Each step I was taking downstairs felt like I was walking to get beheaded. What if he asks me to marry him? I love him and I don't see myself with anyone else.  But it is too soon to get married! As he was walking down the stairs with me following right after, he kept looking back and smiling and I smiled back and made some sort of expression which told him I can't contain my excitement. Fake excitement.

But the face came out as if saying 'I can't hold in my vomit' probably because the third time he looked concerned and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Better than okay!" I smiled. As we reached the ground floor in about three minutes which felt like three hours to me what I saw was.......nothing.

No little children holding a banner saying 'Will You Marry Me?'

No array of candles and roses with a beautiful table in between, already set for breakfast and a waiter holding a champagne bottle so that when he pours some in my glass and I take a sip, a beautiful ring ends up in my mouth.

Who has Champagne for breakfast?

Did I go too deep into my imagination?

Anyway, there was definitely no Shivam bending down on his knees to ask me to marry him.

However there was a Shivam asking me to get inside his car and driving us off somewhere.

"Where are we going?"

"You will see." Of course he wasn't going to ask me to marry him in the compound of my building. He was probably taking me to some fancy restaurant and knowing Shivam, he likes doing things differently. He has probably planned all this in the morning so that I don't suspect a thing.

Did he realize I was in my Winnie The Pooh Tee?

"Don't you think I should have changed?"

"Yeah but you had already taken so much time and we were getting late." He said glancing at his watch.

Oh my god, he thinks I should have changed! I'm going to get proposed to in my Winnie The Pooh Tee and I'm going to reject the man I love in my Winnie The Pooh Tee!

I'm going to reject him? I don't know! I don't want to lose him. I am well aware that my choice of tee is not really significant in the situation at hand but can you blame me?

Around 45 minutes later we reached Connaught Place. It is one of the largest financial and commercial business centres in New Delhi. It also has some of the best places to shop and eat at. Were we going to some fancy restaurant here?

He parked the car in front of a building and took my hand and led me upstairs. No more stairs, please!

As we reached the second floor, he opened the door and I found my Agent already standing there. She looked really happy and I had no observe my surroundings. I was in an all white room. There were two couches in the lobby and a desk with a phone and desktop on it. All my works and achievements were neatly framed and hanging on the walls. There was a brown door and Shivam, who had a mischievous smile on his face led me towards it.

"Oh my god."

As I got inside this room, I could not help but get flooded with gratitude. One wall was completely glass and the others again had my pictures from all my social and professional engagements. Including covers of my previous books. There was also a bookshelf that contained my works and some other works that I like to read often. There was a huge desk against one wall complete with a chair. The desk had a desktop, pens and stuff on it too. The room was completed with another couch beside the entrance door.

"What is this place?"

"This place, my dear, is your office!" Vivian announced just as Shivam planted a kiss around on neck. Ooo. Shivers.

"I need.. a office?" I was too overwhelmed to speak.

"Yes you do. This is where you will hold your meetings with editors, publicists and of course some fans maybe? We will have you guest writing for some more magazines and maybe newspapers after your stunt at Woman In Me. It is going to get you more exposure and it will help me expand your reader base."

I did not understand her but it all sounded so good. Blame Shivam for continuously planting kisses on my neck and cheeks.

"We cannot hold your meetings at your place or Coffee shops anymore unless it is someone really important. I was thinking of talking to you about an office when Shivam came to me!"

"What?" I looked at him.

"Well, it was something you always said you wanted and after you told me about your new job, I decided to talk to Vivian first to sat I could surprise you," he said. "And to be honest, your office is only five minutes away from mine. What do you say? Are you okay with this?"

"Better than okay!" And this time I meant it.

Turns out the lease was already paid by Shivam along with the first three month's rent. I loved this new place. It was a huge dream of mine and now it was true. I  could not stop making plans for how to operate from here but Shivam's kisses had distracted me real bad.

After Vivian left, I hugged Shivam the longest I had ever hugged before. How can you not love someone so thoughtful? So sweet? "What do you say we inaugurate this place?"

"Sure baby, you wanna hold a party or something?"

"No." I replied and kisses him on his neck, slowly building my way to his cheeks.

And a minute later, he got what I meant.

And my new office was celebrated ... in our own way... getting us both into the climax of paradise.

"So what did the doctor say?"

"All is well." Anidhi announced as she exited her doctor's office. Divyam was at an important business meeting and could not get out of it so I accompanied her to her appointment. "She said my craving was raw bananas is completely normal."

"And what about you being a potential sex addict?"

"Normal." She said happily. "First time ever, it was Divyam rejecting me yesterday night!"

Can't blame him, Anidhi was as big as three watermelons combined.

"Don't worry you will be back in the sack soon." I replied as we reached my car.

"Like you! I'm so jealous."

"What do you mean?" I asked her bewildered.

"You are glowing," she said like it was obvious. "Your walk is different. Your hips are swinging a bit more. You are blushing and you might want to cover up that hickey!" she said touching my neck. "You did the deed finally, didn't you?"

Now I was as red as a tomato. "Do you think my mother will know?"

"You are twenty five Nehal! I think she understands."

"She is my mother and I don't care  if she understands. I don't want her to know!"

"So what was  it like after?" she asked excitedly. "Did you feel guilty?"

"No, I wanted to." I replied. "He told me that I made him the happiest man in the world."

"Men."  She huffed. "Although, yes, romantic. He did get you, an office to yourself!"

I laughed and she continued, "I don't know why you are so worried about marrying him."

"How do you know about that?"

"Ayush." chirped.

"Doesn't matter. I'm sure he understands that I need to focus on work first and marriage is the last thing on my mind."

"Yeah." She replied and got out of the car because we had reached her place. "You have nothing to worry about. Why else will he get you an office instead of a ring?"

I have nothing to worry about.

A/N:- Also if you check General Fiction category, you will find that my other story is on the HOT LIST as well. It is called United We Stand. I'm posting the prologue below.

"Kitty, we have two problems. One is the world and the other is you." He towers over my five feet six frame with his six feet two well built body. Sweat glistens on his bare arms and his arms are full of fresh new wounds.

"What do you mean?" My heart beats grew faster. Does he know?

"I wish you we were born three decades earlier, so I did not have to do what I am about to do now." He steps closer. "I would then just have dated you, married you and had cute kids with you."

"What are you about to do now?"

He comes even more closer. A sharp pain goes through my chest.

Then everything goes dark.

See you guys!
