I was being followed." Your headshot up as confusion took over your face. Followed? By who?

Author's POV:

"Followed?" You asked as he nodded.
"Since I am the CEO of such a big gaming company, I do get threats from many people and that time, they even sent a spy thinking I wouldn't know. So, I had called the police in advance that day and he was about to go but I had to distract him from me so the police catch him. And on my way, I found you... so I kinda took a help without consent." He said awkwardly as you sighed.

"Seems like you really had a situation so I guess I should forget it.. though it was an important date." You mumbled the last part as he smiled.
"And I am sorry for throwing away your coat too.." You said looking down as he chuckled.
"It's okay, it was just some $700 dollars.." He said mockingly as you made a 'tch' at him.

"But what about your flirting and annoying me while messaging?" You asked as he coughed looking away awkwardly when suddenly the waiter came in as he escaped the situation.

"Here is your order." The waiter said giving you both the food as you started eating. You were about to drink your water when you accidentally pushed his glass too causing the glass to fall on the table and the water spill on his food and some on him too.
Your eyes widened as you looked up to see him shocked and frozen. You mentally cursed your damn luck before saying, "I-I... I- t-this.. I am s-sorry!" You said totally not understanding what to say, of course, the amount of damage you had already done to him.

"Ah... it's okay." He said still shocked as you made a fake crying face looking down which didn't go unnoticed by him. He saw your cute face and smiled.

"It's okay." He said before calling a waiter and cleaning the mess.
"I am so sorry..." You said feeling down as he laughed making you look at him confused.

"It's okay. It's okay. I didn't mind." He said as you asked, "Why wouldn't you mind? I messed something in every meeting we had...though sometimes it was your fault too.." You mumbled the last part as he chuckled saying, "I just don't feel like getting mad at you." He said as you eyed him weirdly.

"Again.." You muttered under your breath before sighing. You both went to the cash counter before paying and exited as you thought for a while.
You fake coughed grabbing his attention before saying, "Since I ruined the lunch, let me treat you to dessert. You didn't let me pay for lunch either.." You mumbled as he looked at you impressed before saying, "Why do you always add a defending sentence at the end?" He asked as you coughed.

"I like it though.." He said before adding, "Let's go then~" He said swaying his body excitedly as you eyed him weirdly before sighing. But you were a little hesitant about what you just said. Were you being too friendly with him? What if it gives him the wrong idea?

---At a dessert shop

"How could you pick a dessert shop literally 30 minutes away from that restaurant?!" You asked as he replied, "I am a picky eater." He said as you sighed.
"How picky can someone be!" You mumbled before checking your phone. No messages from Hyunjin... You looked down sadly as Taehyung suddenly spoke, "Are you waiting for someone's text?" He asked as you nodded.

"Lemme guess.. your fiancee?!" He asked as you looked at him surprised.
"How do you...k-know?" You asked as he smirked before saying, "Isn't that obvious? You are literally floating in the air full of love~" He said as you blushed looking down but suddenly spoke another thing making your entire mood gets ruined.

"I better wear a mask from now on." He said as you glared at him. He coughed awkwardly before saying, "Okay, my bad." He said as you sighed before munching on your red velvet pastry.
You looked at him devouring his banana flavoured doughnut.

"Why do you like that?" You asked as he looked at you cluelessly before thinking.
"Hmm... I don't know?" He asked as you looked at it before saying, "I've never seen someone try out such weird stuff." You said eyeing him weirdly as he said, "It's not weird at all. Wanna try?" He asked before cutting a piece of the doughnut and forwarding it to you.

"Don't you think we are still not close enough to be like this?" You asked as he sighed.
"We met at least 5 times. Talked like- 7 times? And... we even had lunch together!" He said as you scratched your neck looking away mumbling, "You're still the CEO of the gaming company doing a collaboration with the CEO of the company I work for." You mumbled as he said, "I can hear you." You coughed awkwardly as he giggled.

"What is so funny?" You asked as he shrugged before smiling down.
"Just HAVE it." He said stuffing the doughnut piece in your mouth making your eyes widen.
"Ohho! Y-Wo-" You were chewing while glaring at him as he smiled at you.

"Talking while eating is bad manners." He said as you rolled your eyes eating. But to your surprise, it was DISGUSTING!
"Disgusting!" You said drinking water as he looked at you offended.
"It is good!" He said as you rolled your eyes.
"It's not! Why did I even agree to come to lunch with you." You said as he chuckled.

"It's called destiny." He said as you looked at him weirdly.
"What destiny? Where do you find destiny? Why are you treating me so casually?" You asked as he replied, "Do you realize you're talking to me casually too?" He asked as you looked down.

"Realization hitting like a truck.--that's what your face says." He says as you scoffed stuffing the red velvet pastry in your mouth as he chuckled.
