"Oh, we're... We're in a relationship now?" 

I bit my lower lip while he was still in front of me, staring into my eyes. I was wearing a dress, so it was a bit awkward to sit on the desk while he was between my legs. Both of his hands were still holding onto my sides.

"Uhm, Engineer Camero, may itatanong daw si Sir Anthony sa site. Babalik ka pa ba?" Engineer Lavin glanced at me, smirking. 

"Oo, babalik na." Sevi nodded. 

Kinuha ko ang bag ko at sumunod na sa kanila palabas. I tied my hair up while walking para hindi halatang magulo. Engineer Lavin and Sevi were talking while we were on our way back. Sinuot ko na rin ang hard hat ko nang makarating kami sa site. Austin was there, talking to his dad but he stopped when he saw me. 

"Hey, are you okay?" Austin looked so worried. 

"What? Of course. Why are you asking?" I already checked my face in the mirror. Medyo humulas 'yong makeup pero lipstick lang ang kailangan kong i-retouch. 

"Nothing. You look weird." Austin put his hand on my shoulder. 

"Please stop doing that." Lumayo ako sa kaniya. May boyfriend na ako!

We were walking again. Sevi was talking to Austin's dad, explaining something about the construction and the materials. I looked away, trying to stretch my legs. They were shaking a bit. Damn. 

"Mukhang hardworking ka, Engineer. Nalulukot pa ang damit mo. Siguro hands-on ka talaga rito," Mr. Del Rosario commented. 

I bit my lower lip and looked away, feeling awkward. Tiningnan ni Sevi ang polo niya at sinubukang takpan 'yon. Engineer Lavin was trying to contain his laugh by covering his mouth. 

"Very hands-on, Sir," Sevi answered. 

"Sa sobrang hands-on po niya, napakarami niyang tinatrabaho rito." Engineer Lavin laughed again. "Lalo na sa office!" 

"Are you cold?" Austin asked, about to take his coat off to lend it to me. Umiling ako. "You're shaking a bit... Oh, never mind. You're sweating buckets." 

"Saan ka galing, Engineer? Mukhang natagalan," Austin's dad asked. "May problema ba sa site? What's with the phone call?" 

"Ah, hindi po. Tumawag lang 'yong Architect namin sa site sa Rizal. Nagpunta na rin ako sa office para maghanap ng... files." Sevi bit his lower lip. 

"Miss Ledezma..." Our Operations head went to me, holding her iPad. "May ipapacheck lang po ako sa... Okay lang po ba kayo? Namumula po 'yong sa banda rito n'yo." She pointed at her collarbones. 

"W-what?" I took my phone out to see. 

Fuck! Sevi gave me a damn mark! 

"Ah, ha-ha!" I awkwardly laughed. "Lamok! Nakagat ako! Ang dami palang mosquito rito!" 

"What's the problem, Elyse? Mosquito? Engineer Camero, hindi ba dapat safe ang site sa mga ganiyan? Mamaya may dalang sakit na pala 'yong mga lamok dito," Austin's dad scolded him. 

"Wala naman po..." Sevi looked around. "Baka may... ibang kumagat kay Miss Ledezma." 

Unprofessional! Oh my gosh! I promised not to do that again. That was so wrong of us. 

Engineer Lavin let out a short laugh before covering his mouth again and looking away because of Sevi's glare. Oh my god, I felt so embarrassed. Mabuti na lang ay naglakad na kami paalis doon. 

"Elyse, do you want to have dinner together?" Austin asked while we were walking back to the parking. 

"How about 'yong mga office n'yo? Are they comfortable? Are they clean?" Mr. Del Rosario asked. "Do you mind if we take a look?" 

I started coughing. Parang may bumara sa lalamunan ko. Napatingin sila sa 'kin, including Sevi. Austin worriedly gave me a bottle of water. Kinuha ko 'yon sa kamay niya at ininuman. Good thing it was new. 

