Author's POV: 

It was morning and you all were on the bus ready to go back. But of course, it wasn't as chaotic as usual. Mostly because of the time which was 6:37 am. No one was feeling energetic after staying awake almost the entire night and getting up at 6 am. Everyone was almost sleeping including you. 
You looked at Taehyung who was sitting beside you. He was watching a video on youtube. You sighed looking at the title, 'How to sleep 9 hours sleep in 2 hours' 
"What a pitiful man.." You muttered sighing. 

You were supposed to sit with Hyunjin as per the others but Hyunjin ended up sitting with Mr Lee. Of course, he was intelligent unlike you. 

---Time skip

You stared at Taehyung who was sitting beside you trying his best to sleep but couldn't.
"Why can't you fall asleep?" You asked Taehyung who sighed saying, "I don't know." He was looking very awkward and uneasy and you knew why. Who would be sane after embarrassing themselves by confessing to their crush? 
"Are you embarrassed because of yesterday? You ignored me the entire time." You spoke as he looked at you awkwardly, not sure how to reply. 
"Uhh..." He was stuttering making you chuckle.

"Couldn't you have done it earlier?" You asked as he looked at you confused and surprised. 
"For you to reject me like that? You're indirectly teasing me right now as well." He spoke a little embarrassed as you giggled.
"What's so funny? I can't even show some attitude because you treat me like a kid." He spoke looking completely irritated as you sighed saying, "Do you want me to call you a man when you don't behave like one?" 
"Fine, I'll move on from you. It's just some weird temporary feelings. You don't have to mock me like that. I know you don't like me back! Don't embarrass me now." He spoke as you shouted, "Are you being serious right now? Do you want a beating?" 

You weren't buying the fact that he'd move on from you. Not after you falling for him so hard. 
"If your feelings are just so temporary, why would you confess? You're annoying. Now give me your hand, I'm sleepy." You spoke bluntly putting your head on his shoulder closing your eyes as he looked at you shocked.
"What are you- Why are you doing this? Your fiance is right there-" He was speaking but you cut him off saying, "I'm single. I'll tell you everything later. For now, shut up and don't act like a saint cause I know you aren't one. Heh, talk about the times you intentionally did skinship with me. Now it's all clear, you pervert." 
He huffed not knowing what to say. 
'She isn't getting mad but even making me confused. Nothing makes sense right now! Or is it just me?' He thought sighing. 

---Time skip

"We're here!!" Mina spoke jumping down the bus as you sighed following her. Taehyung who was behind you stood beside you awkwardly. He saw how you and Hyunjin were smiling at each other.
"Is she trying to do something weird with me?" He asked himself looking at you suspiciously.
"She looks too innocent for that though." He sighed as Mr Lee came towards him saying, "Yah! I need to talk to you! Come with me!!" Taehyung sighed knowing Mr Lee would investigate him about where he was last night. 

---At home 

You got freshened up and sat on your desk looking at the perfume package. 
"Hyunjin and I sorted it all out. Now, we only need to sort out the family things. It wouldn't be that hard, after all, Mum and dad are understanding after all. Hyunjin's parents too. Hope everything goes well." You said to yourself sighing before taking your phone. 
You texted Hyunjin asking him about the matter. He said that he would talk to his parents and arrange a lunch where you both would confront yourselves. 

"Who knew I'd be doing this? I couldn't have imagined this- not even a year ago." You chuckled before looking at the date. 
"It was May when I first him during Spring. Come to think of it, Spring is called the season of love though. Maybe it has logic after all." You smiled keeping the phone on the desk. You wanted to text Taehyung but knowing how he'd misunderstand the entire situation and whine like a kid, you didn't. 
"At first a creep, then a friend, then a best friend and then- Tch, that jerk completely scammed me with the name of friendship! I didn't know I was going to end up falling for him!" You sighed trying to shrug off your thoughts as you got up going to check up on your parents. 

--3 days later

You were currently sitting in front of your and Hyunjin's parents as Hyunjin and you talked everything out to them.
"Mistakes happen but I'm glad our kids handled it maturely." Mr Hyun spoke as your dad replied, "True. Arranged marriages don't always work either. Their feelings or minds can change. But what matters is how they handle it. I'm a little sad to not be able to call Hyunjin my future son-in-law but, life goes on." 
"Of course! Our relation won't go downhill because of this! We're glad you both told us everything." Your mother said as you smiled.

