Author's POV: 

"The dinner was yummy!" You said to your mom before going to your room. Sitting on the bed, you quickly wrapped Mina's gift cutely before writing a handmade card which was of course, full of curses. Not much later, you finished your work and stored the gift for now. 
"Ah, his one- Why did I suddenly buy that ToTo perfume?" You scoffed before taking it out of the bag.
"I don't know- whatever!" You sighed before keeping the perfume back in the paper bag as you kept it on the desk.
"I'll just give it to him when we meet someday." You said to yourself before seeing a text from Hyunjin.

'Goodnight. I didn't forget today.' 

Looking at the text, you sighed. 
"What is he trying so hard for?" You asked yourself. You weren't exactly feeling happy or excited. Though you were a little relieved, you didn't know why you weren't feeling the same anymore.
"Is it just a mood swing or am I not in love anymore?" You asked yourself but quickly shrugged it off.

"How can I suddenly lose feelings for someone I liked for 10 years..." You sighed before doing your skincare. An hour passed by and now you were on your bed about to go to sleep when your phone binged with a notification. You frowned taking a look at it. But your frown hardened as you saw it was from Mina. 
"What was I thinking? Tch, weird. Why was I thinking about Taehyung?" You asked yourself before sighing.
"He's made me used to his clingy behaviour. And then he won't text me." You spoke but suddenly realized what you were doing.

"Omo! Omo Y/N- what's wrong? Why are you thinking about him so much? AH!" You groaned before shutting down your phone as you pulled the duvet over your head trying to sleep. 

Taehyung's POV: 

"Why is my hand itching?" I asked myself sighing. Every single night I text Y/N for no reason. And it's been a routine for months now. 
"He's only arranged to her, but still she likes him. Hah, she was crying like that. I should just move on. I tried enough." I spoke before smiling sadly. Walking towards the fridge, I took out a can of beer, chugging it down. 

The burning sensation reminds me of the burning sensation of my heart. 

I turned on the TV. 'One day by Monsta X' I sighed chuckling bitterly. 
"Yeah, this song's mocking me too." I scoffed taking a sip of my beer.

"Will I?" I sighed before turning off the TV. This music video's rather making me annoyed.

--4 days later 

4 days passed in a swift. It was Mina's birthday on 7th August. Just a day later. You were still not sure about your feelings towards Hyunjin. But he truly tried his best in these 4 days. 
Calling you often, but he wasn't being all nice and romantic which was unlike him and you knew it. You knew he was trying to make time and be better to you, not different but better. But it wasn't really affecting you. You were rather confused. 

Everything was normal except for one thing. Taehyung's behaviour. He wasn't calling you for reason. You were confused. Usually, he'd not go a single day without annoying you by calling or texting. These days, he didn't call you once, he only texted you once. That was for asking whether you're doing well or not. 
"Is he too busy?" You asked yourself before sighing. He didn't even visit the company like before. 
"Well... the collaboration is over.. why would he visit? Weird of me." You spoke shrugging it off doing your work. 

"Y/Niee~~ What are you doing~" Suddenly you heard a voice looking behind to see Mina swaying happily while coming towards you. 
"I know it's your birthday. And I am coming. Don't worry." You spoke as her smile dropped.
"OHHO! PLAY ALONG! I know you know it... after all, you can't forget or I'll smack your ass but- still!" She whined as you chuckled.
"Okay ma'am~" You giggled as she made a 'tch' at you.

"I want to invite Mr Kim too." She spoke as you looked at her confused.
"What do you mean?" You asked as she replied, "Are you dumb? I wanna invite him to my party." You spoke, "Then do so." She sighed. 
"Yeah, you have to invite him." You frowned at her statement.
"Why should I? It's your party!" You spoke confused as she said, "I don't have his number..." 
"Wasn't he, your friend?" You asked as she looked at you confused.

"I saw you laughing and chatting with him that day. Don't you always collect people's numbers?" You asked as she sighed.
"Yah you dumbo! We were laughing while talking about you. It wasn't something like- friends or anything. He just kept asking me about you." She spoke as you made an 'O'. 