"Malinis naman po ang mga office." Engineer Lavin nodded. "'Di ba, Engineer Camero?" 

Sevi nodded. He wasn't even nervous. 

"Mind if we take a look?" Austin's dad asked. 

"Sure, Sir," sagot naman ni Sevi. 

I felt like I would faint. My heart was beating so fast while we were walking towards the office. Inuna namin ang ibang office ng ibang engineers and architects bago pumasok sa office nila Sevi. Good thing the aircon was left turned on, so malamig na sa loob. 

"Malinis naman." Mr. Del Rosario nodded. "Kaninong desk 'yon? Medyo messy, Engineer." 

Pinaypayan ko ang sarili ko gamit ang aking kamay. I was starting to sweat again out of nervousness. I can't believe I did that. It was so wrong! Ngayon, kinakabahan tuloy ako dahil alam kong may ginawa akong mali! Damn, we really should not do that again. 

"Ah, sa 'kin po." Sevi went to his desk to fix it. "Nagmamadali ho kasi ako kanina noong naghahanap ng files. Medyo nakaka-pressure si Architect. Hindi ko na naayos." 

Mabuti na lang ay lumabas na rin kami roon. I put my hands on my back and played with my fingers while waiting for them to finish their discussion. Austin's dad was asking so many questions. Sevi was patient and smart enough to answer all of them. He was so casual, like he wasn't talking to the chairman.

"Are you hungry? Dinner?" Austin asked again. 

"No, I need to go home early." I looked at him. 

"Austin, we're going. Thanks a lot, Engineer Camero," Tito Anthony said before walking back to the parking lot with Mr. Del Rosario and the Operations head. 

I was left here with Austin. Sevi and Engineer Lavin were standing two meters away from us. They were talking about something, but Sevi's gaze was in my direction. Tawa nang tawa si Engineer Lavin habang may sinasabi. 

"Maybe I can visit you sa condo mo? You agreed last time. Sabi mo next time, right?" Austin asked again. 

"No, I don't allow visitors, eh." I gave him an awkward smile. 

I was about to walk away when he held on to my arm. Napairap ako bago naglakad pabalik para harapin siya. 

"Engineer Camero!" I looked at Bianca who was walking towards our direction. Umiwas siya ng tingin sa 'kin at naglakad palapit kay Sevi. "Have you eaten lunch? Kinain mo ba 'yong dinala ko?" 

What? Nagdala na naman siya ng food?! Nakaka-ilan na siya, ha! Engineer siya, not a chef! Hmp... I was getting jealous. 

"Hindi. Busog ako, eh, kaya binigay ko kay Engineer Lavin." Siniko ni Sevi si Engineer Lavin. 

"Oo!" Engineer Lavin smiled. "Mainit-init pa! Ang sarap! 'Di ba, Engineer Camero?"

"Malay ko, gago." Sevi rolled his eyes. 

"Elyse," Austin called me again to get my attention. "Let's go? Nauna na sina Daddy. I think we need to go now." 

"Yeah, right..." I nodded. "Magpaalam muna tayo sa kanila." 

Austin looked like he didn't want to pero sumunod pa rin siya sa 'kin nang maglakad ako palapit sa pwesto nila Sevi. Sevi crossed his arms over his chest and raised a brow when he saw us walking in their direction. Bianca was saying something to him, but he wasn't listening. 

"Engineer Lavin, Engineer Camero, thank you for accommodating us today. I'm sure you guys are busy." I gave them a smile. 

"We're going now." Austin held my arm and tried to pull me away. 

My eyes widened when Sevi pulled me on my waist, forcing Austin to let go. Bianca's lips parted, stepping back. Engineer Lavin laughed a bit, whispering something to himself. 

"Ingat kayo." Sevi leaned to give me a soft kiss. 

I blinked twice when he let go of me. My heart was beating so fast! Bianca and Austin both looked so shocked about what happened. I faked a cough and stepped back, holding my bag so tightly. I couldn't look at him anymore! 