"BE happy, you both." Mrs Hyun spoke as you and Hyunjin smiled at them. After a pleasant and warm lunch at the Hyuns, you were now on your way back home. You texted Taehyung while sitting in the car. 

'Yah! Let's meet today. At 4 pm sharp, no excuses or I'll murder the teddy bear you gifted me.' 

"He'll care about that teddy bear more than his house. Otherwise, I would've said I'd burn his house." You sighed as your mom looked at you confused. You smiled shrugging it off. 

---Time skip

"Why on earth did you call me to an arcade? What are we going to do?" He asked as you smiled saying, "What do you think people do in an arcade? Count sheep?" He scoffed saying, "You used to be a chicken finger but you're too bold now." You scoffed at him saying, "Let's go in!!!" 

"One one one! YES! I won!!"
"You're unfair!! Y/N!!!!"
"DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!!!!!!"
"Is she going to kill me next..."
"Taehyung! SLOW DOWN!! I can't walk so fast! Tch, you were all moody and now are enjoying too much here!"
"Of course, your fault for bringing me here~"
"Yah! Come here Y/N!"
"Can you shut up? I am doing something."
"Counting buttons? Yeah, sure!"

Almost 2 hours passed in the arcade as you and Taehyung did all sorts of things, played all sorts of games and enjoyed while bickering. You were feeling very happy and relieved. 
"Let's have dinner together. I'm hungry and also, you're paying." Taehyung spoke as you smiled nodding.
"Did she just smile and not scoff?!" He scratched his neck confused while following you. 

---During dinner 

"Yummy! This tastes the best as usual!" Taehyung spoke chewing the pork belly as you sighed.
"So many things to eat and you only want pork belly." You spoke as he replied, "You don't have a taste." 
"Tch, I think that too. Maybe I don't have taste for real." You spoke eyeing him. He nodded not even knowing how he was roasting himself.

---After dinner

"Ahh!! I ate well!" Taehyung spoke walking towards the car. 
"Yah, I have somewhere to take you." You spoke smiling as he looked at you confused. 
"Come." You spoke as he followed you. 

While you were driving he asked, "Y/Nah. Can I ask you something?" You looked at him confused.
"Aren't you mad at me?" He asked.
"Why would I be?" You asked him not sure of what he meant. 
"I confessed to you that day even after knowing you're arranged to someone else, you like someone else." He spoke as you smiled saying, "So what should have I done? Break our friendship?" He looked at you unsure as you smiled. 

"Yah, feelings aren't something we control. We end up falling for people we couldn't even imagine being in our life. Of course, it's a little weird knowing how you had feelings for me all this while. I mean, we slept in the same house, shared so many moments... it's a little weird but that doesn't change the fact that we're friends. We're like best friends. And all the moments I shared with you, I think that's enough for me to know how trustworthy you are. And I can't lose someone like you just because of some feelings. It's also very uncool.." You spoke as he said, "Looks like we reversed roles." You laughed along feeling the warmth in the atmosphere.

Suddenly, the car stopped in front of the park near your house making Taehyung frown. 
"Why are we here?" He asked as you smiled saying, "You'll know." 

Getting in the park, he ran towards the cotton candy maker making you sigh. Of course, people don't change easily. You both took your cotton candies before walking in the park.
"Let's sit there!" You spoke pointing towards the swing just to see him walking there already. 
"What was I expecting.." You sighed walking towards him who was sitting on the swing.

"This is yummy!" He spoke as you smiled.
"Is this why you brought me here?" He asked while enjoying his cotton candy as you spoke, "I called off our marriage with Hyunjin. We both talked to our families today during lunch and ended everything." Taehyung stopped eating and looked at you in disbelief.
"What are you saying?" He asked as you replied, "I'm serious. I lost feelings for him- months ago. Probably somewhere around the time I met you. But I didn't realize. It was just the habit of liking him, not the sincere feelings. Somewhere, they disappeared." 
He looked at you with sad eyes. You stared deep into his eyes as a smile appeared on your lips. 

"I don't regret it. I am happy." You smiled brightly as he looked at you softly. 
"Won't you miss him?" He asked as you chuckled saying, "Is that what you should worry about right now? Shouldn't you be happy that you get a chance to steal me?" He looked at you with wide eyes.
"You don't even know what you mean.." He spoke as you looked at him saying, "I do though." He looked at you not knowing how to reply. 

"I know I'm slow-witted and dumb but.. I think I like you."
