Author's POV: 

"The noodles were overcooked." You spoke as Taehyung let out a sarcastic chuckle saying, "That's why you ate 4 bowls." You glared at him saying, "The bowls were small!" He let out an airy laugh before sitting on the couch in front of you.
"Let's go sleep then." He spoke as you asked, "Won't you change?" He eyed you for a while suspiciously as you sighed.

"I am asking since you're wearing those jeans and tee. It doesn't look comfy for sleeping." He chuckled saying, "Of course, I'll change. I will change in my room and go to bed, don't worry." You scoffed muttering under your breath, "When did I even worry? Weirdo." He sighed hearing you clearly but pretended not to know how you'd glare at him like an angry bird. 

"Goodnight." He spoke going to his room but you heard his yell, "I will lock the door so quit dreaming!" 
"What a lunatic!" You scoffed before sitting on the bed.
"One moment I am grateful to him, the next moment he makes me regret everything. Tch, annoying asshole." You spoke before sitting in front of the mirror. 
"I should wash my face now." You spoke before going to the bathroom washing your face and getting fresh.  

---Time skip

"Ah, I don't know what to do. I don't feel sleepy." You rolled your eyes before scrolling your phone.
"It's 2 am right now. Good thing he didn't try to get in. Maybe he's sleeping." You spoke before smirking but soon coughed.

"Omo omo! Y/N, what are you thinking? I know it's your first time in a house with a man but don't get swayed! He's just a lunatic and I am arranged. Ah, not like I have feelings for that weirdo." You sighed before scrolling your phone.
"But how can I trust him? Wait, didn't I say I trusted him just 4-5 hours ago?" You blinked awkwardly before saying, "Still, it's true he's trustworthy. I am being picky for nothing." You kept your phone down before trying to sleep.

Taehyung's POV: 

"She's in the room next to me." I chuckled a little before shrugging it off.
"She's arranged and she doesn't like me. Why am I so flustered and excited? Side effects of love, they said." I sighed before going towards the balcony but suddenly I stopped to hear my phone ringing. Who is calling me at 2 am? 

I looked at the caller ID to see 'Restricted Number'. My face hardened as I picked it up. 

"After so many days, Hello~ Kim Taehyung. How have you been?" A voice spoke as I scoffed saying, "Very good and peaceful. Until now." 
"Pretty savage huh~ Well, I hope that stays when I destroy your everything." I sarcastically laughed at the statement.
"In your dreams. And just stop this nonsense because the day you'll be caught isn't far." I spoke coldly as the other voice let out a sinister laugh. 
"We'll see." I hung up before sighing. 

This started a year ago. I started getting calls from an unknown person always threatening and bugging me. At first, I thought it was a hater or something but turns out it was a serious issue. Though I filed a complaint in the police station, the investigation is still going on and I don't know what will happen. Well, one of the reasons I met Y/N was also because of the spies he sent. So I could lure his spy, I stalled her time for no reason. Some things do happen for a special reason.

"I was pretty happy. My mood's completely ruined now." I scoffed.

Author's POV: 

"Ah, I am thirsty." You groaned getting up. There was no water jug or glass in the bedroom so you got down. The place was already dark enough and you couldn't see anything properly.
"Where are the switches?!" You whisper-yelled sighing. But soon your body froze as you heard some movements from the kitchen. Gulping, you slowly walked towards the kitchen trying your best not to scream in fear. 

'What if it's a ghost?' You thought but gulped shrugging it off. Walking towards the kitchen, you saw the fridge was open. Your eyes widened as you thought, 'Is it a food-stealing ghost?! I can't trust anything, we're near the countryside as well.' 
You walked towards the kitchen in curiosity as well as fear but screamed flinching feeling a hand on your shoulder. 

"HELP- AAAAAAAA!" You screamed throwing your hands here and there closing your eyes in fear. But soon heard the sound of the switch as a voice spoke, "Yah- why are you screaming?!" You opened your eyes gasping.
"Y-You... there was a ghost- was it you?!" You asked as he scratched his back.
"I was drinking water." He replied as you let out a deep sigh. 