"T-thanks. We're... g-going now." I awkwardly glanced at Engineer Lavin, who was already smirking. He just gave me a small wave, raising his brows to tease me. 

Nang makarating kami sa parking, binuksan ko na ang pinto ng kotse ko. I was about to go inside when Austin suddenly talked. 

"What the fuck was that, Elyse?" he asked me, gritting his teeth. 

"That was... a kiss?" I almost rolled my eyes. 

"You know what I mean. What the fuck was that? You didn't tell me about that!" Austin sounded mad. 

"I'm not single anymore, okay? What's there to be so mad about?" My brows furrowed, closing my car door again to walk towards him. 

"Sabi mo sa 'kin you're not in a relationship with anyone, and then suddenly... you're not single anymore?" He looked like he was hurt. 

"Hey, listen..." I sighed heavily. "I'm so sorry, but just because I wasn't in a relationship with anyone before doesn't mean it was an invitation for you to court me. I am not interested in you. I already made that clear." 

"I was just asking you to give me a chance." He swallowed hard. "He hurt you, Elyse. He doesn't deserve you." 

"I don't care about your opinion in my personal life. Ano b'ang alam mo sa kung ano ang deserve ko?!" I was starting to get annoyed. "That is on me! Stay out of it!" 

"You will regret this in the future, Elyse." He shook his head as his tears started to fall. "He would be the downfall of you. Again." 

I glared at him before getting inside my car again. He drove away so fast. Huminga ako nang malalim bago nag-drive paalis. I went back to my office to get some of my things before going home. Sevi stayed in Batangas for a week, so I was alone in the unit. It was fine. Nagvi-videocall naman kami.

"What are you doing na? Did you eat dinner?" I asked while we were on a video call. Nakahiga siya sa hotel room niya at nakapag-shower na. 

"Oo, kumain na..." he said, adjusting his position. He put his arm under his head and looked at the camera. "Ang ganda mo naman," he suddenly said. 

I immediately blushed and even covered my face a little. "Stop. I'm getting embarrassed."

"Kinikilig ka lang," pang-aasar niya. "Yiee, kunwari pa." 

We would always talk about the small things like what we did the whole day, what we worked on, kwento about the people we were with, and the food we ate. Those small things kept our conversation going. 

"Miss Ledezma, you have a visitor po," sabi ni Alice sa intercom noong break time ko sa office. 

"Who?" My brows furrowed. "I don't have an appointment today. I'm busy. You know I'm not accepting visitors to-"

"Si Engineer Camero p-"

"Let him in, please," I cut her off. 

Dali-dali kong kinuha ang maliit kong mirror para tingnan 'yong itsura ko. I winked to the mirror before playing it down. I acted like I was busy with the documents when Sevi came inside my office. 

"Hi." Sevi gave me a smile after closing the door. 

"You're back, baby!" I sounded like an excited kid. Tumayo kaagad ako at tumakbo sa kaniya para yakapin siya sa leeg. Good thing. I was wearing heels. 

He wrapped his arms around my waist and carried me, my feet leaving the floor. I wrapped my legs around his waist and hugged him tightly. I was so thrilled to see him again! He smelled so good too!

"Madam, coffee- Shocks!" Alice suddenly closed the door. 

Binitawan ko kaagad si Sevi sa sobrang hiya. Binaba naman niya kaagad ako. I sat on the couch awkwardly. Lumabas si Sevi saglit para kausapin si Alice bago pumasok ulit at umupo sa tabi ko. 

"Sabi niya hindi ka pa nagla-lunch." Sevi put the paper bag on the coffee table. 

"What's that?" My brows furrowed. 

"Carbonara. Nagluto ako." He proudly smiled. "Bagong luto 'yan. Aalis na rin ako. Pupunta pa 'kong Tagaytay."