"Well... then, it's on my phone. Get it yourself." You spoke as she scoffed taking your phone trying to find his contact. But she frowned seeing something.
"Yah, Hyunjin- sent you something. He wants to have lunch." She spoke as you smacked her head.
"You- why do you check chats?! Just search his number, you idiot!" You spoke as she said, "It just showed! As a notification." You sighed telling her everything from the past 5 days. 

"WHAT THE ACTUAL- HE APOLOGIZED?!" She asked as you nodded. 
"That's weirdly weird." She spoke as you sighed saying, "I know right... you know- I don't think I feel the same with him. I am relieved and glad he is trying but it doesn't affect me a lot." She sighed saying, "It's okay. Figure out your feelings and do what you want. Talk it out with him." You smiled at her. 

"Okay I found his number, see you." She said after a minute of browsing her phone. You sighed focusing back on your work while saying, "Is he gonna come? I didn't see him for long." 

---At night 

"The dinner tastes good," Hyunjin spoke as you nodded but your mind was somewhere else. 
"Y/N?" Hyunjin asked as you looked at him a little surprised. Sighing, you hummed as he spoke, "Are you not feeling well?" You shook your head saying, "Ah, I am okay. Just- a little- zoned out." 
He nodded saying, "Should we order a tea for you?" You smiled nodding. 

--Time skip

"See you." You waved at Hyunjin who left. While driving, he smiled a little. 
"I should've known before. She's cute." He spoke while driving. On the other hand, you sighed. 
"Days are passing and my butterflies disappeared. I don't think I feel the same anymore." You spoke getting in your house. 

---On Mina's Birthday Party 

"Yuh! Y/N~~~ Oh my- is that for me?!" She asked seeing a bag full of gifts as you nodded. Before coming, you got her some plushies and makeup knowing how much she likes it. 
"Thankyouuu!!!" She spoke giggling as you smiled.
"Yeah, sad birthday!" You spoke as she scoffed smacking your head making you groan. It was a little yet beautiful birthday party where a few close people were invited. 

"Mr Lee!" You spoke bowing a little as he sighed.
"Why do you all act like I am 40?! I am only 28." He scoffed as you all giggled.
"But you're still our CEO." You spoke as he replied, "Not here though." You all laughed and chatted for a while. 
"Ah, I am here," Hyunjin spoke coming in as Mina greeted him. He gave Mina her gift as she thanked him and welcomed him. 

"You look cute." Hyunjin spoke as you smiled mumbling, 'Thank you'. It wasn't giving you the exciting feels but you were glad, he was being a better friend.
"You look good too!" You spoke smiling as he thanked you back. 
"Okay, you both- stop that! It's my birthday, I am the spotlight!" Mina spoke as you made faces at her while she made faces back at you. Some time passed, everyone was busy making jokes and laughter, eating and clicking photos. 

"Ah, is Taehyung not coming?" You asked Mr Lee who looked at you confused.
"Ah- he told me to not call him Mr Kim." You spoke as Mr Lee chuckled saying, "I know that well. He's one of a kind. But truly, where on earth is he?!" 

"I invited him like- thrice. Why isn't he here yet?" Mina asked as you all searched for him.
"Who are you all talking about?" Hyunjin asked cluelessly as you glanced at him before pretending not to hear him.
"Ah, one of the very important people in our squad," Mina spoke as Mr Lee sighed.
"I know I told you I am not your CEO here but I don't want to be in any squad. And Taehyung is actually the CEO of GoGo Play. Our company's collaborator and our friend." Mr Lee spoke as Hyunjin nodded. 

"You need to know how to talk," Jungkook spoke to Mina who rolled her eyes. 
"Where on earth is Jimin?!" Jungkook asked as Mina pointed towards the food stall. Jungkook cursed under his breath seeing Jimin stuff food in his mouth leaving people. 

You were also waiting for Taehyung. You didn't see him for almost a week now. He didn't even text you properly nor did he call you. It was as if you made a best friend and they disappeared the next day. You were lost in your thoughts but your attention diverted when you heard a deep familiar voice, 

"Were you all waiting for me?"