"I almost died thinking it was a ghost. WHO DRINKS WATER AT NIGHT IN THE DARK?!" You asked as he chuckled. 
"What's so funny?!" You rolled your eyes as he laughed. 
"You're funny." You scoffed before saying, "I am even more thirsty now." He smiled before taking a glass as he poured some water handing it to you.

"There, relax. Why aren't you sleeping yet though?" He asked as you gulped the water before saying, "How can I..." He looked at you confused as you replied awkwardly, "Nothing, I am just, not sleepy." He smiled before saying, "If you aren't sleepy, wanna play a game?" You frowned.

"What game?" You asked as he smirked saying, "You know LOL right?" 

---Time skip

"Yah! RIGHT RIGHT!"
"AHHH!! I DIED!"
"Come on! You lost!"
"Yah! The monster- You suck so much!"
"Are you sure this isn't your first time?!"
"Ah! Shut up Kim Taehyung!"
"AAAA! EUN Y/N-" 

Hours passed by, and now it was 5:30 am. You and Taehyung played video games the entire night. 
"It was supposed to be a 20-minute game." You spoke as he gulped saying, "Well, it is! 20+20+20+20+20+20+20+20+20+20 minute game." 
"Ah! We didn't sleep at all." You spoke as he scratched his back thinking you were mad.
"But it's good! I didn't pull all-nighters in a long while. The last time I did this was probably when I was in University. That too for assignment." You spoke chuckling as he gasped a little smiling. 

"It was fun. A full day and a full night, no work! Just- chill." You spoke as he smiled.
"The other road which we can use today opens at 7 am and closes at 9 pm. So let's be fast!" He spoke as you nodded. 
"Since we didn't sleep at all, let's just start our day. There are some good places you might want to visit before going back." He spoke as you frowned but nodded.

--Time skip

"Tch, you surely cook well. I didn't know." You spoke as he chuckled.
"I know right, I am perfect~" He spoke as you scoffed saying, "Yeah yeah." He thinned his lips before enjoying breakfast. 

--6:00 am 

"Let's go for a walk. The perfect way to start a day!" You spoke as he looked at you confused.
"Aren't you tired?" You shook your head.
"No, I think I am rather tired when I sleep my ass off." You replied as he sighed. 

You both took a walk on the beautiful and empty roads before returning back. You sat in the garden of the vacation house. There were so many flowers and trees and birds and butterflies enjoying. 
"It's beautiful." You spoke as he smiled.
"This house is a very pretty place. I always liked this house. It reminds me of my family, lively and fresh." You looked at him confused. 
"Then just go visit your family." You spoke as he replied, "I want to as well. But I have to wait. They're too far away from this world." 

You looked at him trying to figure out if what he meant was exactly what you were thinking. He chuckled seeing your face, "Yeah, my parents passed away. In a car accident when I was 17." Your eyes widened a little as you looked at him gulping. 
"I'm sorry... to hear that." You spoke as he chuckled saying, "It's okay. It isn't your fault." You looked at him before looking away. A feeling of hurt arises in your heart. 

"Let's go get ready to go back." He spoke as you nodded following him. You were feeling sad for him. You didn't expect a bright and cheerful person like him to have a sad past. 
"Come to think of it, I don't even know him well. He's always cheering me up and helping me but I don't even know him well." You muttered while changing your clothes. 

Going outside, you got in the car looking at him smiling. You spoke, "When's your birthday?" He looked at you confused.
"Why?" He asked as you spoke, "I just don't know anything about you. That's why." He chuckled saying, "Yah, if you act that way, I will feel rather bad. It looks like you pity me which I don't want. It gives me false hope." He spoke as you looked at him confused. 

"30th December. I can't ignore your question." He spoke a while later as you gasped. 
"Tch, what a rare day." You spoke as he chuckled while driving. 
'The more I get to know him, he looks warmer. I am curious about him now.'