"Agad?!" I pouted, reaching for his hand. "I haven't seen you for a week!" 

"Sa 'yo ako uuwi mamaya." He kissed my forehead before getting his things. 

I rolled my eyes, opening the food container. 

"Kumain ka ah," he reminded me before leaving my office. 

I hoped that the rumors with Austin would die down. It did, but since Sevi visited my office that day, napalitan naman 'yon ng rumors about me and Sevi! Sabi ng iba, nililigawan daw niya 'ko and sabi naman ng iba, kabit ko si Sevi kay Austin. My gosh! The company was stressing me out! 

I didn't want a public relationship from the start. Hindi kami ganoon ni Sevi kahit noon pa. We didn't like broadcasting it, lalo na't may project kami together. Baka sabihin ng iba, binigyan ko ng project si Sevi dahil favorite ko. I wasn't even informed na may project kami with Valeria when I came here! 

I ate his carbonara and went back to work. I went home around six o'clock. I just had to check some files. Muntik na 'kong mapagsarahan ng elevator sa parking ng condo. Mabuti na lang ay napindot ko 'yong button. 

"Sorry, I-" I stopped when I saw Sevi inside, kararating lang din. "Hey, you look sad. What happened?" 

"Nagtae ka ba sa carbonara ko?" His brows furrowed, thinking about something. 

"What? No." I shook my head. "Why?" 

"Hindi ba masarap?" He looked like he was hurt. 

"Masarap naman, ah! Sino'ng may sabing hindi? I'm ready to fight! Who's that, huh?!" I crossed my arms over my chest and raised a brow. 

"Wala. Papansin lang siguro si Luna." He still looked so confused. Halatang may iniisip siya hanggang sa makarating kami sa unit. 

"What? Nilutuan mo rin ang iba, huh?" reklamo ko nang ibalik ang heels ko sa walk-in closet. "I thought ako lang ang nilutuan mo. I even thought it was sweet! Dalawa pala kami! How dare you! May kabit ka pala..." I joked. 

"Pinakain ko rin ng carbonara 'yong construction workers tsaka si Engineer Lavin. Ang dami ko naman palang kabit kung ganoon." He raised a brow. 

"Ewan ko sa 'yo," nagtatampong sabi ko. "Buti nga sa 'yo. Hindi maasarap ang carbonara mo!"

"Ikaw, below the belt ka na, ah." Sevi held his chest dramatically. "Nakaka-offend ka!"

I rolled my eyes before leaving the room. Binunggo ko pa siya dahil nakaharang siya sa dadaanan ko. I laughed loudly when he complained, holding his shoulder. 

I showered and went out of the bathroom wearing my purple nighties. When I went out, Sevi was already trying to find something to cook. Nakasimangot pa. Inismiran niya 'ko nang mag-tama ang tingin namin. 

"What? You're mad?" I laughed again.

"Bawiin mo 'yong sinabi mo," nagtatampong sabi niya.

"About your carbonara?" I laughed. Sineryoso niya pala 'yon. "Oh, I'm sorry na, babe. Masarap 'yong luto mo, promise." 

"Buti alam mo. 'Yong luto mo nga hindi edible eh," ganti niya. 

"Hey, I already said sorry, ah! Why are you still attacking?!" reklamo ko.

"Joke lang..." He laughed and gave me a hug. 

The next day, I woke up at around five because of Sevi's stupid alarm. Palaging ako 'yong nagigising habang siya 'yong tulog pa. Frustrated, I pulled my hair before reaching for his phone to turn the alarm off. Umupo ako sa kama, bringing the blanket with me to cover my chest because I wasn't wearing anything on top. Panty lang. We had a rough night. 

"Hey, wake up!" I hit his bare back with a pillow so he would get up. "Wake up, dummy!"

"Ano..." He looked irritated. He faced the other side and tried to sleep again. 

Inis akong bumaba ng kama at sinuot ang shirt niya sa sahig bago ko siya hinampas nang malakas gamit 'yong unan. He immediately glared at me, getting up using his arms. Na-flex tuloy ang muscles niya. I bit my lower lip and looked away,

"Go shower. I'll prepare breakfast." Binato ko sa kaniya ang unan bago ako naglakad palabas. 

"Oy, sabay tayo mag-shower!" he shouted from the room. 

I raised my middle finger in the air before going to the kitchen. I heard his laugh from the bedroom. 

I just prepared fried eggs and bacon. Nag-toast na rin ako ng bread bago nilapag sa lamesa. Sevi came out of the walk-in closet, looking so fresh. Basa pa ang buhok niya. He buckled his belt before sitting down in front of me. 

"Inom daw tayo next Saturday kasama sina Sam. Isasama kita," he suddenly said. 

"Really?!" I sounded so happy. "Sure! Wait... Kasama si Yanna? So... Kasama rin si Hiro?" I teased.

"Alam mo, ikaw..." Padabog niyang binitawan ang utensils niya at masama akong tiningnan. "Itatali na talaga kita." 

"Ooh, what? In bed?" I looked so thrilled. 

"Sa 'kin, tangek." He rolled his eyes, laughing. "Kung anu-ano iniisip mo diyan." 

I looked disappointed. Inirapan ko na lang siya at tinapos ang pagkain bago naligo at pumasok sa work. The next day, Sevi told me great news about Luna while we were watching a movie. 

"Where are you going?" I asked when he suddenly walked away. 

Pagbalik niya, dala-dala na niya ang laptop. He sat on the floor and placed it on the coffee table. He was browsing on some files. Umupo rin ako sa sahig para tabihan siya. 

"What's that?" I asked when I saw an illustration of a beautiful house. "Project mo?" 

"Project ni Theo," he pointed at it. "Bahay natin." He looked at it again. 

My heart doubled in beat. I stared at him for too long before turning my gaze back to the house. The design was so beautiful. Gawang professional talaga. It wasn't as big as a mansion, but it was enough for a family. Modern din ang design so hindi siya ganoon kalaki. 

"Ayaw ko ng masyadong malaki. Mukhang malungkot para sa pamilya, 'di ba?" He glanced at me. 

"You're right," I whispered, remembering our house. "It's better if family members would easily see each other every day. It would make them closer. Just enough space for privacy na rin." 

"May gusto ka bang ipabago?" he asked again.

"No, it looks good. Who designed it?" I still couldn't get over the fact that he referred to it as 'our' house. 

"Architect Valeria." 

I nodded, smiling. "She's so good. Saan mo balak ipatayo?" 

"May pinamanang lupa si Papa. Dito lang din, malapit sa kumpanya. Madali para sa 'tin." He held my hand. "Nakausap ko na... si Papa. Nagkabalikan sila ni Mama... Okay lang. Basta masaya si Mama, okay na 'ko roon. Lumipat na rin sila ng bahay." 

"Engineer Camero, huh," I referred to his dad. "He's still an engineer, right?" 

"Oo naman. Mas magaling pa sa 'kin." He smiled and leaned on the couch, staring at the laptop screen. "Sabi ko naman sa 'yo, mabilis akong magpatawad." 

I pursed my lips and leaned my head on his shoulder, thinking about my family. Pakiramdam ko'y wala nang mababago pa sa family namin. I should let it go and be free. Wala na si Mommy. She was the only one trying to fix it. 

"It sucks being a Ledezma." I laughed a little while he was playing with my hand. 

I went closer to him to cling on his arm. He suddenly stopped playing with my hand to get something. Napatingin ako sa kamay niya nang may kuhanin siya sa may ilalim ng lamesa. 

My eyes widened when I saw a small box in his hand. He opened it, revealing a beautiful ring inside. Tears started to pool in my eyes. 

"Gusto mo palitan ng apelyido ko?" he asked, smiling.
